Absolute top accommodation: the hosts, location, spaciousness, lovely design and its very complete!

Such a great accommodation: very spacious nicely designed and bright room complete kitchen, super comfy shower and bed! We loved the location, right near where you want to be. Also, the parking option for the car was fantastic, very worth the extra bit of money. We enjoyed many restaurants, had great strolls around town and also into the region, it's all so easy to get around and the apartment, and its hosts top it off perfectly.

We really should have stayed longer to enjoy the apartment and the neighborhood even more, and so we will come back in spring of 2026.

A little gem in Maastricht

Besselaar Apartments is a fantastic choice for a lovely stay in Maastricht! We parked our car in the private car park at the back of the apartment, which is owned by the host — very convenient. From there, we explored the city on foot. The host was wonderful and gave us great recommendations for dinner. We enjoyed breakfast just around the corner at Koffie by Joost and Maartje — highly recommended if you’d like to treat yourself! The apartment is located close to the popular Onze Lieve Vrouweplein and offers a comfortable living room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. We feel there’s still more of Maastricht to discover and would definitely stay here again!

Location with parking option was great. Also comfortable bed and nice shower. Lots of light.

It was working around a bit with fridge in hallway and no sink in bathroom but a huge good sink in bedroom. View on parking lot but that meant it was quiet.

Beautiful apartment in a perfect location

The location was perfect and to have a parking space in Maastricht is a big bonus. It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and the owners are on site incase of any issues and available at anytime if you need them.

A superb apartment and highly recommended for visitors wanting to enjoy the delights of the old quarter of Maastricht.

This is a charming, very well appointed and comfortable apartment in the heart of the old quarter of Maastricht. It has been sensitively modernised including excellent kitchen facilities and equipment and the best shower in town! The bedroom has good cupboard space and a comfortable large bed. The location is perfect for visiting Maastricht on foot and secure parking can be provided.. The owners, who live on the premises, are warm, friendly and welcoming and always ready to help

Very central location to the city centre. 15mins walking mins from the train station. The apartment was spotless clean. Great host.

Lovely welcoming home from home

Michael and Linda were the nicest and most welcoming of hosts, they gave us tips about where to go to for food and drinks (all of which were great recommendations). Absolute pleasure to stay there, felt like a home from home. Great location for lots of sights, and great places to eat. City is beautiful and truly amazing and we will definitely be retuening and will stay here again and have already recommended it to friends!

A great stay.

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The apartment is well maintained and well appointed with everything to make a traveller comfortable during their stay. The plumbing was excellent. The location is perfect for wondering the city. The parking was also convenient. We had a very enjoyable stay.

I just wish they had a proper double bed. Twin beds together are not a sustitute for a good double bed. But this seems to be common practice in Maastricht hotels and apartments so I can't penalise Bresslar for this. Yet a double bed would have seen them score 10 all around.

Charming apartment in a beautiful part of the city, near many nice cafes and restaurants. We felt totally at home in this lovely, art-filled apartment. Comfortable and well-equipped, this was a great home base from which to explore the city and its surroundings. I would definitely book this apartment again if returning to Maastricht.

Great apartment with lots of character superbly located for visiting the city - the perfect getaway

Fast and friendly communication by the owner, with personal recommendations on the local area and a thoughtful gift on arrival. Flat was great, well appointed, lovely decor and quiet despite the very central location, one step away from cafes, shops and restaurants and a few minutes' walk from all main attractions and sites. Thank you for a flexible departure time, too. One of the best accommodations we have had in our city trips.

Michael is a very nice and helpful host. We really felt welcome and had a great time. The appartment and the house is absolutely stylish, technically modern and designed in a way which really corresponds with the historical flair of Maastricht. You can see that every detail is arranged with love and passion. The area where it's located is awesome and and you have a very nice view to the historical houses of Maastricht. My daughter sat hours in the bedroom window enjoy reading in the evening sun an listening to the sound of the river Jeker.

A gem in the heart of Maastricht

The apartment is well located, clean, fully equipped and stylish. The apartment is located in the heart of Maastricht and in a typical street of the city center: very practical and fascinating, yet not facing a heavy traffic area and so allowing for a peaceful stay. The apartment is equipped with all that you may need for your stay (and more as treats for the guests!!!) and has safety/emergency tools available. The place is charming because is part of a historical building (at list it looks like) and well renovated so that it does not look anonymous.

Fantastic location in a beautiful and lively part of the historic city. Friendly and helpful hosts. Comfortable and attractive apartment with views over street. Cooked our own breakfasts in the apartment and ate out for rest of meals in nearby cafes and restaurants. No washing machine but hosts put through a load of washing for us at no cost.

For guests with mobility issues, access could be a problem - apartment is on the first floor with fairly steep stairs. Host happily carried our suitcases up and down the stairs for us. Ensuite bathroom has 2 steps from bedroom.

A perfect base for exploring the unexpected delights of Maastricht

The apartment is located in one of the most beautiful and historic streets of the old quarter of Maastricht. A beautifully designed renovation brings the 17th century into the 21st and provides a warm and delightfully functional pied a terre. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the corner café/taproom and its expansive patio, found an extensive selection of top-notch restaurants nearby, and explored the market square and distinctive shopping districts surrounding the neighborhood. Maastricht is a supremely walkable city, and the apartment is perfectly situated to access attractions on foot, by bus, or train. The owners welcomed us warmly and their longstanding ties to the community enrich the stay. They were highly responsive to our specific questions in advance of our visit.

We decided to take a taxi from the train station because it seemed a little too daunting to locate the property after traveling overnight from the U.S. It might be helpful to provide more information on bus stops/bus lines nearby for travelers arriving by train, as the train/bus connection is quite convenient.

Een modern appartement in een klassiek pand. Comfortabel, rustig en toch op maar een steenworp afstand van het bruisende stadsleven van Maastricht.

Locatie top appartement verouderd

De ligging is super en kan niet beter. Midden in het centrum in de mooiste wijk!

Prima B&B en soort van schattig echter de locatie doet het in deze en niet het appartement. Verouderd, stoffig soort van in elkaar geknutseld. Geen airco dus snik heet in de zomer met het type ‘gordijnen’ die er voor waren geknutseld (te kort en te dun). Bank kun je niet normaal op zitten en helaas deed de tv het niet (echter voor ons geen probleem). Badkamer en bed ook soort van geknutseld. Bed lag prima en badkamer zat alles in echter heel erg klein en geen deur er in.

Merci à Mikael et Linda pour leur accueil. L'appartement très calme et au premier étage d'une maison. Les voitures ne circulant pas dans la rue où se trouve la maison c'est très calme et silencieux. Les pièces sont spacieuses et bien décorées.
