It was good very nice location
It could off been cleaner the bathroom floor was still dirty when we got there and the kitchen floor was still wet when we got there
Apart from that it was very nice and very good location for where it was and we were able to go and see the family and friends very easy

Pleasant stay at the cottage with loch so close by. Had a wonderful time and lots of memories to take back.
Looking forward for the next visit soon. Even on a rainy day(where we could not go out as planned) we enjoyed staying at the cottage, provided lots of board games, Music and Film collection. Amazing place to stay with nearby attractions.

This is a simple cottage with everything you could or should need for a stay in Glenelg.
It's not ultra modern or tech heavy, and the price reflects it. If you stay here and find yourself needing something more then the likelihood is that the Scottish Highlands isn't for you :)
I would recommend the property is best for small groups of friends or young families (2 adults + 2-3 kids). The Glenelg Shop & the Glenelg Inn have plenty between them to keep you going if you don't want to stock up too heavily before reaching the village. Support local please.

The cottage is very thoughtfully and very thoroughly equipped and to a very high standard. It is spotlessly clean, cosy and extremely comfortable.
The immediate location is idyllic and the surrounding area, including Kintail, Lochaber and Skye, is utterly gorgeous. With an enterprising village shop on one side and a pub/hotel through a gate on the other side, the cottage is well served.
With a very reasonable price and a decent cancellation policy, Glenbeag Cottage represents wonderful value.
We recommend unreservedly.

Property was 1st class, having the glenelg inn next door for food and drinks was superb

The cottage is ideally situated close to the shop and the pub (and no, the close proximity to the latter has no impact, noise etc.). Can't fault the way it has been equipped, everything you could need is there and someone put real thought into this.

We had a wonderful stay at Glenelg. It was a beautiful location, the cottage had everything we needed and more, including a pub in the garden!
A great autumnal break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The kids loved the beach and all the free range animals

What a lovely cottage that has everything for a comfortable stay. We were given perfect directions to the cottage & there are lots of maps & books about the local area. Glenelg is a little pretty waters edge village with lots of view points to gaze out from, my favourite place was the at the Glenelg Ferry Station where there is a Coffee shop, the coffee & homemade cakes are delicious. There is a great lookout point across to Skye, we saw lots of cheeky seals & two white tailed eagles there…… that completely made the holiday. Lovely quiet cottage with a pub serving good food, right nextdoor & a great little shop in the village made for a very happy holiday.

Spent a week in Glenelg in this very well appointed cottage. Cosy and comfortable with everything you could want including 2 bikes. Location is perfect next door to local Inn which serves excellent food, right in the heart of the village and a 2 minute walk to local shop. Would highly recommend.

The whole experience is staying at this property in Glenelg was amazing. The house surpassed our expectations and was very modern inside with literally everything you could possibly need including bikes and kayaks! The inn next door is great and you can’t hear any noise in the evening from the house. The people are all really friendly! We’d recommend doing the quiz night on Thursday! So much to do around the little peninsula as well with the brewery and brochs close by as well as some amazing walks. The hosts were so helpful and provided everything we could need to make our stay as wonderful as possible. I could not recommend more and will definitely be coming back.

Lovely property, really relaxing and peaceful. We had concerns living next to the pub would be noisy but no noise at all and really friendly. Property was clean, well equipped and we both believe one of our best holidays. Definitely recommend

After a more basic chalet the week before this cottage felt luxurious; well appointed, spacious and absolutely spotless. As we were with the three of us we did not use the bikes and Kayaks that came with the cottage, but nonetheless appreciated that it was available. Also lovely that there was a landline telephone available, because being on a foreign cellphone plan we could not even phone with help of the excellently functioning WiFi. The listing gave the impression that the cottage was situated with a view over the bay, and though through some windows you have glimpses,it is not a full view. As it is only a few minutes walk to the bay, it was just a minor disappointment and everything else was lovely. Maybe just add one bigger frying pan to the otherwise very complete kitchen utensils, we ended up having to do a sort of stirfry in a regular pan..

We very much enjoyed staying in this cottage which had everything we needed. A 5 minute walk takes you to the bay and it’s stunning scenery. We saw an otter near the monument about 10pm. It was fun to use the car ferry to Skye. Sandaig bay is beautiful and remote. You can park on the roadside, then walk to the bay. We enjoyed a ‘linear’
walk (as opposed to circular) from Corran and glimpsed the dorsal fin of a dolphin/ porpoise ?

Lovely Glenelg
Lovely Glenelg
If you're looking for spectacular scenery in every direction, this is for you. Lovely walks abound. The cottage was lovely and spotless. Our only downside was the Glenelg Inn. Despite having great reviews, our meals and service was poor. The pork was tough and inedible (and uncutable). The fish was so so. Despite booking, they hadn't reserved a table for us. Promised us the next available table, then gave it to someone else??? Although I'm reviewing the accommodation, I feel I have to mention the inn as you're a captive audience. There is no other place to have a drink/meal where you don't have to drive.

