I loved this place. The room was lovely and the view was great. You could walk to Takachiho gorge and takachiho shrine. The owner was very helpful and reliable. I hope to come back and stay longer next time. Such a great memory~~

Very convenient walk to the gorge 5 mins) straight down the hill) Convenient walk (5 mins) to the cukture show. A little bit farther walk )10-20 mins) is needed to go into the city center. Futon was comfortable. We had a private toilet which was convenient but maybe not necessary. Shared showers were good. Clean, private, nice). Breakfast was coffee, tea, hardboiled egg and white bread toast. If there was fruit and yogurt it would have been better.
It is a little bit basic. Not old or run down. Just very basic. We paid 10k yen per night. I feel like 7k would have been a fair price.
