Breakfasts were 5 star gourmet meals cooked on the premises individually! And the decor and ambiance was 100% what I expected of a true period house in Victoria. So easy to use public transport to get into the city - cheap, fast and efficient way to travel and see the sights of Victoria.

I was so beautiful. The breakfast that the ladies served were so delicious. They were so accommodating.

The stairs could be a problem for some people

Charming Victorian Inn. Location was close to downtown but not a busy section so was mostly quiet. Breakfast was generous & made to order. Duchess guest room was very spacious & nicely appointed. Large soaking tub was appreciated.

Clean overall but a few neglected places (dead flies on the dusty window frame…). Some deferred maintenance but generally comfortable with charm & history.

The lady who checked us in, who was also the person to serve us breakfast and was really only person we interacted with was an absolute gem. I can tell she is an exceptional worker and a good person. The home itself is stunningly beautiful, however there are some major issues. The breakfast was very tasty also.

The room was not clean, particularly the bathroom was not clean at all. There was a lot of mold on the shower curtains, unsurprising as there is no ventilation in the washroom at all. Plumbing overall needs an upgrade. Also, there was a man there who was painting the exterior of the building when we arrived. Which is not a negative in itself as I understand buildings need upkeep and maintaining. However as soon as we got settled in our room, he completely covered up the windows in the room from the outside and then left for the day. So for the entirety of our stay we had no windows in our room, we would have appreciated this being mentioned to us before our stay.
