Central but too basic for more than a quick stay.

We stayed at Rate Fjortes Hotel in Vlora and it has its ups and downs. It’s perfectly central — really easy to get around. But the rooms were very small, better suited for one person than a couple or family. Breakfast was included, but it was very basic — just coffee and a croissant. Overall it’s fine for a short solo stay, but don’t expect much more.

The room size was ok and its clean

The location was not too good, and the big issue was the ELEFATOR, can u beleive it that i got a room in the fifth floor and i had to walk the stairs every time, and they dont have phone so if i needed anything i walk 5 floor stairs.

It was clean

I think they use wrong exchange rate. Was supposed to pay €18 which is around 1980 Lek but they charged me 3000 Leks. I realised this too late, so be careful and always double check.

Its literally next to a gas station so you might hear cars come and go. Its more the talking one hears but in the night its quiet eventually.

Hotel for those who have no sense of smell and hard of hearing

The hotel is next to the terminus of the bus from Titana and the bus to Saoanda leaves next to the hotel. The room was clean, there is air conditioning.

There is a strong smell in the room from the drain hole in the toilet. Also in the room there is a buzzing sound from the gas station, which is next to the hotel. This noise can wake you up at night.

I booked this as close to the 'bus station'. But hadn't realised there are a few bus stations! And it wasn't the bus station i needed! Plus it was at least a 30mins walk to the beach.

Worth staying

After one night, we liked it and booked for the second one, there was no problem to stay in the same room :) Hotel is very close to the "bus stop" from Tirana. The Staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and quite big, with AC, clean bathroom with mini cosmetics and towels. There is elevator. You can pay by card. Wifi working properly. All good! :)

Staff's English language skills could be better, but they can communicate :)

Clean and decent room but not what I paid for.

Very clean, decent location and although not all the staff spoke english they did try to help when I asked for directions

I specifically booked a room with a balcony and the room I was given didn’t have a balcony. The description also said there would be a safe and a minibar which both were not in the room I was given so it kinda feels I paid for stuff I never got and got a cheaper room instead. Also there was no toilet seat, very little toilet paper and when taking a shower, although very comfortable, the entire bathroom gets wet and slippery.

· A little bit strange experience. On the one hand: cheerful and friendly stuff, new furniture, cleanliness.

· On the other hand: location (near the construction site and about 20 min of fast walking from the center), strange designer concept in the bathroom. They look like train bathroom with the shower. Obviously hosts are trying to do the best and equip all the rooms with the shower, but it is strange when it is a toilette and a a shower together and water goes directly on the floor. (There is the shower but not the stand for it) So, it Is wet the majority of time. And it is difficult to change as bathrooms are tiny. Do not be surprise by this fact. To sum up it is very clean and modern furnished place, but for business stay or 1/2 days city tour stay. No for sea holidays
