About this apartment rental

The apartment, located in an elegant and typical Ligurian building beginning '900, was the subject of a recent conservative rehabilitation work with quality materials and quality typical of the area.
The house is located in a quiet and reserved, a few hundred meters from the station and the center of Corniglia. The particular position on the hill, planted with citrus and olive trees, sloping down to the sea allows you to have a breathtaking view of the sea front.

Although located on the second floor, the apartment is easily accessible from the road surface by means of a flat walkway or the reserved parking on the property over stairs. The apartment is very bright because it has four windows that allow a pleasant ventilation even in the hottest summer days.
The house of 60 square meters, consists of a double bedroom with sea view; a bathroom with a large shower and functional; large living area with sea view table for 6, sofa converts into a comfortable bed and satellite television; full kitchen with all necessary facilities. Complete the apartment, a balcony with table and chairs, accessible from the living area and equipped with lighting for evenings and large common outdoor space with also of night lighting.

We loved our stay in Corniglia. We loved waking up with that great view from the balcony. The town has everthing you need and its nice to come home to after hicking to the other towns which was packed with people. We'll definately be back and stay at this condo.

This property is fantastic. The apartment spacious and clean, and—best of all—the view of the Ligurian Sea from the balcony is breathtaking. We slept with the windows open, listening to the sounds of the sea (and the occasional train). Corniglia is a lovely town with great restaurants and spectacular views.

Host was very responsive. Very clean property with plenty of amenities. No A/C but a fan is provided. Close walk to town. Tip: walk the road down to the train station as opposed to taking the steps. Faster and easier even easy with luggage.

Good location. Views as advertised. Arrived by train. Easy walk up road or take the bus to the home. Or take the 380 steps up if you’re not carrying luggage. Easy walk into town less than 5 minutes. 10 minute walk to blue trail north or south bound. Trains to other towns every 15 minutes. No ferry service but trains are simple and frequent. Purchased 3 day pass for rails and trails pass at the train station saves time and makes everything simple.

The apartment is well equipped with everything we needed for our stay and amazing views! I have never stayed in a place with such beautiful scenery. The check in process was so smoothe. The host responds super fast and we changed our arrival time twice and the host was still super accommodating. We were met by a lovely assistant who showed us around the apartment and answered all our questions and let me practice my pigeon italian. She brought us extra laundry detergent the next day. The host left great recommendations for places to eat. We were so happy we chose this one!

This apartment was perfect for us after 6 busy weeks in Italy. We needed some time to rest and there couldn’t have been a better choice. The apartment is beautifully maintained, with quality materials. Waking up to the view was amazing. The only thing I’d mention is that, though this apartment is smoke and pet free others in the house are not. We had 1 unpleasant evening with close neighbors that smoked on their balcony for hours and a dog that barked until nearly 11:30 at night. Neither of these things were within our hosts control. But if these would impact your stay, just be aware.

Great place to retreat to after hiking cinque terra even though you climb almost 400 steps from the train to the accommodation. It was definitely worth it!

We enjoyed our stay. Place was clean. Had plenty of dishes and pots and pans for our needs. The view is spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on the patio with our coffee and wine. You could hear a little bit of noise from the other units in the building and the train tracks. The apartment is a short walk up the hill from thw train or you can catch the village bus.

Everything is exactly as the photos show and described on the website.Great location for walking around the Cinque Terre. Beautiful walk from Corniglia along the coastline to Vernazza, with a couple of interesting refreshment stops on the way.We will definitely be returning. Thank you Emiliana and Antonella. The clean, newly renovated, and spacious apartment is in a stand alone Villa just down the main road from the city center. It is quiet and private. Every window opens easily to vineyards and the ocean. Photos cannot fully describe its elegance.

Emiliana's place is exactly as per her description and photographs. It was just right for a three night visit for walking and relaxation. We comfortably walked the coast paths straight from the door to all the five villages, but as with everything in the Cinque Terre you need to be physically capable to enjoy what is on offer. The parking spot was really useful right next to the property behind a secure gate.

We had a great time at the Elegant Apartment. Both Antonella and Emiliana (host) were very courteous to deal with and the views from the apartment are stunning. Corniglia is also the quietest of the Cinque Terre so the nights were peaceful and quite enjoyable. The apartment is located only 10 minutes away from the train station and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable and unforgettable. The non-air conditioning was not a factor as there is enough of a cross breeze if you open all the windows and there is no dishwasher. Other than that, this place is a perfect vacation getaway for its price point Highly recommended.

We were looking forward to this stay based on the photos of the view but it honestly surpassed even those high expectations. The place was spotless and well decorated. The view…I could sit on that balcony forever. Communication with hostess was great. Ms Antonella met us at La Posada and showed us the place. She does not speak English and we don’t speak Italian but she was kind and patient and we managed well. We loved Corniglia as a staging ground for exploring Cinque Terra. Central and quiet. The 382 steps made us feel like we earned all the gelato and pasta. Overall wonderful apartment and memories.

Great property with excellent views. The location was perfect, as it was very peaceful and quiet, with a very short walk to the main village. Everything was as indicated on the listing, nothing else was needed for a comfortable stay. Emiliana, the host, was easy to work with and the check-in process was simple. I would definitely stay at this property again!

