Avoid this casino hotel!

I booked this so called 4 star hotel. My booking was non-refundable, but 2 days before my reservation I discovered it's only a 3 star hotel. It says so on the door outside. It's also in a casino. Horrible! I tried to get a refund days before my reservation and checkin, through booking customer service. They said they would ask the hotel, but not even a response from them. I called the hotel to ask, no response. I went to the hotel to get the refund, no response from anyone in charge (who wasn't there). Even some acknowledgement or a simple response or even a partial refund would have made me happy. Avoid this hotel! Horrible staff and it's probably dirty from all the gamblers staying there. Who else would want to stay in a casino? Booking.com should not falsely advertise this place. Bad customer service from booking.com as well.

Very nice room, great location and great value

Very nice room, top-quality mattress. The location is really good too, right in the centre of Varna. The front desk people were always helpful. Great value. The beach is really nice and the freebie public thermal pool is brilliant - you can hop between the sea and the thermals,which are at about 40C, I''d guess, as you never get cold, even after the sun starts slinking off. The sea park is really nice too, a lovely big green park with lots of trees and paths for walking, jogging or cycling etc. It is great to see it being so well used by the locals. Restaurant recommendation: Staria Chinar Preslav- there are 2 Staria Chinar restaurants in Varna, go to the one NOT on the main drag - it's big and busy. The other one is on a quiet street, really good food and really good atmosphere. (https://stariachinar.com/preslav/)

Efbet is actually a betting company (spot the clue!) - they seem to support a lot of Bulgarian football. The ground floor of the hotel is a casino, mostly full of one-armed bandits, as far as I could see. These places are fine if you go in knowing the odds are stacked against you and it's just a bit of fun. That's not how it is for many unfortunate punters though so I'm not a fan of these places. If you go, go for fun, indifferent to the losses. One of the bedside lights didn't work. They tried to fix it in the time we were there but it needed to be replaced. So probably fixed by now (room 32). Was impressed with the service, the problem was not ignored

Sehr gute Lage. Sehr freundliches Personal.Wir mussten früh aufstehen und bekamen früher unser Frühstück. Dieser Service ist nicht selbstverständlich. Wir entschieden uns für ein Continental und ein Engliches Frühstück und beides sehr ausreichend. Zimmer war zum schlafen gut und ruhig.

Petit déjeuner à la carte, pas de buffet. Le restaurant est très basique mais de nombreuses possibilités sur la place de l'opéra à quelques pas. chambre très spacieuse et calme.

Two nights for my wedding

I was a guest of Efbet hotel for two night during my wedding in Varna. We are very happy with our stay. Upon arriving we had a free parking spot reserved for us to the nearest parking. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff on the reception was exceptionally good and helpful to us, for which we are very grateful :). The location is perfectly close the many restaurants and convenient stores. I highly recommend to place.

Velbeliggende hotel med value for money

Velbeliggende hotel lige på byens torv. Dejligt badeværelse. Udmærket morgenmad i den lille café. Receptionisten stemplede vores p-billet, så vi kunne parkere gratis. Den mandlige receptionist var meget ffflink ogbtalte glimrende engelsk.

Man får indtryk af, at der er parkering ved hotellet, det er der ikke, og det kan være lidt svært at finde frem til parkeringspladsen. Hyggeligt med en gademusikant, men han spillede meget højt og til ret sent på aftenen. Det ville have været dejligt med en fritstående dobbeltseng, så den inderste person ikke skulle kravle over den anden.

Clean and cozy place at a reasonable price

Great place with friendly staff and cleaners willing to help in English with shower soap, room cleaning, etc. Toilet and shower are modern and bed is comfortable and clean. The surroundings are quiet and very close to the city center and beaches. Willing to come back to the accommodation.

Sehr freundliches Personal, ein anständiges Zimmer (Nr. 36) mit geräumigen Bad, alles sehr sauber, gute Matratze. Die Minibar ist bunt gefüllt zu günstigen Preisen (Bier, Wein, Saft, Wasser, Vodka, Whisky, Schokolade etc.). Wir hatten das "English Breakfast" mit Cappuccino & frisch gepressten Orangensaft für unschlagbare 10 BGN pro Person! Einfach WOW ! WLAN kostenfrei und Kostenübernahme des Parkplatzes gleich um die Ecke ! Großartig und absolut zu empfehlen !!!

Das Zimmer war für uns etwas zu warm zum schlafen. Ich bin mir nicht sicher ob die Klimaanlage funktioniert hat.

Clean and great situation.

Hotel is OK, rooms are clean but there is an awkward service. The hairdryer was not working and the receptionist said that hairdryers are not for hairstyling and the people with long hair are damaging the hairdryers and that she cannot open a hairdryer factory in the hotel…..she gave me one of course but the speech was ridiculous. Looks like people with long hair are not welcomed…. We were with guests from Canada who left early in the morning. At the checkout the same person told me that they have broken the toilet seat and that I have to pay 100 leva. I refused and she said she can call the police to solve the problem. I told her that the plastic toilet seats are quite old and bound to break and the hotel cannot charge its clients to change their used stuff. At the end she calmed down but what a weird attitude. We asked our guests and they said the toilet seat was loose and moving in all directions. Another thing. When I was looking for three double rooms Booking suggested an apartment for four people. I reserved it without looking at the pictures. The apartment is very nice but the two double beds are in the same room which is a bit awkward. The space is enormous, it could be arranged in a way with more privacy. We will not use this hotel again.

i didnt take any breakfast so i dont know about it. for one person the room was comfort but for 2 persons its could be a little bit smaller. the bath is very nice and big and you can play music while you take a bath so its cool
