About this apartment rental
Cosy apartment with original flat and windows of 100 years ago, comfortable and spacious, ideal for groups of friends or families. It has a spacious and bright room with three single beds and view on the street for Colosseum and a comfortable double bedroom; the living room has LCD televisions with satellite channels and a sofa; the kitchen has a table for 5 people, is fully equipped with fridge, oven, microwave and LCD televisions with satellite channels..
The bathroom has a shower, bidet and washbasin.
The apartment is in a historic building located in the heart of ancient Rome, in front of the picturesque park of Trajan, with fantastic view of the Colosseum and the Fori Imperiali, in a unique position to enjoy the romantic and ancient Rome. Numerous local restaurants and cafes' in the neighborhood; bus and subway to 300 meters allow guests to easily reach any place in Rome. By walk is possible to reach the Colosseum, Roman Forum, the Capitol, the Basilica San Giovanni, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de 'Fiori, Isola Tiberina, Trastevere, Bocca della Verità. At 50 meters from the 'flat there is the public Park of Trajan with the possibility to spend pleasant leisure time sitting on a bench looking at the Colosseum;also in the park there is a children's playground and a public café.
With the presence of the owner you can take pictures of the beautiful city view from the terrace of the building.

Enzo was very helpful and readily available. He met us at the apartment to show us around and provided suggestions for local restaurants, stores, parking and arranged a taxi to the airport for us. The apartment is spacious but a few things to note. It does say so in the listing, but note that there is only one bathroom, which can be tricky for 4-5 people. During our stay the elevator was broken and the wifi was down neither of which was ideal. The neighborhood is lovely but if you plan to sightsee at the standard places, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Spanish steps, Vatican, etc. it is a bit of a distance away. It is very convenient to the Colosseum, restaurants and the train station.

Very large apartment with vintage charm in a preserved historic building next to a park on the site of Nero's villa, and just a few minutes walk to the Colosseum, Forum, Circus Maximus, and more. Very unique old apartment with one side looking over the street, the other into a courtyard. Nice little kitchen for simple meals and sipping coffee. Convenient to almost every neighborhood and historic site in central Rome, and just a few minutes walk to the Termini station. Plenty of groceries, cafes, and small shops within in an easy walking distance. The Colosseum can be seen from one of the windows, but the neighborhood feels removed from the relative chaos of the heavily touristed areas. Enzo was a super friendly, helpful, and easy to contact host. He always responded quickly and was accomidating to our travel plans.

This property is less than 500 yards from the Coliseum, and 200 yards from a taxi stand. If you want to call a cab to the front door, the house number is well known. Even if your only Italian language skills consist of spaghetti, lasagna, and pizza; you can easily spell the name of the street and they will find you. If you need to use the subway, the Vittorio Emanuele Station is about a half mile away or a 10 minute walk. On the subway you can easily reach the major attractions in less than thirty minutes. Along the walk to or from the subway, you will find all necessary retail outlets to enhance you stay in Rome.But the greatest attraction for this property is its owner, Enzo. He is a local. He can give you great advice regarding major attractions and local hangouts. He is a consummate patient professional. We were "Covid Cancelled" three times and each time he worked with us to reschedule our trip. We felt like we had become part of his family, and we were going to bring him a gift, but the airlines lost it in transit. In summation, it is a terrific property, in a terrific location, with great character, and a wonderful owner. When we go back to Rome, we will seek this accommodation again.