Wonderful week at cosy cottage
Wonderful week at cosy cottage
Very clean, good quality furniture, fittings and utensils. Underfloor heating was fabulous and much appreciated. Although we had no children with us I highly recommend to families. Everything is provided here - 2 mountain bikes and 2 kayaks, fishing rods etc - excellent info provided for everything, all manuals for washing machine, dryer over, tv etc. They do have internet just not this week, fine by me and it was a BT issue likely connected to the wild weather and I really enjoyed it - excellent value for money and I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to friends n family.

Glenelg November 2021
Glenelg November 2021
Absolutely fabulous cottage. The best we've ever stayed at in terms of extra's and feeling like you're home from home. The wonderful hosts supplied mountain bikes, kayaks, fishing rods and bird feed for the garden. Not to mention all the techy stuff and a fab selection of games, books and maps. There were cleaning products, tea, coffee, tin foil, sponges, cloths and so on. I could go on but I imagine anyone reading this has already got the general picture. A lovely wee porch at the front to sit and listen to the birds and the Glenelg Inn right next door; which for us was a bonus. Might be a bit busy and an infringement on your privacy in the summer months (only a guess as we went in November) as you look on to the Inn's car park, but not a problem for us and if you like watching the world go by and into people watching/chatting, then it's not a problem. There is distance from the cottage to the Inn courtesy of the lovely garden to the front and a reasonably big hedge to give you further privacy. We went in November and knew the ferry to Sky stopped operating end October. The Inn is great but again in the winter months is only open from Thursday to Sunday serving only drinks and no meals. There is no phone reception in the Inn but the WIFI in the accommodation is very good and you can make outgoing calls on your mobile further down the main road nearer the small housing estate (at the phone box. No street lights for a portion of Glenelg main street so bring a well lit torch. Thankfully the cottage is easy to find in the dark as it's right next to Glenelg Inn which is a welcomed landmark if you arrive after dark. Loved this place and booking again for January. Not sure how the Rattigan pass will be during the winter months; but we're always up for a challenge. I would highly recommend this cottage, as have others. Hence the reason it is fully booked for the majority of the year. Thank you to our host Ian for getting back so promptly and having made our stay absolutely fabulous. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful and a great base for exploring Skye and the Applecross peninsula and pass. Hazel and Patrick.

We saw otters!
We saw otters!
Originally supposed to be five of us, two of our family were ‘pinged’ the day before we left to spend two amazing weeks in this fabulous location in a lovely clean, well furnished and excellent holiday cottage.
The local area is wonderful for walking and we visited everything around within walking distance (including the local brewery) and various car trips took us to Sheena’s Tea Rooms, Sandaig and Glensheil (and the chocolate shop) and travelling further afield, we said Hi to Nessie, a walk to Dunringill and a road trip around Skye which included a stop to admire the view where we were treated to the wonderful sight of a Golden Eagle.
A boat trip on the Seaprobe Atlantis was one of the highlights of our visit where we saw three otters (a mum and two pups) on a small island in the middle of Loch Alsh.
We highly recommend the Glenelg Ferry which made a slight detour on our final crossing to get a better view of two sea eagles living in the area.
What a wonderful holiday and one which both our son and my husband will cherish for a long time.
Thank you so much.

Definitely recommend as a place to get away from the hectic daily grind whilst still enjoying all the comforts of home.

Lovely 7-day Visit to Glenelg
Lovely 7-day Visit to Glenelg
This was our favorite cottage (and village) and wished we could have stayed longer. Cottage was meticulously clean (we removed our shoes at the entry, as it felt instinctive to do so), fabulous kitchen and laundry, bath and shower were sparkling. Rooms were very comfortable and cheery—loved the colors. Local community was so friendly. Although we missed a tour day because of the hurricane, we were happy to stay home. The Glenelg Inn, steps away, was a great place to eat. Loved the food and the people whom we met. Be sure to visit the barracks—steps away, 2 brochs, the Wagon (teeny cafe), very near the brochs and the Hut, in Corran. Local small shop in village (for groceries) was well-stocked. From Glenelg we took two separate day trips to Skye. Eilean Donan Castle was along the way. Sheep, local dogs and bunnies were part of the adventure. Many thanks for a beautiful experience.

Fabulous cottage in Glenelg
Fabulous cottage in Glenelg
Had a brilliant time at Glenelg and this was in no small part to the fabulous accommodation. The house is high spec and has everything you’d need. WiFi could be better as I had 3 teenagers and no matter how much time we spent outdoors they still needed good WiFi when we returned to cottage. That’s not such a big thing for me but thought I should say. Anyway no qualms about recommending.
