Thank you to Cecile for her lovely house and all her prompt replies to queries.We did a lot of cooking annd the kitch was very well ewuipped and a great space for cooking and eating. The children aged 7 to 13 loved the large bedroom with 4 bunk beds and various toys. We all loved the pool and the garden space for outdoor games.. Also great living space and comfortable bedrooms and beds.Minor points -- WiFi sometimes slow so a bit awkward as 2 of the men had to do work meetings while there.- It would be good to replace some of the outside games such as badminton racquets and table tennis bats which were broken - but we had brought some indoor and outdoor games ourselves.- Langeais beautiful - busy on Sunday but very quiet the rest of the week. Hard to find a local restaurant to suit a family. I would not recommend Le Garden which gets good reviews on line. We had an excellent trip to Tours and Gadawi Park Sud which the children and adults loved. - Guests are responsible for taking all waste to communal bins a few minutes walk down the road. It would be a lot easier if there were bins on site. Overall we loved the house, garden, outside eating space and pool and would thoroughly recommend the house.

We had a great stay. Pool was fantastic (and in good use). Very spacy accomodations; we were two families with 4 adults and 4 kids, but the house could have easily accomodated almost double. Very good, helpful and effective communication with the host Cécile. Locationwise nicely positioned to explore the Loire valley castles and vineyards.

House was great for us since it has a lot of space, with a big kitchen and very well equipped. Pool water was green, which did not seem very normal so owner requested us to add some chemical products to correct that issue. Actually it was not resolved during our stay. Grass was not very green, quite yellow I would say. Gardener came one day without letting us now and left the external gate open which was not great since we were with kids. To add also that external gate does not closes properly which can be a danger. Bedrooms were nice, but beds quite uncomfortable. To close this review, I would like to say that communication with the owner was not great, and at some point not polite from her side.

A happy family get together in August. Plenty of room for ten. Nice pool (well worth paying the heating charge) and garden, with table tennis and garden toys. Great table, chairs and parasols but could do with more loungers. Great location for castles, paddle boarding, canoeing etc.

We were 3 families (12 people) on holiday together in the house. It is situated on a large beautiful private plot. Nice swimming pool right next to the house and nice terrace area. The house has a fantastic large kitchen, nice rooms with good beds and nice bathrooms. The town of Langeais is very nice and cozy, and the Sunday market can be recommended.

Had a lovely two weeks as a multi-generational family ages 1- 75. The villa was well equipped but could have had a few sharp knives. The bedrooms were a good size, with comfortable beds. The dorm room was a great hit with the kids and they loved sharing this space. The outdoor space is a definite positive of this villa, being a family of 13 it was nice to sit outside and the tables were large enough to accommodate us all. The garden and pool area are enclosed by trees and only get the sun to 5pm (early Aug). This suited the younger and older generation but the teens wanted a little more sun. There are plenty of toys in the shed that the younger children enjoyed. We loved the pool and as we had a baby in our party the fence was a great comfort to the parents. The villa is situated in the beautiful town of Langaeis, which is an energetic 15 mins walk or 3 min drive. We had several lovely meals in the village. Mainly Odelice and Pont Levis. There are several bakeries where we got our bread and croissants from and if one of the three we closed another would be open. There are also lots of other towns to visit, Chinon, Villandrey and Tours were where went for the day. We also had a day trip to the Lakes. Very easy to find and free to enter, paid activities and cafe available where you can do paddle boarding, peddle’o and giant inflatable obstacle course. My personal recommendations would be to pay the extra for the pool to be heated. We were lucky as the weather was 33plus each day but it was still cold. The older children did not mind but the younger children did find it to cold. One of the bedroom is a through room, it was not an issue for us as the grandparent were happy to help out the parents of the one year old. We had a great two weeks.

This is a stunning property with lovely pool and grounds. The house is large and was very comfortable for our extended family of 12. Very close to the village of Langeais which is a 20 minute walk away. Langeais has an amazing castle and lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. We highly recommend the Conciergerie and Au Coin Des Halles. The village is well situated for exploring the Loire Valley. Separate towels for swimming and bathing would be appreciated especially for guests who are travelling from abroad.

