Good location

Location is convenient, there is no private parking of the hotel but there is free parking place just 50 m to hotel. Easy access to center of Kalambaka by walk, number of restaurants around. Lady at the reception is nice and helpful.

Only downside, central heating system was not working and we couldn’t manage to function heating function of A/C in our room. Lady at the reception came to our room and tried to fix it but couldn’t succeed it. She offered us to bring electric heater but we didn’t want due to safety concerns. I think from mid October they should make central heating system to be worked

We really enjoyed our time in Kalambaka and our stay st the hotel Alexiou

Ann was excellent. She assisted us through messages about what stop to get off, because we came by bus. She was extremely helpful with things to do and where to eat. Thank you Ann your help was greatly appreciated Our room was on the top floor and had an amazing view of the monasteries and mountains. The breakfast had good variety.

We had a tub with a shower wand which took some getting used too. I personally would prefer the wand attached to the wall and maybe a partial wall so the water did not splash onto the floor .

Location was excellent. Staff were fabulous, Theodora a star. Bed was comfortable with good running water and functional AC. Plus balcony facing the breathtaking Meteora. Loved the old concertina lift doors. A 3 star hotel that provided my basic requirements.

It was value for money and worked for my short stay. A small comment the daily clean can be better.

This hotel is better in real life than the pictures. It is next to many restaurants and shops and basically very close to the centre(or 10 min walk to “city centre”). View was nice (we had a room with Meteora view and 3 with mountain view; If you want a quieter room, better take the Mountain view one). We did not have breakfast. Overall we would return here if we were to come back to Meteora. The reception lady was also super nice and gave us a map of the city and explained everything we needed to know about the monasteries, restaurants and pretty much everything we needed to visit. Very kind lady. This hotel was a nice surprise for us.

. We were greeted at the reception by the kind and helpful Anna. We received a lot of information about the Meteora lookout and the city. The hotel is clean, the room a bit small but ok for one night and well equipped, great view from the balcony to meteora rocks! breakfast was very good, with a large and delicious selection. Than you.

Lovely hotel in perfect location

The hotel was in a fantastic location to visit the monasteries as well as the shops and eateries in town. There was a convenient parking area across from the hotel. Reception and cleaning staff were super friendly and helpful. Room with was perfect for two people sharing.

Whenever someone showered, the entire bathroom floor was wet. Towels had a musty smell.

The Kalampaka is very charming place, the hotel was in the center, everything was perfect.

Fair enough for that price and location, but it would cost no that much to fix that issues even within current price.

Very poor Wi-Fi, so even their TV that used to be smart were useless. Also even in the reception hall where it signal should be not that bad, but you still can’t connect. The bathroom was smelly from the sewerage. The bath is designed in a such way that it will be always water on the floor after shower.

I liked everything. The breakfast was so so rich, it had everything for everyone, from sausage, bacon, omelets, boiled eggs, yogurt plus the cereals, cheese, ham, honey, and much much more. Plus I had to go to church on Sunday, and I was getting the suggestions from the lovely lady there. When I came back, she asked me if I missed the breakfast and she prepared for me a take out breakfast. That was so nice of her. The rooms are new, the bathroom is big, and everything was great. The area also is not noisely. Thank you

Perfect place if you want to tour Meteora!

Everyone at Alexiou Hotel was very polite and professional. Good size room and nicely decorated. Exactly as it was in the pictures. The person behind the desk when we first arrived was great! She had all the information about places to visit ready before we even asked! Views from our balcony were amazing! Breakfast was great! We couldn't have asked for anything more! We highly recommend this place!!

FRIENDLY INTERACTION WITH A BUS-LOAD OF TOURISTS FROM POLAND IN SPITE OF THE LANGUAGE BARRIER

BREAKFAST WAS GENEROUS AND OF DIFFERENT VARIETY I ENJOYED THE VIEW OF THE METEORA MONASTERIES FROM MY ROOM AS I REQUESTED.

THE ELEVATOR WAS SMALL AND A BIT "ANCIENT" - TYPICAL I GUESS WITH HUGE SOLID BUILDINGS BUILT DECADES AGO. THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS ERRATIC AND GAVE ME A COLD AND COUGH FOR A WEEK FORCING ME TO INFORM CO-TOURISTS THAT I DID NOT HAVE THE COVID.
