About this house rental

A comfortable house with lovely views overlooking Mevagissey Harbour and the sea.
Enjoy a coffee on the balcony and enjoy these spectacular views. It's a short walk downhill to Mevagissey village where there is a good range of pubs, eateries and shops. A walk or short drive to Heligan Gardens and at St Austell, the Eden Project. Water sports are available in Pentewan the next village. We love the glorious beaches at Caerhays and Gorran Haven or Carne Beach to name but a few. Winnie's View is spacious, light and airy and multi level in style. On the ground floor the open plan dining area and well equipped kitchen, utility/shower room and loo are found. Stairs lead down to the lounge and up to the master bedroom, a few more stairs from there lead up to the main bathroom, bedrooms 2 and 3. A pretty enclosed south facing garden and patio. The house has comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and plenty of storage for all your kit, There is an open fire for cosy evenings in the cooler seasons. Oil fired central heating. Free wifi, the TV has chromecast to allow you to stream your favourite movies from your smart phone. Linen and towels are included. Visitors are welcome to bring a dog, please ask if you have more than one. Please note that flat parking is available for 2 standard cars and steps lead down to the front door. As of February we have completed the replacement of all our mattresses, so, with light blocking curtains you'll be sure of comfortable nights.

A comfortable house with lovely views overlooking Mevagissey Harbour and the sea.

A last minute holiday by the sea. The property was in the most perfect location. The photos don’t do it justice! With the coastal path just a couple of minutes away it was easy to walk down to the harbour or to the nearest beach - Polstreath - in a matter of minutes. We still need steps and toilet inserts for our youngest so took them but found out we didn’t need them. The house is well equipped and the views are amazing!

Winnie's View is a comfortable, attractive, well-equipped flat with beautiful views over Mevagissey and the water. We enjoyed the variety of spaces on different levels in which to relax. The flat provides everything you need in terms of appliances, kitchen items, comfortable beds, seating, parking, instructions, etc. The coastal path is seconds away and provides a convenient way to walk into town. Good communication with owners. We would happily return and very highly recommend Winnie's View.

Our experience was top notch, from the beautiful property with its wonderful views of the sea on every floor, the balcony and the enclosed garden, to the location, just one minute from the Coastal Path and five minutes down into the working port of Mevagissey. The only thing we would suggest is that the photos of the property showed it off to its best advantage, with the amazing indoor windows that extend the views. That way more people could enjoy this amazing place!

Had a wonderful stay at Winnie’s view. Great location for accessing the harbour area and wonderful views. Good comfy facilities in the house, and the extra fridge in the garage was needed ! nice wee garden for dogs As noted on the listing the house and the location is not suitable for everyone due to the steepness but we loved the climb up and down to the harbour. Parking is limited but fine for one car. We will definitely use this place again, thanks

This is a great place for a family holiday stay. It felt surprisingly spacious, with lots of areas to spread out in to. The views were stunning. We were lucky enough to see dolphins one morning in tbe bay from the bedroom window. The kitchen was well equipped.

Winnie's View is a lovely cottage with stunning sea views. It is arranged over different levels and everything you could need is provided. We had a brilliant holiday, despite the weather not being too good, and enjoyed the walks into Mevagissey, which is so sheltered that the weather was noticeably warmer, once we got to the harbour. The walk back is steep, but there are plenty of benches and viewpoints along the way. Our little dog enjoyed the nearby field and walks too.

We first visited Winnie's View back in 2020 and were very impressed with the house then. We had booked to revisit in 2021 but due to a family emergency that had to be cancelled. We came back in May 2023 and were even more impressed with house. A new very stylish bathroom has been added. The house has good sized bedrooms, is spotlessly clean and well situated overlooking Mevagissey Harbour with close access to the coastal path and walks down to the harbour. Mevagissey is a favourite place to visit for us and Winnie's View makes it even better. We have no hesitation in recommending Winnie's View. Our dog enjoyed the house and garden as well as the local green just outside for an early morning run. We hope to be back soon. Thanks for another memorable stay.

We loved it so much we will be booking again for next year. Such great views and only a 5 minute stroll to the harbour and restaurants and pubs. Great base to explore the area with so many beauty spots within a short drive. We found two wonderful beaches a short distance away where our dog could play off the lead in the middle of summer. We loved our stay in Winneys View, great views from the home across the bay. Handy welcome pack on arrival. Very handy location for walking into Megavissey, save some energy for the walk back up the steps though and use the benches for rest stop and take in the views. Great week away x

We rally enjoyed our stay at this property. Communication with the owners was always very clear and the property has everything you could need for an easy and relaxing stay. The view from the house is much better than any photograph can show. We even saw a sturgeon moon rising from the horizon in the east and wonderful sunsets over Mevagissey. The whole place was very clean upon arrival and we used all of the equipment with no problem. Wifi signal was very good and the area was very quiet during night and day. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Mevagissey again.

Play park and large grassy area good for dog run a few yards walk from the house with footpath down to the harbour one way and to a beach the other. House well and thoughtfully equipped. Lots of good places to eat in Mevagissey. Choice of boat trips from the harbour where there was a choir, Morris dancers etc in the evening. St Mawes, Fowey, Eden project all nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay at Winnies View. We have visited Mevagissey several times before but have never had such a lovely view. It is rare to get a house with outdoor space and off road parking so close to the centre of the village.

Lovely property, fabulous views. Everything we needed. 5 minutes walk down the coast path (with steps) to the centre of Mevagissey; far more challenging walk back up, but I made it every day! We really enjoyed our stay and struck lucky with the weather, managing to sit out on the balcony most days.

This is our 4th stay at this lovely property, and it is the first time we brought family members with us. Thanks to Elsa, the property owner, there was a new shower and deck added which accommodated the extra people. Just off the coastal path and a short 10-minute walk to the village centre and harbour, the location of the property is ideal! We enjoyed a week of Cornwall expedition from this amazing home base, and we will look forward to being here again soon!

This is our second stay at Winnie's View and it is even better now with the new balcony/decked area (& we were very lucky with the weather). Winnie's View is a real home from home - spotlessly clean, cosy and well equipped, with a fabulous view of the sea and the harbour. It's also a great base to explore the area and we visited Charlestown, Gorran Haven, the Eden Project, Trelissick NT gardens amongst others, and went on some wonderful walks. We hope to come back again soon.

It was easy to find. Checkin was easy and owners had left milk and a cream tea for us all. Cottage was well equiped and had picturess views from most of the windows. The balcony was also a little sun trap. Its a steep walk down to the harbour and then coming back up. Check out the restaurants and book as most were filled. But a beautiful location. Would recommend if your mobile great place for hiking to different places.

Just returned home from a week here. Accommodation was beautiful with stunning views. We couldn’t have wished for anything nicer. Location was lovely too with just a 10 minute walk to the harbour. ( lots of hills and steps so probably not suitable for those with mobility issues) The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. 2 fridges, washer and tumble drier. We would love to stay here again and would highly to anyone. Thank you