My wife and I wanted to share a holiday with all our children and grandchildren together, something we had not experienced before. We were twelve in number, with ages ranging from two to early seventies, so it was not an easy task to find a holiday home large enough to accommodate us all. In addition, it had to be well equipped, to have facilities and features which would suit the whole family, and to be within easy reach of shops, services and places to visit for days out. La Tuffiere on the outskirts of Langeais in the Loire Valley fitted the bill in all these respects. It is a large stone-built house set in very attractive grounds. A key feature was the swimming pool, which was a good size and was securely fenced to prevent toddlers (and doddery grandparents!) falling in accidentally. A special word of praise here for the gentleman who arrived without fail each morning to maintain the pool and surrounding area in excellent condition. There was a wide range of play and sports equipment in the adjacent outbuilding to appeal to everybody, and equipment such as TV and DVD player within the house itself. For the most part, we catered for ourselves using the extensive range of cooking utensils provided, and also the barbecue on several occasions. For the last evening, we ate at the local creperie, which was also a good way to celebrate one of our granddaughter's birthday. Langeais itself is a very attractive small town on the Loire, west of Tours. One of the main events is the weekly Sunday market, and the local chateau is well worth a visit. The local supermarket carries a wide range of goods, but a cautionary note to holidaymakers from Britain, used to the extended shopping hours of the major supermarket chains. The opening hours for the Langeais supermarket are 9.00am to 7.30pm, with a closing time of 12noon on Sunday. Most of the local shops in the centre of Langeais close for a couple of hours in the early afternoon. For trips out, we visited several of the chateaux for which the area is well-known, such as Villandry, Azay-le-Rideau, Chenonceau, and one or two smaller ones such as L'Islette. All in all, it was a most enjoyable fortnight, and I thoroughly recommend this holiday home.

A beautiful house, full of character which we all loved. We were a group of 6 adults and one 3 year old. Plenty of bedrooms, all of which were a very good size, and the bathrooms were well equipped. Everywhere was cleaned to a very high standard. The gentleman who came to clean the pool and outside area early each morning was very polite and chatty. The kitchen was very well equipped with absolutely everything you might need. The living room was basic but we spent barely any time in there as the weather was lovely so we sat out on the terrace every evening. The pool was gorgeous. Nice and deep which we prefer. We took lots of inflatables but there were also lots in the barn. Lots of games and even a little play house which our little boy liked. The local town is beautiful. Walkable in about 20 minutes. The chateau is stunning and we popped in to town every morning for croissants. There is a big supermarket there too. A couple of adult bikes would have been really useful to be able to use. We don't usually return to the same place but this was idyllic so we'd definitely consider it again. Book it, you will love it too!

We had a fantastic holiday. The house itself is extremely well equipped and beautifully furnished. There were 10 of us in total (2 families), we found there was plenty of room. The outdoor space is stunning, we used to spend our time near the pool for most of the day and then go to the enormous front garden to catch the last of the sun. Langeais is a very pretty town, a pleasant 15 minute stroll from the house with some great restaurants. We visited Tours by train (we walked to the Langeais station) and drove to the Azay Le Rideau which took about 20 minutes. This is a great house for familes, our kids loved the enormous bedroom/playroom and had lots of fun playing with the dressing up costumes and other toys. Thank you very much Madame Carlier for opening your house to us.

Fantastic property on the outskirts of Laungais, a short walk from the town centre . Kitchen is the best part of the house with large glazed fenestrations and range cooker, brilliant for catering for a large family. or as we did holidaying with best friends The pool was great for the kids, and well maintained by a local handyman. There is a table tennis table too which was well used by all. One or two rooms could have done with fresh decoration, but overall the house is very comfortable. One health and safety item I would mention is the metal door stop sticking out of the living room door threshold, -could cause an injury to barefoot kids running around. Altogether a great property, and an ideal location to explore the Loire valley. Check out Chateau Villandre and Chambord , well worth a visit. Cycling is great too in the area

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is spacious and the beds, kitchen and bathrooms are modern enough. The house is located at walking distance from the centre of Langeais, a small but lively town with a beautiful castle. Many other interesting tourist hot spots are at short distance, such as the castle of Villandry and the city of Tours. A small disadvantage is that the larger part of the estate is situated in front of the house. The area at the backside can get really hot on warm summer days, but it probably perfect when it is less warm. We enjoyed the swimming pool a lot!

Nous avons apprécié notre semaine de vacances à la Tuffière, cette charmante maison de famille. La cuisine est très bien équipée et fonctionnelle. Les chambres sont spacieuses et les enfants ont adoré la chambre dortoir! Nous avons apprécié la terrasse, la piscine bien chauffée et bien entretenue. La région permet d'allier sports et culture. Seul bémol: le parking pour les voitures juste devant la maison qui est exigu alors qu'il y a un immense terrain devant la maison. L'aménagement de celui-ci en le dégageant de la façade de la maison serait bienvenu. Une maison de vacances à recommander!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette grande maison typique, le jardin est magnifique et bien entretenu. La maison est parfait pour accueillir plusieurs familles notamment grâce à la grande salle de jeu où les enfants ont trouvé leur bonheur dans la malle à déguisement et dans les coffres à jouets. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les soirées au coin du feu et la cuisine très conviviale. Quelques petits points d amélioration : l escalier qui monte à l étage est très glissant, il faut prévoir des chaussons adhérents, un léger manque de lumière dans la salle de jeu (1 ampoule ne fonctionnant pas). Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir aller à Langeais à pied par de petites routes, la balade est sympa.

