Easy and convenient.

Although quiet, winter often is, the location was central to the tourist attractions. A spacious room, with a separate bathroom that always had hot water. Friendly and trouble free. There are enough restaurants within walking distance to enjoy the local dishes - which are delicious.

An absolute gem!

We highly enjoyed the stay. A very quaint room with good views and a nice balcony, close to Kalambaka centre. Also close to a walking trail up to the monstaries. The Taverna attached was also excellent. Large comfortable bed. However the absolute highlight was the kindness of the staff and owner, who made us feel absolutely at home, and let us leave our bags to retrieve later after check out (an absolute must of you are doing any tours, as they don't tend to leave Meteora until the evening).

A family member found the shower small, I thought the size was fine.

One of my best days and stays in Greece.

All the staff down at Los Platanos, below the rooms, were super helpful, accommodating and just wonderful people.

I, and another arriving couple, didn't find the right door right away. Our map app told us we were in the right place, but one of the signs was small and partly obscured, and with no front desk, perhaps they can tell you to just go into Los Platanos, the resturarant nright next door.

Loved the location, the room design, the views and the staff! They were very accommodating and understanding of our last minute changes.

The room was a bit hot and the wifi wasn't working always. Our room wasn't quite ready when we got there, but that was immediately fixed.

Great location to everything Meteora has to offer.

Great location and very comfortable. The giant rocks tower on one side and restaurants and shops are within a few blocks. Nice balcony and various pillow thicknesses (my husband’s favorite). The restaurant/bar below the rooms is where you check-in, and never seemed to be too noisy. Lots of available parking and very convenient with an easy 10 minute drive to the monasteries.

Handheld shower doesn’t fit in standing nozzle. Check-in was a bit confusing and entrance was narrow and dark.

Theta needs to be some sort of penalty for those that smoke in rooms and there needs to be a sanitation process to clean

It is easy to find and the people are welcoming.

My room stank of cigarette smoke. As I am asthmatic, I found this problematic but thought I would be able to open the double door onto the balcony. However, one door is fixed and the other cannot open properly unless the sideboard is pulled out of the way….which I did. Coming back at the end of a day and opening the door each time to the strong smell of cigarettes really spoilt my stay.

Very nice indeed.

The location within Kalabaka was great. More old town than the more lively centre which suited us. Owners really friendly and informative. The taverna downstairs was well priced and good food. Good value for money. Nice and clean. The decor is a little quirky but in keeping. We really enjoyed our stay here and would like to go back.

Nothing major not to like. The cold shower tap was stiff! All rooms are upstairs so it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

A little gem in Kalabaka

This place is a gem in all ways. The owner Tania is so warm, helpful and generous and her food downstairs in the adjoining restaurant is delicious. Meteora is an extraordinary hiking region and your are right in it the moment you step outside the door of Mythos Guesthouse. I really hope to return here for my hiking and will definitely stay here again.

A Comfortable & Hospitable Stay in the Center of Meteora

Mythos Guesthouse is centrally located, lots of great restaurants around the corner. It is also very quiet at night, and the room was very comfortable. The balcony had great views of the cliffs. The staff was very kind and helpful and went out of their way to make sure you had an enjoyable visit. I highly recommend this guesthouse.

Comfortable room with balcony & view of the Meterora. Restaurant downstairs doesn't do breakfasts, but very reasonably priced for dinner. Tania was helpful & friendly.

No elevator, so if you're on the second floor as we were, be prepared for the stairs...

Beautiful mountain vintage guesthouse

The rooms are clean, spaceous, the vintage furniture is beautifully integrated within the weather and location. Enough parking space, very welcoming staff. Great view to Meteora.

Just in our room we could feel a strong smell of food from the restaurant later in the evening (which was not bad at all, but too tempting when you want to sleep). However, we closed the window and opened it later in the night.

A Very Good Budget Choice to Explore the Meteora.

Operated by very friendly and helpful hosts who have clearly given their accommodation some thought, these are well located, spotlessly clean, small but very functional rooms which are colourfully refurbished in a cosy traditional style. The balcony rooms have a view of the Meteora. Restaurants and other facilities are close by, there is easy access to the start of the main hiking trails and the railway station is a fairly easy 10 minute walk. Definitely a very good budget choice for a visit to this truly spectacular area.

Sadly, the Guesthouse's own lovely-looking taverna on the ground floor was closed at the time of my visit.

Very impressive town and a wonderful stay!

The accommodation was in the city center and it had a spacious car park in front which was convienent for us. Our host was super helpful with directions, local restaurants and entry hours to the monasteries. Overall a great place to spend the night.

Our host Dita was amazing! She made our stay really memorable.

The location was near all the amenities and you can use it as a base to hike. The room we booked had a great view of the Meteora. The bus station was also within walking distance.

The AC was quite loud and as it was an old building, it did not have a lift which may cause some inconveniences to those with heavy luggage.

Don't waste your money staying here! It's a run down property with the electric outlets falling out of the walls

Directly under one of the mountains, centrally located

Felt extremely rushed when we checked in, absolutely no front desk staff on property the entire time we were there, we had questions but there was no one there to answer them, every electric outlet in the room was falling out the wall. VERY unsafe! It smells bad. We will NEVER stay here again.

Welcoming hosts, beautiful interior, romantic atmosphere and wonderful views!

The house is at a great location in the center of Kalabaka, there is a big parking just in front of it, it is very practical. What we liked the most, though, was how tastefully the house and our room was designed and decorated. It is small, yet very comfy, welcoming and romantic.

I wouldn’t say there is anything we didn’t like about the place. It could probably be an issue for some people that the bathroom is really small, but for us it was perfectly fine.

A comfortable base for visiting the Meteora and Kalabaka town.

Communications before our arrival were extremely good and we were met by Spiros who was very informative and friendly. The location was perfect, right in the center of the town, and we were able to park right outside the guesthouse. We were allocated a large room with a small balcony with a view of the Meteora. There was a fridge in the room and a set up for coffee making.

Amazing

Place was super clean, nice bed, plenty of hot water during the day, wifi worked excellent, in the room we had A/C, heating, fridge, kettle, coofee and tea, a balcony with an amazing view, a closet, a table with couple of chairs and plenty of space to move around. The Guest house is two minutes walk to the main road where all the restaurants, bars and mini markets are. Plenty of parking at the front of the hotel. We were welcomed by a lovely woman Dita who was very kind an offered us a better room for the same price and gave us a map an explained to us the route to follow to enjoy the area and also we were given a big bottle of water. Early on Friday morning this amazing open air market with fresh vegetables, fruits, honey, flowers, clothes was at the front of the Hotel. We loved this Guest House

The room was beautiful in a quiet place with nice balcony to the meteora rocks. There was plenty of parking spaces and the guesthouse was in a central place near the main street. Defenetly worth the money.

Would have been happier if we got the room we booked.

Easy to find, not too long of a walk from the train station. Food nearby. Ok view, clean place, doona provided and 2 pillows each, polite staff, easy check in and out. Aircon works. Quiet. Daily housekeeping.

Water only ever got lukewarm not hot. We were "upgraded" without being consulted first, as they had given away the room we wanted and had booked well in advance. The room we originally wanted we obviously picked for multiple reasons over the room we actually got, so it sucked paying for and staying in a room we hadn't wanted because they gave our room to someone else and didn't even let us know.

Great place to stay

Really adorable room with balcony, in a super quiet location. It was off season so I can't talk about breakfast or anything but the palace itself was amazing! My room was super clean and so cute Pro tip: on Fridays there is a really cool market that takes place in the little square and streets around this hotel.
