Antica Corte Pallavicina Relais

Have stayed several times and found it exceptional. The location is beautiful and the rooms are individual and interesting.

I prefer the rooms in the main house. This time we were in the newly renovated stable building. It was very nice but less accessible. We stayed on a Monday so unfortunately the Michelin starred restaurant was closed.

A charming Castello that has been beautifully restored with passion, it has a working farm that services the two onsite restaurants. I absolutely love the farm to plate philosophy and being surrounded by such rustic beauty. The castello has been furnished and decorated in line with the era and is very clean, the restaurants are immaculate, food is delectable and comes as no surprise of the Michelin rating for numerous years! There was a wonderful vibe in the courtyard on the Thursday evening… a Summer Party with the bar open, music and very lively atmosphere!

Our room “Marcello” seemed cute on first appearance but not as expected. For us, the room was musty and a little dingy, I attempted to improve the internal smells by opening the shutters and windows to let in fresh air but every time we returned everything was shut up and air con was back on - maybe the smell was the air con. The lounge (doubles as a single bed) is uncomfortable for a 4 day stay - guests that stay that long should be provided a room with comfortable seating. Breakfast on the first morning was disappointing, the young man didn’t explain anything and then disappeared- we weren’t even offered tea or coffee. The buffet had flies all over it and was picked over, leftover bread from the restaurants bread baskets was offered and was stale. Thankfully the other 3 mornings we had a better experience. We attempted to have a drink in the gorgeous courtyard but the bar was shut Friday, Saturday and Sunday… it was a struggle to get service do we ordered wine through the reception… the courtyard did not have the same appeal as the first night… no background music, atmosphere or service… very disappointing! The Castello had a pungent smell from the cellar but we chose not to spend our time in that area. I understand the emphasis may be on the Restaurants as the passion which is a 10 ! However the accommodation side does not meet the same standard or friendliness unfortunately! This property has the potential to be a 10 for everything… you need fresh eyes looking at the accommodation guest experience… best to you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Antica Corte. The place is truly authentic and unique, with its own fascinating history and traditions that create a very special atmosphere. Everything feels carefully preserved while still being comfortable and welcoming. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel relaxed and genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality made a wonderful impression.
