Bliss

This is a dream location, close to where I needed to go during the day (Chapel of Garioch) and warm and cosy in the evenings. It's perfect, feels as though it's in the middle of nowhere but close to Bennachie and 10-15 mins away from Morrisons. The cottage is lovely is every way, with essentials if needed and little extra treats provided. I loved watching the cows in the early morning wandering from the fields further away back to the farm for hay. Elizabeth and Graham are so friendly and happy to chat, so looking forward to my stay next year, a very special cottage in a stunning location.

We could imagine coming to stay for a month sometime.

A wonderful getaway on a working farm. The proprietress and her husband (the farmer) were both lovely to get to know. The cottage had ample room, set amid a lovely, rural area--we had fun taking walks and using it as a jumping off point for some fly fishing as well. Very quiet for anyone wanting to escape urban stresses. Shopping for essentials in Inverurie isn't all that far away either.

Blooming marvellous.

What a lovely cottage, out in the middle of nowhere, just as I like it. Elizabeth and Graeme were such great folks even though we’d got there a day early( oops, I should have checked)they welcomed us with open arms. We got to meet Nero, Nicholas and all their lovely girls, cattle by the way. The beds were super comfy and a good size. The kitchen was completely fine not that we cooked, we were on holiday. I would love to come here again, really close to Bennachie, (you can see it from the kitchen window) which is a fantastic place to walk. Thank you so much.

Lovely views with easy access to Inverurie hosted by two warm and lovely people.

A lovely little farmer's cottage very close to Inverurie. The hosts were warm and lovely, greeted us as well drove in and told us all about the farm. The cottage has two good sized bedrooms, and a good sized kitchen too, with great views of the hills and greenery of the surrounding areas. Despite being a working farm the area was quiet at night which was a lovely bonus.

Great location and lovely host an a real working farm!

The location on a working farm was wonderful. Elizabeth was a great host and she cooked us a fabulous breakfast, along with great conversation. Unfortunately Elizabeth is no longer renting this room in her home due to new excessive regulations and costs, however she will continue to rent a 2 BR cottage on the farm.

The room was small, especially with our bags for 3-1/2 weeks of travel, but we made it work 😊. The amenities, hospitality and location made the tight space worth it.

Very enjoyable stay in a okay small, spotlessly clean well equipped property.

The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The owners were welcoming and helpful. It is perfect as a base for exploring a beautiful area or visiting local family for example. For us it was ideal as it was situated close to a wedding venue which we were using for a family wedding. We will happily use it again.

The property is fine as long as you are happy to be within a working farm (very quiet) and don’t mind close proximity to cows. They are in a neighbouring field and can’t get near you. We quite enjoyed the fact that a different cow gazed at us through the kitchen window whenever we looked out and the view beyond to Bennachie is great.

Neat little farm cottage in a beautiful area.

We wanted a farm location and we got that in spades. The owners were very generous with their time, talking about farming in Scotland and giving advice about nearby attractions. The cottage was very clean and functional and had all the amenities we needed. Very enjoyable and informative.

Great Cottage

We were in the area for a wedding. Venue was only 8 mins from Broadsea so location was excellent. Everything was ready on arrival and brilliant.

Later check out would have been nice but that is just laziness.

A very clean and cosy cottage, perfect for our short stay for a family wedding. comfortable beds and all the essentials covered. The home made cookies were delicious and the house was very well equipped.

Everything was great! as a family with growing teens, the living room was tricky to sit in as we all couldn’t sit on the sofa, however we weren’t in the cottage a lot of the time.

The hosts were fantastic and lovely sat of the earth kind of people, the property had fantastic views and if you like living on a working farm with fresh eggs in the morning & friendly animals (no noise) in a beautiful area with a short drive to Inverurie and Kemnay then it’s for you.

It wasn’t the farmhouse you see in the picture when booking and was a lot smaller that we expected with no place to sit outside on a beautiful day which was what I was hoping for, a table and chair with a private space would have been a good addition. However, the bedrooms were a good size and the house had everything you’d need so we had a lovely time and will be booking again.

Quiet, spacious well equipped property, on a working farm with free onsite parking. Very helpful hosts. Need to realize farm is a few km (less than 10) from nearest town and reached by narrow country roads with passing places. Could be very difficult to locate in darkness. We located property and talked to hosts before stay - so was not a problem. Get accurate GPS coordinates!

Suited our needs perfectly for a short stay to visit family. Warm, clean, comfortable beds, peaceful, great welcome goodies, lots of hot water and lots of electric sockets, only something you notice when you have stayed in 5star places with a huge shortage of sockets!

Comfortable self catering cottage

Location was ideal for our needs and property was clean and of a good standard throughout. Friendly and helpful owner/host. Good wifi and cooking facilities worked well. Bedrooms comfortable and good standard.

Just a couple of very minor things, great stay overall! Living room/dining area slightly compact for a group of four, only two comfy seats. A freezer would be useful for longer stays.
