Guesthouse E-ne

The host was incredibly kind and helpful. I loved his energy! He also speaks English. He brought me to an excellent local udon restaurant so I wouldn't have to walk in the dark/rain after my evening check-in. Really appreciate the kindness and the cleanliness of this guesthouse. The rooms are large and well-furnished, with plenty of storage and the on-site onsen was also definitely a plus. The guesthouse is only a 8 or so minute walk away from Oshino Hakkai and bus stops that take you around Lake Yamanaka for easy access to Mount Fuji views. The location is a little out of the way, down a long driveway in a beautiful forest. The guesthouse is not along many bus routes, or well-lit/populated streets and there is limited access to convenience stores, restaurants, and other amenities. This is only really an issue when arriving after dark. Note that taking a taxi may be needed. As mentioned before, the host was incredibly helpful and took this into consideration and was kind enough to arrange to bring me to a restaurant for dinner in a way that felt much safer for me. This was so much appreciated and a favourite memory from my trip.

We loved staying in this traditional Japanese Guest House. The host is so welcoming and we had a beautiful view of Mount Fuji from our tatami room.
