Re visiting Andernach to see old friends.
Breakfast was excellent, hot food and selection of cold meats and cheese, cereal juices , unlimited tea and coffee, pancakes and rolls etc. Dennis was always available for help and advice about the local area and ensured our stay was trouble free.

Great stay in a nice location. Friendly staff who accommodate your needs.
Great hotel in a lovely area. Good value for money, very friendly staff who helped us take a taxi every day to the festival we were attending. Overall we loved our stay! There is no fridge or mini bar in the room but you are able to take ice from a machine behind reception and there is a fridge on the 2nd floor beside the outdoor balcony, which was awesome! They also let us into the hotel a little early when we had been travelling all day which was very much appreciated.
The only slight improvement could be that some of the rooms were too warm even with the window open, but this is to be expected in summer in Europe.

No way of securing the room from inside ie door chain. No cups available in room for tea making although there were 2 glasses for coffee. Expected private access to balcony from room but this turned out to be communal.

Disappointing
The accomodation was outdated. The main problem is that the hotel is next to a run down street with nightclubs. After they close, the party goes on in the medieval City gate and elsewhere near the hotel. The noise comes from both sides.
The hotel looks nice and classic, but you can better avoid Andernach. It is a very depressing little city. I came with a positive attitude, my greatgrandfather was born here, there are lots of historic buildings, but now the town is dying. Koblenz is nice
