About this house rental
4/3 home. Sleeps 16. Master: King. 2nd bedroom: Full over Full bunk with a trundle. Twin over Twin bunk. 3rd bedroom: 2 Queens. 4th Bedroom: King and Twin over Twin Bunkbed. Living room: Sofa Sleeper. No pets. MUST BE 25 TO RENT. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented at check in or via email. In addition, the electronic rental agreement must be signed prior to check-in.
Newly built 2000 sq. ft. home between the 2nd and 3rd Crossing of the Guadalupe River that sleeps 16 with two master bedrooms, two guest rooms, and three bathrooms. Before stepping foot in the house, you'll know that this is the place to be with a fire pit in the yard (fire wood not provided) and walkway leading directly into the river. The home sits proudly atop piers with outdoor staircase leading to the porch overlooking the water. The upstairs porch boasts 180 degree view of the river, and full length sliding glass doors open up into the grand room of the house. This property is located next to Sons Guadalupe cabana & Glamping tent rentals.
The grand room has vaulted 18 ft. ceilings with windows all around. This open concept living area has all the comforts of home! The kitchen has all new appliances and comes fully equipped with cookware, dishes, and utensils. The dining table is perfect for you and your guests sharing a meal together after a day spent on the water! There's lots of space to recharge at the end of the day. The first master bedroom is right off the living room with king size bed, private porch access, river view, and en suite bathroom. The first master bath has a double sink, walk in shower, and large closet. Past the grand room lies the rest of the rooms. The first guest room has a full over full bunk bed with a trundle as well as a twin over twin bunk. The second guest room has 2 queen beds. Both guest rooms have river views as well. The guest bathroom with a tub/shower combo is conveniently located by both guest rooms and near the living area. The second master bedroom has a king bed and twin bunk beds. This master room also has a private bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There is a sofa sleeper in the living room as well. All bathrooms come stocked with hotel size amenities, towels, and two rolls of toilet paper. High quality linens are provided for all beds and bathrooms. YouTube TV provided.
This home is located a door down from Sons Guadalupe, which is the perfect place to rent tubes and float away! There is entertainment for all up and down river road. Just a short drive to Gruene and downtown New Braunfels, which both offer fine dining establishments, entertainment, and numerous activities. Gruene Hall is the oldest dance hall in Texas and a famous landmark. Gruene also offers great shopping, restaurants and wine tasting. Close to the outlet malls, Schlitterbahn and Canyon Lake. Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. No pets allowed. This home has a maximum occupancy of 16 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. You can park 4-5 vehicles at this property. My wife and I stayed at Southern Comfort with my daughter, her husband and their kids, as well as my son, who was visiting from Los Angeles. There was plenty of space for us all. The location was great and it had easy access to the river. HEB, Gruene and New Braunfels were short, scenic drives away. I read reviews of people complaining about the lack of ceiling fans because of bunk beds. The master suite has a ceiling fan and all of the rooms have a box fan in the closet. That can save you some much needed space in the car. The kitchen is well stocked and there were plenty of towels for everyone. I had one problem, and I am partly to blame. I was carrying my granddaughter on the lower deck and I did not see that there was a step down as it looked like one level to me, and I fell with her. I would recommend a colored stripe or a sign to watch your step as the boards seem to blend together from one level to the next. There is one at the front door step, but it is getting worn. Other than that one incident, it was an awesome stay!

The house was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and bathing. The layout inside was spacious, and the house was beautifully decorated. We loved the big island in the kitchen. We hung out around that a lot. Plenty of games left by the owners for our kids. We had a problem with one shower that everybody was slipping in. I emailed the property’s maintenance, and it was taken care of quickly. The bunk room and two of the bedrooms needed ceiling fans in them. They were hotter than the rest of the house. We went and bought a box fan. The master bedroom stayed cold. The only downfall is the photos didn’t show that there is an adjourning property named Son’s Guadeloupe. It has tiki huts and glamping tents. On Saturday when we got there, of course, it was busy next door. By Sunday it cleared out. We got to watch them clean the porta potties each morning, thrill. The next-door property’s guests used our exit to get out of the water and walk across our grass. We didn’t care, though. The ants were a problem walking down to our river entrance, and the grass was high when we got there. They mowed by Monday. I have always been told to figure out the solution to your problem before you complain. Solution: mow before guests arrive, put ceiling fans up, maybe more cement down by the staircase before you enter the water since the ants were bad down there or treat for ants, Son’s next door...maybe just advertise that it is next door so it’s not a shocker.
