400m² on 3 levels - 7 bedrooms including 1 bedroom and its shower room on the ground floor accessible to certain people with reduced mobility (2 steps) - 5 bathrooms or showers - 100 hectares of enclosed parkland and meadows - century-old trees - view over the Indre river with boat and canoe available. Swimming pool, table tennis, badminton and piano in the outbuildings, to be shared with the gîte du moulin (4 pers) and the gîte du château (5 pers). We had an amazing week at the manoir. The house and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed playing table tennis, exploring the river by boat and petting the sweet donkey on the property. It’s a perfect place to stay with a larger group, with plenty of space for everyone. Bakeries and supermarkets are very close by, which was really convenient. The area is peaceful and spacious, with a river and woods right on the property. We loved every moment of our stay and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect holiday destination!

The property is enormous. Very French and very peaceful. We had a 5 and a 2 year old with us and it was perfect for them. Lovely swimming pool (plus unfortunately a swarm of bees/wasps) games room, boats and swings. Older children would get very bored. A welcome pack of at least milk and maybe bread would be good. Supermarket is very good but a drive away. We stayed for two weeks and I was surprised bedding and towels not changed in that time. Monts is small but adequate. It’s a lovely tranquil place to stay but very French. Welcoming lady has no English though the owner who lives in the Chateaux in the grounds speaks English well.

What a place. We stayed with a couple of families here and it was an amazing experience. From boating on the river to walking through the grounds, it was amazing. Save some carbon emissions by checking out the Californian sequoias onsite too - some of the amazing and varied trees that have been growing there for over 100 years. The kind of place that you can just let kids over 6 run freely, you won't regret booking here. Anne very helpful too. Probably best for bigger groups than nuclear families. Also probably a bit too quiet for teenagers.

This house is perfect for large families.It is very spacious and has large bedrooms ,spread over three floors. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need.There is a laundry room on the first floor. There is also a nursery with tv and DVD player in here,(aswell as the lounge)The property has numerous toilets and bathrooms. The kitchen again is extremely well equipped. The river has a boat and canoe for your use. The owner is most helpful with any querie you might have.All in all a lovely place with entertainment for all ages.The pool,pool house which has ping pong,table football and a piano.

The Most Wonderful Stay!

We stayed at the Manoir for a week and had the most wonderful time! We have 8 children from 3 to 14 years, and all of them loved the house and the pool. There was so much space and the setting was beautiful and tranquil - just what we needed for a true relaxing break. The house was immaculate and the rooms spacious and homely. The little ones spent hours every day on the swings and slide, and the animals were an added bonus! The kitchen was really well stocked with everything you could need, and the local supermarket was only a 5 minute drive away. The lady who greeted us did not speak any English but we were able to manage, and she was ever so friendly and kind. We have stayed in three different places on our holiday, and this was by far our favourite, and we would love to come again another year. We were lucky with the weather and the sunsets were incredible. Thank you so much for making our holiday so special with your beautiful house!

Beautiful property and surroundings, with 2 friends Hitchcock (a very friendly donkie) and Napoleon (a friendly little bull) :), but where we could see including deer, pheasants, squirrels. Le Manoir was suitable for our requirements. A little more attention to cleanliness. Very close to sightseeings (castles). Worth to return!

The Manoir at Breuil was the ideal homebase for a lovely week in the Loire Valley. The house was spacious and well-equipped; most importantly for us urban city dwellers, it afforded a completely private and serene setting on a gated property that gave us the luxurious sense of being alone deep in the countryside. That said, every amenity we needed in terms of groceries or gas was within a few minutes’ drive, and more varied and upscale shopping was availbe in Tours, a mere thirty minutes away. The house is also ideally situated as a base from which to visit many of the top attractions in the area, from Chambord and Chenonceau to Blois and Villandry. Madame Paillard was a gracious and helpful interlocutor before and during our stay, responding quickly to any and all inquiries. I would definitely recommend this rental to friends and consider rebooking there myself, should I return to this part of France.

Absolutely wonderful magical place . Me and my family had a fantastic week here so peaceful and is situated within easy reach of chateaus and the beautiful town of Tours. Monts the village is quaint and hosts a few restaurants -however be warned they are not accustomed to large numbers and it is probably safer to book in advance. We were a party of 13) The swimming pool is brilliant and as it is situated a short walk away from the Manor (within the grounds) adds to the safety if you have small children, as we did, realising that they could not easily disappear. There is also a fully equipped games room situated near the pool with a piano table tennis and much more. The river that flows down from the manor is just beautiful and we made use of the canoes provided to float up and down on a steaming hot day- just idyllic. The manor is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need : my only gripe was the cleaning arrangements for the end of the week. Obviously as a responsible family we cleaned and tidied the Manor house at least to the standard it was when we arrived. I had questioned the request for a 200 euro cleaning fee, on top of what I considered to be a substantial cost for the weekly rent. The owner agreed to waiver as long as we left the place clean. On the morning of our departure a couple of ladies who I gathered were employed as cleaners, came and turned the place over to inspect. Whilst I understand that this may be necessary especially to find any breakages; we had already reported that a window in one of the doors had broken one day due to high winds for which we were charged 40 euro. The cleaners advised the owner that they would need to have four hours to clean the place ready to re-let ?( charge 40 euro) Surely as having paid the rent should not be charged to do the extra cleaning need to re- let the property? If we pay for a room in a hotel we are not charged extra to clean the room for the next occupants. It was fortunate that we had the fore site to take photos of the ovens which were left dirty, not to mention the toe nail clippings in our bedroom that we found under the beds definitely not ours! would suggest that whoever was in the property before us paid for cleaning that had not been done up to the standards that the owner suggested she expected? Not sure if this is the way the French people work but it did leave a bitter taste after a really lovely week.

