It will do

If you must visit Oosterhout, this is the most convienient hotel. The breakfast is quite extensive, fresh and good.

perfect for Weekend theatre trips

unexpected they gave me an upgrade on a large King bed. the room was great, a big bath, and very quit room. it's just around the corner at the theatre, so people booking tickets at the theatre this location is great, only 80 meters from the theatre and right in the city centre, easy parking and free

Good quiet and pleasant hotel in centre of Oosterhout 5' from busstation.

Very centrally located, 5 min walk from busstation. Good quality for the price of the room-with-breakfast. We had room 62: nice and quiet room on 2nd floor on backside, overlooking parking area with little park behind it. Good beds. Professional and very friendly service. Very good experience staying in Oosterhout (which was great after our horrific experience at t Zonneke a few years ago, where we were physically assaulted for complaining about outrageous party noise in the middle of the night, notwithstanding guarantees in advance from the manager that there would not be any party). A-hotel is the safe, much more pleasant choice for us for future H3H biennale visits to Oosterhout!

A minor detail: view from room on both sides of hotel (back and front) is on parking area. Just don't book for splendid city view from your room, everything else is perfectly fine here.

Disappointing, non hygienic

On the positive side, I’d highlight the calm location (even though it’s next to a church and you can hear the bells ringing), the friendly staff we encountered, and the breakfast, which offered a decent variety.

There was a horrible smell due to the carpets covering the floors in the common areas and corridors. As soon as we entered our room, there was an intense smell of tobacco. I thought smoking was prohibited and that a €75 fee would be applied. I believe this charge should be enforced for the previous guest, as the smell was awful! The overall quality of the facilities was also disappointing, everything felt old and outdated. The bathtub joints were worn and dirty. On top of that, we found men’s beard hair in the bathroom upon arrival, clearly showing that the cleaning had been poorly done. This is neither hygienic nor acceptable. The rooms are very hot during the summer, with no AC. The lady who assisted us at check-out didn’t even ask if everything had gone well during our stay, something that could definitely be improved to offer more attentive customer service. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place.

Good value for money, cozy and friendly.

Good Breakfast, cosy room, good-sized bathroom, nice location, and friendly staff. Evenings are very pleasant to walk around the neighbourhood. Try to park in front of the hotel ( Street: Waterlooplein | Parking Zone: 26225 ), which is free from 1800 to 0900 hrs. Parking Garage Basaliek, behind the hotel, is €6 per day.

Not exactly a no go, it would have been nice if Airco or fan would be provided in the room. I believe a portable fan might be available on request.

Staff were very helpful. Room was very clean. Position was good. A bar fridge would have been handy , as would AC as we arrived in a heatwave . No AC was mentioned in the literature so not their fault for the exceptional temperature. The breakfast was very good also .

Splendid hotel in a beautiful town

Nice big rooms, stunning comfortable beds. Easy to find in an old Dutch town, good internet, very friendly staff and good breakfast. Splendid! Would definitely advice to stay here. We didn't make use of parking facilities, but it looked fine.
