The hosts, Lara & Ricardo were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Dinner was an extraordinary gastronomical tour of the region. The building and garden were unique, inviting, comfortable, relaxing, clean and well placed on the Via Francigena, in a village of 16, nestled among the Apennine Mountains. Absolutely fantastic!

An amazing place on La Via Francigena. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Comfy room, incredible deco and Ricardo and Lara who manage the place were very friendly, knowledgeable and more than willing to assist with anything.

Fabulous!

This place is truly a haven when walking the Via Francigena. A stunningly restored old home - clean, comfortable and beautifully presented. The hosts are so warm and welcoming and provided interesting and helpful information on the local area. Dinner comprised of local dishes and produce from the garden and was delicious; as was breakfast. We highly recommend a stay at Eremo Gioioso!

Absolutely loved it here. A beautiful stone house with a fantastic garden and terrace, amazingly comfortable. A great dinner featuring local dishes of Lunigiana. Wonderful hosts that were very welcoming after a tough day on the Via Francigena.

A beautiful place to stay with lovely people.

Beautiful B&B run by exceptionally pleasant people. We elected to have dinner with them which was outstanding and included a type of pasta we had never seen - not at all like the usual pasta. Breakfast was great, too. this was an outstanding stay!

This place is a gem. I also want to thank them (Marzia, Marko) for fixing me dinner after my very long day on the Via Francigena.

A remote quiet BnB in the Lunigiana

It was a very good quiet place and was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

I accidentally booked in a rush for two people so the owner kindly altered the price and in fact halved it. However on the other hand I was overcharged for a mediocre dinner and wine. There was also no signal to telephone anyone.

Gorgeous B&B with fantastic hosts right on the Via Francigena trail. Marzia and Marco are wonderful hosts who provide a fantastic dinner for walkers. Highly recommended.
