Syke Fold Country House sleeps ten guests in five bedrooms (three are en-suite) and is located just two miles from the cobbled centre of Dent village. Affording a beautiful rural setting this delightful holiday home is set in a large garden and offers views over Dentdale with Whernside (the highest of The Three Peaks) providing a majestic backdrop.

Spacious T shaped entrance hall.
Impressive 'country' style kitchen/diner with fantastic features including a multi-fuel stove, central island and range cooker (electric), along with a dishwasher, fridge, large table for dining with chairs in front of the double aspect windows letting the light flood in.
Utility room with fridge/ freezer, microwave and washer/dryer.
Living room with multi-fuel stove for cosy nights in, comfy seating, TV and double doors.

The library and second reception room are split across two levels with a vaulted ceiling, multi-fuel stove, sofa and chairs, cinema screen TV/DVD with Apple software & under floor heating.

Master bedroom which is a light and airy dual aspect room with super-king size bed, small dressing area with wardrobes and en-suite.
Bedroom three with king-size bed and views over the rear garden.

Bathroom with bath and separate shower, Jack and Jill doors with bedroom four.
Outside: A big enclosed garden (garden furniture provided) is the ideal place during the summer months. There is a herb garden, pond, garage providing bike storage and drive where you can park several cars.

Overall very good lovely farmhouse in a stunning location
Just a couple of issues mainly the smell of drains in downstairs bedroom laundry room and coming up from showers
Log burners great apart from lack of kindling and fire lighters so struggling to light them maybe an axe would be a good idea so we could have chopped some wood for kindling
One of the oven’s didn’t function properly
The light in the bathroom to the left of the landing didn’t work either
We did enjoy our stay though but thought you should be aware of a few small snags

The property is in a beautiful property in the middle of a valley near Dent. The library is amazing with an additional snug and all bedrooms very spacious. There are some quirks like the main fridge and freezer being a distance from the kitchen/dining room, as well as Dent Station being mikes from Dent itself! But overall Skye Fold is a brilliant place to base yourself if you want to discover the surrounding area.

Generally great facilities and plenty of space. Room for improvement in some areas:
#The ground floor bedroom should really have safety grab handles in the shower and bathroom for disabled and older guests. My mother was e to use the shower without assistance.
#3 toilet seats were dangerously loose, which was also a hazard for our elderly parents. Someone came round to resolve this.
#Inadequately sized freezer for this size of property. We had a large Tesco delivery at start of the week and some food had to be thrown away because of lack of freezer space.
#Inadequate water pressure for showers and baths, other than one electric shower in downstairs bathroom. Electric showers are really needed in all bathrooms.
