Triple Deck Cottage 2 mins from Mevgaissey Harbour

Location and warm

Mattress. leaking tap. Early check out. Price

The location was excellent , very clean and well stocked with everything we needed including wood for the log burner.

The top bedroom double bed mattress had a huge hollow on the left side and a smaller one in the right. The whole mattress needs replacing. The outside space was poor and the BBQ needed cleaning. There was water in the light bulbs.

Clear comprehensive instruction provided in advance. Everything was clean, tidy and welcoming when we arrived. The parking is at a remove but well organised, easy to access, safe and secure and the guys there were really friendly. The house itself is well equipped, with everything you need for a few days...and the hosts kindly added one or two things we asked for in advance. Good oven and washing machine. Location is fabulous for walking about. Mevagissey itself is an absolute gem of a place.

WiFi is a bit slow and erratic but I expect that may be a regional challenge! Was disconcerted by the lack of recycling (particularly that there is no food waste separation - that just feels wrong!) One of the beds (Double on top floor) has a bit of a dip in it, but not a major concern. Sofa is VERY low and doorstep is VERY high, so probably not suitable for older folk but we were perfectly fine. Had a few issues with noise with guests leaving neighbours, and then a group of really vulgar and unruly kids in the street around 10pm on a couple of nights but again - I expect this is a local challenge and wasn't massively disruptive.

Location was perfect

The beds in the twin room were falling apart from the joints and the mattress were awful with springs coming through. My grandson forgot his slippers and his feet were black from the carpets, they definitely need to replace the mattresses and have someone round to clean the carpets
