Outstanding place to stay in Ulcinj.

By far, the most enjoyable stay of our three months in the Balkans! Kind hosts. Breakfast was delicious. We had a chance to relax with beautiful views of the Adriatic. Very peaceful during the time we were there. Plenty of great restaurants just steps away.

There were a lot of steps to get to the apartment.......and worth every one of them!

Disappointing. Right from finding the property to check in to a forced early checkout, nothing was how it was supposed t

Location of the property was in Old Town.

The entrance wasn’t even marked, the hosts barely spoke any English to be able to communicate the way to the property. The pictures were misleading as they showed an open view of the sea but it was a restricted view. The terrace wasn’t private. To make the matters worse, anyone walking by the street could peak into our room if they want to, which led to utter lack of privacy. Also, we were told that the late checkout was okay, but during our stay, we were asked to checkout 4 hours earlier than the agreed upon time which made our day more miserable as we couldn’t do the things we had planned on. (Nobody even checked in until we left, so we could have stayed a bit longer as it was agreed upon when the reservation was made)

Fabulously located large first floor apartment with sea views in Ulcinj’s Old Town.

Location was sensational! Overlooking the Adriatic sea, the first floor apartment is situated in Ulcinj’s Old Town. The apartment has a large balcony where we enjoyed sunset drinks and could relax after a day exploring. There is a kitchenette for self catering if you choose. Our lovely host, Fere provided a lovely breakfast for €5 each which was delicious and incredibly filling. Very kind and helpful staff. There is a lovely semi- private waterhole/ swimming area less than a 5 min walk from the apartment and lots of restaurants and bars within an easy walk. We definitely recommend this property.

Warm and friendly hosts in a beautiful spot

Our host was so so lovely. We arrived early and she accommodated us to check in early. I have a knee injury and she gave me cream and an ice pack. So very kind. The villa was beautiful with a stunning view and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you Villa Marinero for an amazing few days!

Personal castle

Everything was perfect. Like a private apartment in a real castle. You should be ready to carry your luggage upstairs as the parking place is down near the castle. But for us, that wasn't a problem. The hosts are very kind and are ready to help with any questions. We are ready to come back❤️ There are good restaurants and shop around. As well as a little beach.

Nice family run place in old town if that’s where you want to stay

It’s a family run place and the lady who takes charge is really sweet and helpful. She does your laundry which is nice. Located in the old town which can be good and bad - very quiet and lovely setting but hard work keep walking up and down to get there. Very comfortable large bed.

A few leaks in the bathroom from the shower etc. I think I’d now stay outside of the old town to avoid the steep climbs and overpriced restaurants there and rip off taxis to take you to the bus station.

The apartment is clean and in a very good location. Hosts were very nice and for what I paid it was good value for money.

The fridge is in the same room as the bed so noise was a bit of a distraction for sleeping. Toilet was slightly flushing all the time again a distraction for sleeping

With the kindest hosts, the unique castle location, to the most amazing view. This place had it all.

The location was just perfect. The hotel was in the middle of the old castle and the terrace had a 180 degree view over the sea. It was amazing.

Lovely view from the balcony, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, right in the centre of the old town. We managed to get parked very easily just outside the town wall near the sea, but it was incredibly quiet when we went.

The kitchen was basic, a 2 ring electric hob. We had enough cookware but could have done with more cutlery.

Idilic stay in Ulcinj!

Everything, Selim the owner was fantastic, he met us on arrival and helped us get a taxi when we left for Kotor. The room was great with a fantastic balcony that overlooked the Adriatic Sea. We can’t recommend enough Villa Marinero.