There were 8 adults and six children in our group and we had bedrooms to spare. The owners have restored the Manoir beautifully and there are other buildings on the estate that have been similarly restored which are available to rent. The Manoir suited us perfectly. With a pool, childrens play area, boats on the river, and a sports building there was plenty to do and keep our group fully occupied. The living area is large and the kitchen well equipped. YOu can even walk to the village where there are a couple of restaurants. WE all loved it !!!

This fully updated and well maintained house is perfect for a family gathering, with a large, well-equipped kitchen and lots of family games and activities. Our family of 12, ranging from age 9 to 88, enjoyed two weeks at the house and never ran out of things to do. The estate is located is a beautiful village with every convenience, including a large supermarket and some good restaurants. The house is an easy drive to Tours and many chateaux. The swimming pool is beautiful and there is even a boat for the river.

We stayed in the manoir in high season as a family group. The property is stunning, both inside and out, and has some wonderful period features. The rooms are all tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. The facilities available within the house are extensive and well maintained. The house is secluded and peaceful, and set in grounds within a forest, we particularly enjoyed fishing by the river adjacent to the property and also using the rowing boat provided. There is ample opportunity to see wildlife, both immediately outside and by walking in the surrounding woods. Our children loved the swimming pool and spent a great deal of time there. Although it is possible to walk to some of the local restaurants, a car is highly desirable for shopping. With transport, it's also very easy to access a large number of chateaux and vineries in the region. We particularly enjoyed Domaine de Cande, which is very near indeed, and exceeded our expectations far more than the large houses on the regular visiting route. Mme Paillard greeted us and made herself available to us for assistance and advice when needed. She was extremely helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend this property enough! Outstanding.

Our group of 14 friends (a mix of couples and singles) had an outstanding holiday at Le Breuil. The setting is lovely, on the banks of the river Indre, close to charming towns such as Monts and Artannes, and reasonably close to area attractions such as chateaux and vineyards. The house itself has been remodeled in such a way that it preserves the original details and charm, while being sufficiently modernized. The kitchen is well equipped. The pool is quite nice. You will definitely need a car to get to the property and also to get around the area. The owner, Mme. Paillard, was a very helpful resource as well. I would recommend this home for any group of friends or family.

The manoir is a lovely place to stay with friends or family. Well appointed accommodation and very comfortable bedrooms and furnishings. Easy to travel to, we used 3 methods. Train from Edinburgh, driving from London and flying from Edinburgh. All worked well. The pool is lovely, well designed and peaceful and it is superb to walk around the grounds and spot the deer, woodpeckers and squirrels. Overall would recommend this as a place to stay.

Het Manoir is een heerlijke vakantie woning. Alles zit er in. De keukenspullen zijn zeer uitgebreid. Wij zijn nu voor de 2e keer geweest. Voor de kinderen een zwembad en een speelzaal met tafeltennis en voetbalspel. In de bossen kun je een fijne wandeling maken en het kleinvee is ook heel gezellig. De os, ezel en schaap.

Nous avons séjourné au manoir pour un weekend en famille. L'endroit est très joli et agréable, notamment les extérieurs, avec de grands espaces, des animaux pour le plaisir des plus petits, une jolie piscine etc. L'intérieur est également agréable, "dans son jus" et plutôt bien équipé. Très propre. Seuls bémols : la qualité de certaines literies et le surcoût par personne pour avoir des draps et une serviette de toilette (vraiment cher pour avoir un drap et seulement une serviette par personne), qui franchement pourrait être inclus dans le prix pour une location de ce standing...

Le manoir est plein de charme authentique et cuisine et salles de bain ont le confort parfaitement moderne. Les pièces sont spacieuses et décorées avec goût. L’hôtesse, Anne - Thaïs est extrêmement accueillante, à l’écoute de ses hôtes et efficace. Le domaine est admirable et les distractions pour grands et petits si nombreuses que nos petits enfants ne voulaient pas le quitter! Nous souhaitons pouvoir y revenir.

A l'occasion de nos 50 ans de mariage nous souhaitions passer quelques jours en famille dans la Loire avec enfants et petits-enfants. En dehors de quelques visites culturelles nous avons passé au Manoir des heures excellentes. Le gîte est très confortable et peut être parfaitement chauffé. Le grand feu ouvert (bois en suffisance) ajoute une note très agréable. Cuisine fort bien équipée et nombre de sanitaires amplement suffisant. Chambres spacieuses et living très cosy. Agréable répartition des pièces. Adresse à recommander.