Perfect!!! I wanted to feel like I lived there and experience Cinque Terre and Corniglia as a local. What could be better than walking back to my own place after dinner or after a day out exploring! It was clean, comfortable, beautifully appointed. The VIEW!!!! The balcony! It was quiet and a wonderful place to retreat from the crowds. Corniglia is quieter than the other villages and that's exactly what I needed after spending time in Monterosso al Mare. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Perfect location. A short walk to the town and train station, but just far enough to be away from the crowds and enjoy the sounds of nature with a gorgeous view. Photos do not do it justice! Very friendly host and accommodations provided were everything we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to return!

Very clean, amazing view and well equipped for our 5 day stay in Corniglia. The balcony was delightful to relax on after a day of walking and the location was perfect for strolling down into town. Check-in process could bave been smoother with Antonella but ultimately was an easy process. I would definitely recommend and would stay again!

After hiking the trails, swimming, and exploring the towns, it was wonderful to recap our days with a glass of wine or two on the balcony high above sea before heading into town for dinner. The apartment was beautifully equipped with everything you could need. Very comfortable. A word of caution if driving - the road is a very stressful drive but the end result is worth it. The town is small and not as tourist packed as the other villages. Train down the hill is an easy way to get to the other towns.

The apartment is nicely appointed and the views are amazing. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. The bed is comfortable and the appliances are nice. There's no AC but a great breeze. Only problem is you have to close the bedroom window at night because of train noise so it gets warm. Also had trouble finding it the first day. Otherwise perfect!

The view from here was out of this world and I will stay here again if we ever go back. I gave only four stars on cleanliness due to the tiny ants that got up on the table and I gave only four stars on the check in process because Antonella was late. I was also not happy with the internet service as the router had to be reset on an hourly basis. The day we arrived, there had been a torrential rain all morning long, which probably attributed to the ant issue and Antonella's tardiness. Also, we came by car and that drive is not for the faint of heart. The other villages were easily accessible by train and we especially enjoyed the day we explored Riomaggiore and Manarola.

The location of this apartment was perfect. If you don’t mind the initial trek uphill from the train station or you can take the shuttle (only tricky with baggage when busy). The walk into town is short and sweet. The cookware could use some updating as there are some Teflon pans and utensils. Otherwise we had all we needed to make simple meals (we never ate out due to food allergies). Toaster was appreciated. Wish someone would have warned us about sea urchins, my son stepped on one while getting out of the water. We wasted half a day trying to figure out what to do, getting treatment (pharmacy in Corniglia has a cream for it.). They are not toxic, and not a big deal, something I wish our apartment contact would have told us. There are no screens on the windows, which would definitely change the feel of the apartment, and we were lucky to not have an issue with mosquitos. The nights were windy and the windows which open into the house do not secure to anything so they banged around a lot until we secured them with chairs. The washing machine was broken when we arrived (with 6 days of dirty laundry for a family of 4) and our host kindly offered to wash them elsewhere, but they came back in the same dirty bag and were washed with a strong smelling detergent. There was nowhere to hang dry them other than a tiny rack that held about 2 shirts and some socks. The view was incredible and everything else As close to perfect as possible, Will be back for sure.

A wonderful apartment with the most spectacular view. Corniglia is the quietest and most unassuming of the Cinque Terre villages, and also for me the most appealing. Everyone is very friendly. Our hosts, Emiliana and Antonella, were both kind, helpful and welcoming. The apartment has everything you could need. It is close to walks towards both Vernazza and Manarola. You can catch the train back. There are two general stores on the town square selling fresh fruit and veg, cheese, deli meats, bread, milk, butter, wine, but no fresh meat or fish. Altogether, a most enjoyable stay.

The apartment is close by the train, which is helpful if you have a few bags (though still be prepared for lots of stairs & hills, pack light). It’s close to the Corniglia town center, restaurants and a pharmacy. The house was clean and had everything one would need from coffee to wifi, a hair dryer, shower amenities, etc. Above all the view is spectacular and the place was so safe. 10/10 would go again and highly recommend.

Lovely apt with views out every window. Apt was comfortable & very well equipped. Its a short 5-10 minute walk to the main part of the tiny town. You can walk down the hill to the train station. Having parking is a big plus. While Cinque Terre is a can be chaotic with all the people, it was always welcome to return to our slice of paradise with quiet. You only hear the birds and trains. The owner was responsive and always helpful.

This was our 3rd place we stayed in Italy- the first 2 had a few short comings…not this one! From the most beautiful location to the amenities in the apartment to the shower (really- it’s full size, a nice change from the mini showers we had before). The apartment is clean, practically outfitted, and near enough to both transportation and to town. Everything we needed was there, and once we figured out how to use the stove we were all set. The bedroom is quite small, the kitchen and living area were nice-sized, but the balcony is a postage-stamp (albeit with a really great view). If you know CT, you understand Corniglia is the one town that's not located directly on the coast, so you need to go 'up' to find a place to stay. I believe the description mentions the shuttle from the station up to town.... we took that exactly once during our 4 days there when we were taking the train daily. The apartment is 1/2 mile up the coast road (the other option being a 300+ step climb up a path), which we found preferable to waiting for the bus with a bunch of others and being jammed in for the short ride up. The apartment is also maybe 1/4 mile 'below' the town, so you need to do a little walk up there as well to sample Corniglia's offerings. These are not negatives, just things you need to be aware of while planning. The 'check in' worked well- we were messaged to meet a woman at one of the shuttle stops to show us around. Unfortunately, she didn't speak any English so we probably didn't get as thorough an introduction to the town and accommodations as usual. The weather wasn't great but we were able to get in a couple good hikes and explore all 5 towns. Our nice apartment in Corniglia made it a fine few days in Cinque Terre.
