About this cottage rental

Piglet's House (private carpark) is fully contained on the ground floor, complete with all mod cons. The cottage is spacious, yet cosy as there is a log burning stove and full central heating. The accommodation comprises of a hallway, large bathroom including bath with shower over, double bedroom and a living room that is open plan with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with awesome views through the 9 foot wide patio sliding doors that open onto a balcony with seating and barbeque. Piglet's House is in the quiet village of Old Town which has its own (dog-friendly) pub, post office (for most provisions), cricket club, golf club, park and equestrian centre - all in easy walking distance. The views, peace and surroundings are unrivalled and despite all this, the much-loved and visited market town of Hebden Bridge is only just over a mile away. The town offers so much, from small shops of character to varied restaurants and exciting attractions. Settle in the heart of the Pennines!

Lovely little cottage at the bottom of the town in Barrass square …. So very close to the beach and pubs. Parking instructions very clear (recommend Jimmy Pink car park as it’s the closest as noted by the host), and you can drive down to quickly drop off/collect luggage before driving onto park. Cottage is a little dated in the decor and th cleanliness was very good. The patio area at the front could do with some attention with regards weeds and perhaps some outside cushions for the seats, as this is a lovely area to sit and relax and watch the sea and people exploring. Very satisfied with our stay and for the price and location it is highly recommended.

We had a really smooth stay in the cottage over bank holiday weekend. Gill and Nick were easy to communicate with and the cottage had everything we needed with a great view over the fields and valleys. We didn’t have a car but the walking routes up the hill were easy enough to follow, it takes about 20 minutes to get up from Hebden Bridge but it can be quite steep in parts. No problem with the right footwear.

A deceptively spacious cottage. The cottage had everything you could need. The host provided plenty of fuel for the log burner and extra touches like coffee pods, everything for washing up by hand or dishwasher so you don't need to take anything, tea, coffee and sugar, towels, and even a bottle of wine. Gill is so friendly and very helpful, even apologising for the weather! However, the best parts were the amazing views and all the animals. There were 3 horses, 5 pygmy goats and endless birds to watch. You can even hand feed the goats, goat food is also provided. All in all, a lovely relaxing weekend in beautiful surroundings.
