Very basic room, comfy enough but a bit pricey.

The location was perfect for our overnight stay. We were attending a birthday party in a local venue. Bed was comfy and the room was very warm.

Felt it was a bit overpriced for the small room we had. Breakfast wasn’t included. Toilet flush was a bit dodgy.

Great value for money. Basic room but perfectly adequate. The food was excellent and again great value for money but, my main comment here has to be about the staff, so helpful, friendly and welcoming, I felt like I was a regular local rather than someone on my first visit. Highly recommended.

The location was ideal for our outing.

A warm welcome in Falkirk

Convenient location close to station, bus routes and town centre. Warm welcome from enthusiastic young staff. Spacious attic room in annex, cold when I arrived but very warm when heating came on. Easy temperature control in shower Good light dinner in bistro.

Three flights of stairs up to room. Restricted headroom above some wall sockets.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful Management have not been able to rectify issues and avoid messages

Soiled sheets - had to be changed at 1:30am when we were going to hotel No hot water in shower Sink does not drain Dirty bedding, not access to hot water and sinks that do not drain do not constitute BASIC facilities Management wanted to give a voucher for their restaurant but we explained we do not live in Falkirk (hence the need to stay overnight) Management then ignored follow up emails. Completely inept and shows lack of professionalism

Avoid - Fire Safety Standards Below Expecation - WOULD NOT STAY AGAIN!

Overall the Location is good with Proximity to Falkirk Grahamston Railway Station as we were travelling around by Railway.

The Fire Safety Standards at the Hotel are significantly below standard - Although it was flats actually around the corner from the Hotel which resembled a former HMO. This has been reported to fire safety standards in the area, Kitchen has no Fire fighting tools, Room had a broken shower head and No fire Detection systems installed either, Very Poor - Wouldn't Stay here again!

Low rate, but you get what you pay for. Appreciated that dogs are allowed. Staff very friendly & nice. Glad to have mini-fridge in room as I bring my own food to save money on meals.

Difficult to find car park in back, difficult to find alternative parking if full. Bedroom was odd trapezoid shape, bedframe too big for room size & shape, kept banging my knee on corner. Latch on window was broken, couldn't close all the way.

Easy parking at rear, friendly staff very helpful carrying my suitcase upstairs to the room. Table & chairs in room, good drinks selection. Comfy bed. Easy check out using drop box for key. Lovely food in bar downstairs where we met family for dinner. Friendly staff & service good.

A good Scottish pub with great staff.

Suited our needs well and close to what we came for. Room was large and beds good. Getting the temperature right was a little challenge. Surprisingly on the quiet side considering it is located on the major road.

Disappointing stay near Edinburgh

staff were very nice, it's right near the falkirk grahamston station. there were nice touches like water and tea in the room.

Let me begin by saying that my standards are not very high (I usually book things like Premier Inn and Ibis/Ibis budget, and am perfectly satisfied with these). However, this was the most disappointing hotel I've stayed at in recent memory. For the price we paid (over £150 for one night), it was truly inadequate (however, high prices in the Edinburgh area may have impacted their pricing). For under £50 a night or so, some might find the compromise to be worth it. It is worth knowing that this hotel is over a pub and they were blasting music into the tiny hours (at least until midnight) during our stay. This was audible from the room, to the point that songs were easily identifiable, and audible through ear plugs. Despite being promised a private bathroom, the bathroom was not connected to the room, and we had to go through a public hallway to access it. There was nothing securing the bathroom, and others could have theoretically used it, but this wasn't a problem. Getting dressed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night is definitely unacceptable when "private bathroom" is advertised. The room had 3 single beds, all of which had foot boards, meaning feet couldn't comfortably hang off the end. The room itself was definitely dated (scratched walls), and the mattresses were not too comfy. It was tolerably clean, but not excessively so.

Very tired, not even a chair to sit on in the room.

The staff were very friendly, good staff all around from bar staff to waiting staff. The food was really good the pub atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming.

The room was not what was advertised, it was cleanish but sparse, not even a chair to sit in just a double bed in the middle of the room with a TV. The en-suite was clean, however the sink didn’t drain the toilet or shower leaked onto the floor. The bed was not comfortable, we were booked and paid for 2 nights but left after one, couldn’t bear staying in the room any longer.

Great location

Excellent position in Falkirk. Only 10min from The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel. With both being a must see location. Stirling Castle is only a 30min drive away and shouldn’t be missed. The bistro food was very good and the pub was quite lively. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Car parking is available. If in the area I would use it again.

Bathroom hand basin draining was very slow. An unsightly liquid stain on the wall in the bedroom. Don’t be put off by the outside appearance.

Bedroom needs a bit of TLC, little things like tiles on bathroom floor badly cracked, with the warm weather there was no fan in the room and although there was a mini fridge great for cold drinks it throws out warm air so I had to turn it off even with the window fully open.

Too bad to stay

lady that booked us in was pleasant

We didn't stay the outside and entrance to the hotel was cluttered and dirty. The corridors and stairs to rooms were dark, dingy and in some places cluttered the rooms were unbelievable sparse furniture old, cheap and dirty. This hotel/pub is obviously catering for working guys however no-one should be expected to pay to stay in those conditions. We obviously couldn't ask for our money back because it was only when we arrived that we realised how bad it was but I would suggest you remove this property from your database
