The surroundings and cleanliness

The room did not have air conditioning, even though the listing stated that it did. In summer, the room gets quite hot, so I strongly recommend confirming with the hosts that the specific room you are booking actually has AC. From what I could tell, my room seemed to have previously been used as a dining area for guests. Apart from the lack of AC, its location in the corner was also quite inconvenient. During the day, you cannot open the curtains because people constantly walk past both in front of the room and along the side, so there is very little privacy. Even the light switches are quite far from the bed, located on the other side of the room. Personally, I don’t think this particular room should be offered as a standard rentable bedroom. The photos can also be somewhat misleading regarding the bathroom: it appears to show a private bathroom, but the room I rented, the last one available, did not have the bathroom shown in the listing.(This is correctly stated in the description so is not a complaint) The owners are friendly, and I explained this to them directly.However, I would not have booked this room if I had known it did not have AC, as it is very difficult to sleep comfortably in the summer heat.
