Staff helped book a tour, had a room cleaned so I could check in early, took my breakfast order the day before and delivered to my room at my preferred time. Hotel style, private, didn't meet other guests. Nice room, quiet, comfy enough, good value. Good shower.
There's not much going on in Ninh Binh town centre, very much a business cbd, not the hotels fault, but all the tourist stuff and restaurants are in Tam Coc. Still found good places to eat tho. Got the vibe that travelling vietnamese businessmen might mostly stay here. The light from the hallways came in through 2 small internal windows at night, was a bit bright.

Cheap and good location.
We didn't get the room we booked but we were tired after travelling all day and only realised in the morning. The bathroom looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The bed had an old mattress, not comfortable. Noisy from early morning as it is right next to the street and there is no soundproofing. The AC wasn't functioning. There was also a fan with a cable that couldn't reach the socket, so useless.
