Riad Haj Thami

Our host Ali and his staff were the highlight of our stay. The Riad is well kept & welcoming set over 2 floors + a roof terrace. Our room didn't have an outside window, but it did have a working AC unit so we used this. A great & varied breakfast was served each morning with various fruits, pastries, omelette + coffee, milk & fresh orange juice. Very good value for money & most accommodating staff.

No natural ventilation in the room & bathroom sink was pretty small & some occasional thumping noises we could hear evening time as well. All was well other than this.

The hosts were very friendly and attentive. They made us feel extremely welcome. The breakfast was lovely. We felt very safe there and it made our trip very special. This was honestly the best stay I've had at any hotel/BnB/riad because the staff were so kind and accommodating. Thank you so much!

We had a very pleasant stay at Riad Haj Thalia. Ali was an incredible host—super welcoming and communicative from the moment we arrived. He helped us coordinate taxis for our departure and even organized takeaway breakfasts for our early day trips. Most importantly, when we were feeling a bit under the weather for a couple of days, he looked after us with extra care, which we truly appreciated. The building itself is vibrant and colorful with clean, tidy rooms. Starting the day with breakfast on the terrace was a highlight! Also, it is located a bit further away from the chaos of the Medina center, which makes for a quieter stay. It’s important to note that the structure is more of a hotel style rather than a traditional courtyard Riad, but it’s a very nice experience regardless. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and felt very well looked after. Thank you, Ali!

There are just two small things to keep in mind: the secondary roads leading to the property can put you off a little at the start, though they feel perfectly safe once you get to know the way. Also, while it’s kind to care for the local stray cats, having them sleep directly in front of the main entrance didn’t feel the most hygienic or welcoming for guests.

The host is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean and the atmosphere is very nice. The roof terrace is nice. There are two cats who are very friendly and don't get in the way. It's a little down an alley but easy to find. Be aware of crooks trying to pose as someone from the hotel who wants to show you the way to the hotel. They want money from you when you get to the hotel, and they have noting to do with the hotel.
