Beautiful Property. Close enough to food and entertainment but so lovely is easy to relax the day away and go nowhere!Stunning!

An amazing position to look out on the sea, great sunsets, wonder nearby beaches. Kitchen needs a bit of updating and more cutlery etc needed if six people stay.

This property is stunning!, right on the edge of Renvyle, with access to gorgeous beaches and walks in the area. The house itself has 3 great sized bedrooms with 3 en-suite bathrooms. The water is stained brown, but was fine for showering and washing up. The water temperature is temperamental, we started with warm showers but then went quickly to cold after about 5 mins, so rapid showers needed if you are in a big group. The oven is also slightly temperamental and took some getting used to, but the kitchen had everything in it you would need for your stay.
The only other comment i would make is that the front door lock could really do with being replaced, it felt like we were breaking the door when we needed to lock it.
You definitely need a car to get to local villages and towns for shopping, we would recommend a trip into Tully Cross (10 mins), Letterfrack (10 mins) Kylamore (15 mins) Clifden (35 mins). We also went sea fishing from Cleggan which was c.30 minutes away from the house.
All round, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the views from the lounge window were breathtaking, we would absolutely return but would hope for some of the elements mentioned above to be improved (Water temperature, oven and front door)

We booked having read amazing reviews, and then, just before our stay, saw a really negative review. So...a little balance...
People booking this property are hoping for peace and quiet and beautiful scenery. The location is absolutely stunning, unrivalled views and although secluded, the drive to Letterfrack is not too much for pub, shop etc.
For the price, this is an exceptional property. It is clean, comfortable and well-furnished and equipped. Beds are comfortable and despite the previous review, there was as much hot water as we needed...from either boiler or immersion. More could be made of the outside...a patio etc, but we were unusually lucky with weather and upgrades would make the rental more expensive.
It would be helpful and easy to provide some sort of manual with information about the house and area...instructions, nearest shops, services etc. Also, the bedroom velux windows and circular window really do need blinds as the Summer sunrise is very early. The same bedroom has no handle on door or ensuite door...which would be easy to remedy.
As to the brown water...this didn't bother us in the least. We have stayed previously in properties where the water is from a spring and picks up colour as in comes through the peat. It is perfectly drinkable, though some may prefer to buy bottled water for drinking and just use the tap water for hot drinks washing and cooking etc. However, this will be surprising for many renters, so either mention it ahead, or perhaps in a new house manual.
We got everything we hoped for, had a lovely week, and would be happy to recommend

We truly enjoyed the stay. It was very relaxing and the windows make the perfect view. We were a bit concerned with the water that is a bit brownish color but the property owner stated that it was safe to use. Besides that we had a great time. The house had plenty of space and felt homey. Hopefully we can come back again soon

The location of the property is remote and beautiful. The property itself is well-loved. This is a comfortable, but not upscale property. We had no hot water, which caused us to shorten our stay. The host was cooperative, but it was an unpleasant experience. Also, there was no information about brownish water coming out of all water sources. We were told it was safe, but this should have been known at the time of booking. We are still working on getting the VRBO fees back, since we had to book completely new lodging for 6 of 7 nights--it was too late to depart night of arrival upon discovery of lack of hot water. Host offered an alternative place to shower and to fix hot water, but going somewhere else to shower wasn't reasonable for us. Host charged much more than 1/7th of our rate for the one night, which felt inappropriate because we arrived to no hot water. The entire experience was not conducive to a relaxing vacation. And, it's really difficult to reach a human at VRBO. I am STILL waiting to hear back from them from multiple follow-ups for a refund of their fee.

House with stunning views
House with stunning views
This well equipped and spacious modern house was set in a quiet, peaceful rural area with spectacular sea views in every direction. The house was warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated with many antique pieces of furniture. Lots of books were available to read or browse through. Walking around the area was a delight with the wildflowers and quiet lanes to stroll along.
A good base to explore Connemara, car essential.

Comfortable house, Excellent location
Comfortable house, Excellent location
We spent a week here at the end of September 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is in a quiet location with beautiful views to the west, north and north-east. The sitting room takes full advantage of these views, particularly to the west. The area does not have the numbers of houses that other parts of the Connemara coastline can have. The house is big, spacious and comfortable. We were also delighted to find that it is full of all sorts of books, from light reading to classics, from oenology to Galway/Mayo Hill Walks and Tim Robinson's amazing Connemara and Aran Island books. We used just one bedroom, which had a really comfortable super-king size bed. The house is also very well-equipped. The fire in the sitting-room smoked a bit too much for us; otherwise everything was excellent. Communication with owners was good. We look forward to staying there next year!

Wonderful views from a spacious house
Wonderful views from a spacious house
We were lucky to catch a week of brilliant sunshine, a rarity in Connemara. The house is very comfortable and spacious. The views over the Atlantic Ocean and the islands including Inisboffin are breathtaking and the large windows in the sitting room make the most of them. There are lovely views from nearly every window in the house.
The sofas are very comfortable and plentiful - there are 3 in the sitting room and others in the kitchen and main bedroom.
We only used the ground floor main bedroom which is very spacious with a good sized bathroom; the two upstairs double bedrooms each have en suite showers and there is a study/office on the upstairs gallery.
The grounds are unfinished but will make a nice area to sit outside if the weather is ever that good again, in which case some outdoor furniture would make the only addition we would suggest for this excellent holiday home.

Beautiful house in great setting
Beautiful house in great setting
We had an amazing week. The house is really nice, huge rooms, comfy beds, full of light, big kitchen with all the amenities etc.
The house is located at the end of the peninsula; there's only a few houses around. It's very quiet and peaceful yet only a short drive away from Letterfrack. The views from the house are absolutely spectacular. Even when it rained we had great views through the huge bay windows.
Check in/out were very easy. The hosts are very helpful. Overall it was a great experience, and we hope we can come back again soon.