Maison bien située, proche du centre-ville de Langeais. Grande salle de jeux-dortoir pour les petits enfants, grande cuisine-salle à manger, cheminée fonctionnelle. Vu la saison, nous n'avons pas expérimenté la piscine ni la terrasse ensoleillée. Mais nous avons quelques remarques qui, chacune, serait mineure. Nous étions 15 personnes, dont 8 adultes. Le lave-vaisselle est très sous-dimensionné et devait fonctionner au moins 4 fois par jour. L'espace télévision est mal placé et le téléviseur mériterait d'être remplacé. L'installation électrique de la maison semble très bricolée. Le chauffage était capricieux et a nécessité l'intervention du chauffagiste. Aucun de ces problèmes a lui seul n'aurait justifié une appréciation réservée sur cette location. Mais le problème que nous avons tous remarqué et qui nous a le plus gênés est l'état de propreté de la maison : beaucoup de poussière dans les chambres et les parties communes. Nous avons déjà loué de grandes maisons pour passer les fêtes en famille et c'est la première fois que nous avons ressenti une telle impression de manque d'entretien du gîte. C'est aussi le gîte qui était le plus cher parmi ceux que nous avons expérimentés. La maison a du potentiel, mais une réfection d'ampleur serait indispensable pour qu'elle soit au niveau de ce qu'on attend d'une telle location.

Nous avons passé une semaine superbe à Langeais. La maison est très grande avec plein de chambres différentes. Les enfants ont apprécié la piscine jour et nuit. Seulement l'arrivée était un peu compliqué parce qu'on ne savait pas le nom (La Tuffière) de la maison. L'adresse sur google n'était pas assez correcte alors qu'on a pris plusieurs tours sur la route pour la trouver enfin. Et l'ordre dans la cuisine ... il fallait un peu s'habituer. Mais bof, cela nous n'a pas empeché de cuisinier de bon repas. Merci beaucoup pour l'agréable séjour.

Nous avons passé une semaine excellente à la Tuffiere sous la canicule et sur les circuits voisins. La maison est spacieuse et très agréable à vivre La piscine, entretenue quotidiennement, est un véritable atout à cette maison. Aucune mauvaise surprise. Les photos correspondent à la réalité. Une grange constitue un bel abri pour nos vélos. Superbe jardin Seul bémol : 1 des chambres possède une sortie directe vers l’extérieur ( très agréable et pratique) mais sa sortie intérieure se fait pas une autre chambre. Nous y retournerions avec plaisir

Nous venons de passer 4 jours dans cette maison, que l'on aimerai bien être la notre Spacieuse, plein de charme, surtout la cuisine avec cette vue sur la piscine. Très beau jardin avec des arbres immenses, on y verrai bien une tyrolienne ou un accrobranche pour le plaisir des grands et petits :) Une multitude de jeux pour les petits et grands enfants Une salle de jeux très grande, qui doit être fortement appréciée pendant les journée pluvieuses. Une grande terrasse que nous avons très apprécié pendant les repas Enfin rien à redire, que du bonheur :)

Gite très spacieux et très agréable à vivre. Idéal pour les familles avec enfants et ados. Bien placé, assez central par rapport à toutes les activités et visites possibles dans la région. De plus la ville de Langeais est très jolie. Petit bémol: il y avait beaucoup de moustiques pendant notre séjour. Mais ça ne nous a pas empêché de profiter pleinement du lieu.

nous avons passé une excellente semaine. Petits et grands , nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour et des prestations offertes par votre belle maison tout à fait remarquable, cuisine et batterie de cuisine exceptionnelles, salle de jeux rêvée pour les enfants, piscine magnifique, ping pong...) un tout petit bémol sur la propreté des protège matelas à notre arrivée. Je tiens aussi à remercier vivement le jardinier pour sa discrétion le matin et pour son professionalisme. Merci pour cette semaine de rêve qui nous a permis de passer de si bons moments familiaux !

Nous souhaitions une grande maison pour accueillir toute notre famille (8 adultes, 6 enfants) avec de l'espace et une grande pièce pour manger tous ensemble. Nous avons été ravi de cette maison ! La cuisine est très bien équipée, avec une vue imprenable sur la piscine ! Les chambres sont spacieuses et le dortoir était parfait pour les enfants. Nous avons choisi cette très belle maison pour nous servir de point fixe à une semaine de balades à vélo autour de Langeais. Nous avons été ravis de ce choix car cette demeure présentait toutes les qualités que nous pouvions en attendre: espace, confort, calme. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la grande cuisine, chaleureuse et fonctionnelle, qui nous a servi de pièce principale. Les chambres étaient toutes très bien, confortables et spacieuses. La grange nous a permis de ranger nos nombreux vélos à l'abri. Enfin, les espaces verts environnant la maison nous ont procuré une impression de tranquillité et de calme. En résumé, une maison accueillante, confortable et idéalement placée pour visiter les bords de la Loire (et du Cher, de l'Indre et même de la Vienne), à recommander sans modération!

Maison idéale pour passer des vacances au calme. Nous étions 4 familles et ne manquions pas d'espace! Vaste terrain de jeux pour les enfants. La maison est très bien équipée (notamment la cuisine).
