Gorgeous property, stunning views and the pictures really don’t do it justice. Not one but two en-suites - great when you have teenage kids! Mary has thought of everything, there are even comfy chairs by the windows so you can just relax and take in the lovely views. There are fixed tables and benches outside - perfect for watching the sun set with a glass of wine. I can’t remember when I last felt so relaxed.Bedrooms are huge and beds are so comfy. My kids said it was the best sleep they had ever had! Fully equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need and brilliant to have a washing machine and dishwasher. There are Connemara ponies that come up to say hello when they see you and one day we even had a herd of 4 wild deer by the driveway!!Clifden is only a short drive away, and there you will find everything you need for eating out, shopping etc. Plus some beautiful beaches and Connemara National Park all close by. Mary was always brilliant at getting back to us if we had any questions, not only ahead of our arrival but also whilst we were there. Superb communication. This place really is a slice of Heaven and we can’t wait to come back again.

We had an excellent time on Connemara, and this house was a comfortable, beautiful home base. Beds, showers, kitchen amenities, view, and everything were lovely.

The property was beautiful and clean. I gave the location 5 stars but we enjoy being outside of town. Loved the horses and the herd of deer near the lake.

My family very much enjoyed this rental. We searched all of Ireland and parts of England and looked at basically every rental that met our criteria. The house is off a main road that has neighbors, but it is very private and none of the neighbors are near by. The house is well designed for two couples or a family of 4-5, and without much clutter. The kitchen has all the gear you would want, including fry pans that are still non stick. The location of the house is not too far from Clifden and not too far from Connemara. The internet was extreme strong and had no issue with 4 devices running. The only potential negative is we thought we could walk to the lake, but the field is tiered and there is no lake access directly from the house. Overall, this is one of our top 4 vacation rentals, we had a very relaxing time, and we would definitely stay here again. 10/10.

Absolutely lovely house, spotlessly clean, and with fabulous views.
The location was perfect, very peaceful, but also close to Cliften, within easy access to stunning beaches, walks and restaurants.
Mary was great - very quick to respond to messages and keen to make sure we had everything we needed.
Hope to be back again soon.

During our Ireland tour, we and our two adult children really enjoyed our three-day stay in the holiday home near Clifden. There is a fantastic view of the nearby lake and the landscape. Deer and horses could be seen at the lake. The house is spacious, in top condition and very quiet (5 minutes by car from Clifden, where there are many shops). The furnishings and sophisticated design of the interior, cleanliness, contact with the landlord - everything was perfect. We would go back anytime!

Stay was what the doctor ordered.
House set in hills about a mile up a side road from the main road. Peace and quiet in abundance with hares in garden in morning and deer in fields around house on a couple of evenings.
House was spotless and cosy with comfy bed and great shower.
Everything was as listed on website with good Wi-Fi.

A spacious house with all you need. Very good: a room/cupboard to dry everything that became wet during the walks, we made. Aside: there were also days with sunny moments!

My husband and I spent a lovely week in Marys house it is very clean and comfortable the surrounding area is beautiful and Clifden is a very pretty town with a good choice of restaurants and bars. Its about a 10 minute drive but could not walk to it as road is busy and windy. The weather was not great for us but the house was warm and cosy when we came back from our days out. Mary was very helpful and responded very quickly to any questions. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location by a lake with very few other houses around but easy to reach from the main road. A short drive from Clifden which has several supermarkets. Property is modern and well equipped. It felt very spacious for four adults and a baby. Mary the host was very responsive and helpful regarding a few items we needed for the baby.

We had a lovely stay at this property. Watching the sunset with the white horses on we called “their unicorn landing” because they look that magical was a dream. The house was so very clean and kitchen well stocked. We saw a hare too. We fed the horses apples and carrots. I couldn’t get over the view. The pictures don’t do it justice. Thanks!

We booked this house due to the 5 stars granted by every guests. And it deserves it ! The view is amazing. Remotely placed, but 10 min drive from beautiful beaches or trails.
The house is spacious, clean and well equiped. There is a nice view to the lake downside, and some walking trails starts directly from the House. Highly recommended !!

We enjoyed our stay in Mary‘s house! It was very clean, there were more than enough towels to use, the kitchen well equipped. We had a lot of pleasure with spoiling the ponies with carrots, watching the deer family in the mornings and at night. A fox and rabbits were regular visitors as well (whoever likes a place where fox and rabbit say good night to each other- as we really do for our holidays!!) should come here. From here we were able to get to know a big part of connemara. We felt welcomed and could feel us at home! Thank you, Mary!

We were so happy with this rental property. We were there for Storm Franklin. The weather was terrible but we were so snug in the cottage in front of the fire! The cottage is really spacious. The location is great both out in the middle of nowhere and really close to Clifden. We saw an Irish hare in the garden a few times too. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to go back (but in the summer next time 🤣)

We had a wonderful time, weather was beautiful, House just great. It was clean and bright with lovely view over the lough. Daily visit from hare and her leveret. Regular sighting of deer.
House has 2 really lovely bright spacious bedrooms both en-suite. Well equipped kitchen and pleasant living room. We spent most of our time outdoors on the lawn. Could not fault the house, would definitely return. We are keen cyclists so the long hilly lane in was a wee bit of a challenge but we soon got used to it. Area is wonderful, about 4 km from clifden.
Overall we had a fantastic stay. Sad to leave.

Beautiful tranquil location
Beautiful tranquil location
Just a lovely quiet relaxing place to stay yet only three kilometres from clifden . There is a gorgeous mountain track to walk on into Connemara national park behind the house although the drive down into the house itself is quite steep. House was spotless and very bright. Lovely owners who were there to help with anything. Very very peaceful. Great internet.

Bright and comfortable cottage with lovely view to the lake
A very comfortable cottage with lovely views to the lake. Bright kitchen and relaxing spaces to sit and read or just watch the deer and animals wandering by the lake. If the weather is good there is great outside private spaces to enjoy. Very quiet and relaxing. Close to Clifden and the many lovely beaches of the area. Mary is a really helpful host and sorted out wifi issues and gave us great walking tips. A lovely cottage in a great area.
