Charming old building in a forest next to a small river.

Lovely old building. Rooms renovated recently. Large selection of Belgium beers. Off-street parking for motorcycles.

Very friendly and helpful staff, they accommodate all the requests. Booking a chalet is a very nice option, as you have a terrace and the river flows right in front of it, really peaceful.

They do accept pets, however you cannot take your dog with you in the restaurant or in the breakfast area. They do accommodate you in a dining area next to the bar, but it feels awkward to eat separate from everyone else just because you have a dog. They might need to reconsider their approach. We ended up taking our breakfast and dinner and ate it on the chalet’s terrace.

Breakfast was quite good, better than typical. A good variety and good quality.

The preparation of the steaks and burger ordered for dinner was not at all as requested. We had to wait a very long time for our food, even ask where it was after almost one hour, and finally it came as if it had been on the fire from the moment we entered the restaurant. It was clear we were forgotten. We saw steaks of other guests and we can confirm the cook knows how to deal with rare and medium-rare ... but ours were problematic. The way the situation was handled by the staff was poor.

Good breakfast!!! And the dinner at the hotel restaurant was exquisite!!!

Some elements in the overall decoration could be better: the old carpet floors and doors , it was a mixture of beautiful furnitures and design but helaas combined with the depleted ones

The staff is super friendly, they really go out of their way to help out. I had an issue with my walking shoes when I arrived, they arranged alternative shoes for me for the evening and the owner took me to a hiking store the next day so I could continue my hike the next day. The location is also super nice, next to a running stream.

Amazing

Wow, we booked on line for a place in the Belgium country side as we are making our way south to Florence. We picked a cheaper remote hotel expecting the average. When we arrived we found an upmarket historic property situated just outside a quaint village and set beside the most amazing stream. After settling into our comfortable room we went down to the the beautiful lounge area beside a stone fire place. Outside the sounds of the stream set a magic environment to enjoy a glass of local red wine and cheese. We then went to the restaurant where we enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak and vegetables, with fresh salad and hot crisp chips. Perfect. So good was our stay we decided to book and additional night. If you are a hiker or just enjoy life and love good living here is your place

We had an excellent stay at the hotel and hope to return in the future.

The hotel was situated in an excellent location on the edge of the town, which suited our intention of walking in the surrounding hills. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent with a diversity of dishes in the restaurant.

Although our room was very comfortable and promptly made up during the morning a continuous low-level noise came from the plumbing serving the towel rail in the bathroom. This was rather disturbing throughout the night. The noise seemed to decrease if the heated rail was turned on, but as the weather was hot we did not wish to do this.
