Most only visit Hoa Lu at night, coming in from Tam Coc, but I wanted more and chose this basic guesthouse with no frills rooms but one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in for Vietnam! The owner spoke good English and was very helpful. I chose this location as a halfway point between the historic center and Ninh Binh railway station. It's in a very local area on a street lined with market stalls and I would definitely stay here again!

Only stayed for one night, friendly staff and room was spacious with everything you needed.
Only bad thing was a massive dead cockroach under a chair in the corner
