Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the rooftop bar. Location & vibe was just right.

Switched to a single room after the first night for a much better experience (had to make a separate booking). In the mixed dorm room the bed was directly under the AC with no way to adjust the wind direction; bed also had no partition/curtain even though there was a rod for one to be attached so I had to hang my scarf & towels for privacy; also was not comfortable with the behavior of one man in the mixed room.

Friendly staff, very clean, good food, nice rooms

The windows aren’t acousticly isolated, so lots of noise from the street at night come through to the rooms. Please put better/new windows. 3-layered glass will solve this. Water pressure from the shower was a bit low. Sometimes when I was waiting for ordering food. The staff would sit there and play games on their phones and not notice me. Other than that, lots of kind people at the front desk.

Rooms are in much better condition with everything working, clean, and maintained. I’ve stayed at a few hostels in this area and this is the best, especially if you prefer a private room.

Totally a subjective thing - but the street side area is really a missed opportunity. They have a cafe and space out front but it’s under-utilised and more a place to sit/stand while smoking a cigarette. Put some tables and chairs and make a smoking outdoor coffee chill out space, you will find more people going there for coffee and cigarettes more comfortably. As a smoker we always want a coffee or drink and to sit down and people watch and ponder. I think the cafe will be more of a money maker if they made it more inviting in that outside area. I found myself going to other cafes to have a morning smoke and meal due to this.

The staff are really nice, very welcoming. The room was clean.

The hostel is located in an area that is not so inviting.. There was a party at the rooftop until 5am which made it very hard to sleep
