Koragaha Lodge - Yala

The rooms were really well decorated. We loved having our own little lodge. The beds were comfy, and the view out of the lodge was nice. The manager of the hotel was very attentive, and we had some great chats with him.

Food: We really disliked having to pre-order food from a set menu. Having to decide what we wanted to have for dinner whilst at breakfast. I don't understand why you need a set menu? The food was also very bland. 3 of us ate off the eastern menu, which was all super bland and tasteless. I don't understand why you can't have Sri Lankan food served traditionally? That's what we tourists are here for! And the breakfast was ok, but super bland again. The sandwiches on safari were really horrible. There aren't many drink options available, and they never give ice in the drinks. You could do with an espresso machine and a milk steamer - I think that is essential at a hotel where tourists can't get a good coffee in the surrounding area. Atmosphere: There is nothing to do in the surrounding area, so once you've done your safari and had a swim in the pool, it's best to move on. I heard they're building a spa, which will be really good for something to do in the afternoon once you get back from safari. Some live music in the evening would be nice, so you have a reason to sit at the restaurant for longer.

Close to Yala National Park. Excellent accommodation with a real Safari Lodge Vibe. Awesome rooms and food was excellent.

Lovely serene stay!! Pool was lovely and nestled in amongst nature. Rooms are nice and comfortable but maybe slightly dated. Easy to get to Yala from location. Quite far from any other shops/restaurants so we ended up only really eating at hotel. Food at hotel was really really good though, but expensive! Staff were helpful and friendly.

Shower water pressure was almost non existent

Friendly staff,good location and breakfast. They were very flexible with our breakfast time taking into account that we had a safari in the early morning.

Frequent electricity interrumptions during our stay. The shower did not have hot water and there were any space in the bathroom which provoked that many insects access the room. Despite the fact that the hotel had free rooms,they did not allow our driver to sleep in there, so he had to move to another hotel. The above situations should not be compatible with a very high price and star hotel. Not good value for money.
