    Tranquil Wild is truly one of a kind. Tucked away just a stone’s throw from Yala National Park Blocks 5 and 6 (the quieter, less crowded blocks compared to Block 1), this secluded resort offers an incredibly peaceful and immersive nature experience. The resort is beautifully maintained and stands out in a town where accommodation options are mostly motels. It feels exclusive, calm, and thoughtfully designed — a perfect escape from the bustling city. The property overlooks a lake with a stunning sunset view, and being surrounded by nature was such a treat. We spotted peacocks, birds, and other wildlife right within the grounds, which made the stay feel even more special. We also booked our full-day safari through Anne, and we were extremely contented with the entire experience. The staff woke up early to prepare breakfast and takeaway lunch for us — even thoughtfully including meals for the guide and driver to bring along during the safari. Everything was well-organised, seamless, and done with genuine care. What truly elevated our stay was the hospitality. Anne, the owner, is exceptionally warm, kind, and accommodating. We had a lovely chat with her, and her genuine care for guests really shines through. She made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat close to nature and Yala National Park, Tranquil Wild is an absolute gem. Highly recommended — we would definitely return.

    Amazing, kind, thoughtful people that just want you to have a great time. Lake fishing to Safari and then returning to a beautiful room with a swimming pool - I'll never forget it, Amal and Ravi are the best hosts! Food was also 5*. Best wishes, Charles

    Loved the place, one of our favourite rooms (family room) we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Clean, well set out, with everything you need. It feels like a safari lodge. Nice pool in really nice grounds with view into the lake and all the wildlife. The staff lead by Amal were all brilliant. Courteous and attentive. Amal was our guide for the safari and did a great job. The place was quiet when we stayed, they seem to have surprisingly few rooms on descent size grounds. Maybe more guests about would have made for a better atmosphere. We had mixed feelings about the restaurant, I think the trick is order local food, that was always good. The western stuff not so great. Overall the whole family loved the place and the people and would have happily stayed longer.

    Not great experience to be honest. Big nice room and great workers but owner not the most honest. Had trouble getting back refund. Millions of mosquitoes around the property and pool not clean. Food is hit and miss. Overall 100% won’t recommend it.
