Magnificent and spacious villa located in the beautiful town of Alhaurín el Grande, a short distance from Malaga International Airport and the best beaches in the province. The house has three large bedrooms, one of which also has a sofa bed, a second bedroom also with a double bed and a third bedroom with two bunk beds plus an extra bed. Large living room, separate kitchen, two bathrooms, one of them en suite, and a spectacular porch overlooking the countryside, the pool and the Sierra de Mijas. The house is fully equipped, has air conditioning, as well as central heating by boiler and radiators. Covered parking area for several vehicles. A fantastic covered barbecue with a large central table, pantry, iron, refrigerator, etc. 9 x 4 pool. Bathroom with shower in the pool area.
In the garden area there is play area for children with swings and porter and a table pin pin on the porch.

Very nice House and host. Always friendly and helpfull if any questions. Pool area has been renewed since the pictures. The small Water Fall is gone and Stones around the pool has been replaced with Wood alike planks. Pool and pool area was very clean and ready for use when we arrived. The inside of the House was also very clean and you Will find whatever you need in the kitchen. We Can only recommend this House and host.

The villa is set in quiet countryside, with wonderful views and a great pool. It is well equipped and Juan was easy to deal with, messaging via WhatsApp as soon as our initial booking was made and just prior to arrival to Confirm check-in arrangements. All in all, a fantastic stay.

The property was advertised with aircon. This didn’t work in the master bedroom and although we reported it straight away was not fixed for the entire stay. So we didn’t have a good night sleep in two weeks. Totally unacceptable. However this wasn’t the only problem or irritation. The hot water system is terrible it didn’t work at all when we arrived but this was fixed quickly. However even when fixed it was unacceptable taking up to 10 mins from when you turn the shower on to when the hot water arrives!! There were lots of other issues too. The master bedroom stank of drains when we arrived. Seemingly this was because previous visitors flushed paper down the loo. Not sure if this is true or not. The smell came and went with no obvious reason. The drain in the shower had a non fitting cover which was a serious slip hazard. The other shower the handles fell of the door. Many wardrobes did have all the handles and the towel holder fell apart if you breathed on it. The main double bed is two singles which are not attached so slide apart in the night if you go over the middle. The air con (the bits that do work) is on a timer so it turns off every 2 hours. However you can change this setting in the fuse box thankfully. The state of the kitchen equipment was another serious let down. Everything is in poor condition from knives that have broken handles and are not sharp, a broken corkscrew, there were only 3 bowls when we arrived and one of those cracked in the dishwasher. Juan did get us some more but everything re plates cups Bowles glasses, wine glasses, utensils etc was in a bad state many of them are damaged and need replacement. None of it matches, it looks like a collection of left over bits and pieces. The sink was blocked and the plug didn’t even fit. The iron didn’t work and the washing line had 2 of its for lines missing, no problem there was a drying rack, but this had been repaired and was in danger of falling apart. There is a table tennis table but this has a massive crack in it, which I was worried my kids would make worse (thankfully the didn’t). The pool area has been improved since the pictures were taken but there is no privacy around the pool, some screening would have been nice ax you can very easily see the neighbours drive by ( the neighbours all have some sort of screening around their pools). At least 2 of the 4 the sun loungers gets are falling apart and not safe. More issues but I have run out of space. WASP PROBLEM

We absolutely loved this property, particularly the terrace and pool which were beautiful and extremely relaxing. Could do with a little TLC around the outdoor kitchen area which had potential to be a great selling point but left us a little disappointed, broken furniture, damaged sun loungers, gas hob being disconnected as examples. The indoor kitchen however was very well equipped with everything you could need. Juan was very helpful when we reported the boiler had gone down, fixed at earliest opportunity. The lack of hot water was a problem when we had additional guests staying with us. Juan also took great pride in making sure the pool was clean and maintained for our entire three week stay! Our little one absolutely loved playing there all day. We were gutted to have to leave and would love to come back next summer

Really enjoyable stay in a lovely villa

We had a great family holiday here. We arrived late at night but communication with Juan before we travelled was perfect. He sent a video on how to get access and where to get the keys so when we arrived with 2 very tired children we knew exactly how to get in without any fuss. The villa itself is lovely and has some great views in the distance when sitting on the veranda. The children loved the pool and exploring the garden. The swing and table tennis also kept them entertained. Whilst based in a remote location it is still only a short drive to supermarkets and restaurants and was an ideal base for our day trips out. Juan was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely look to come back again soon.

The house was generally spacious and comfortable with a lovely large terrace and beautiful swimming pool. The kitchen is well equipped although it lacked cleaning products and oven gloves. Overall the facilities are suitable for a group or family. The house is more suited to a summer vacation than a winter stay because the hot water is a problem in that it is not sufficiently hot and takes a while to come through to the tap. Also the radiators didnt seem to work throughout the house (we didnt know how to turn them on), therefore the bedrooms and bathroom were a bit chilly in March during our holiday. The living room is warm if you switch on the pellet burner. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

As a family of 6 we found the space at the villa fantastic! There is plenty of room everywhere.... the terrace with the table tennis was an excellent place for us all to gather, eat, relax and enjoy some quality family time together. The pool and outbuildings were in good condition and the whole area was very secure and peaceful. The host is a lovely guy and nothing was too much trouble for him. If we had any questions regarding the villa and the surrounding area he was quick to reply and his knowledge was most grateful. Thank you for everything!

The villa is in a great location- only half an hour from Malaga airport. It is quiet and peaceful. The outside space is wonderful and comfortable for relaxing and dining. The pool was perfect and the swings and football net were good fun. The villa and grounds were very clean and well cared for. Getting hot water was a problem. Waiting 5 minutes or more for it to come through was ok but any slight adjustment resulted in it going cold and having to wait again. The bathroom was a bit smelly (drains?) sometimes The gravel road to the villa is very uneven with many deep potholes. Despite the negatives we had a great holiday.

The Villa is well equipped for a family holiday. It is well maintained and there is plenty to do - excellent pool and pool house, table tennis and green area for ball games etc. The owners are really helpful and reply quickly to any questions. The bedrooms are lovely and large and kitchen had everything we needed.The town is a few minutes drive away where it was easy to park and find many great places to eat out. A great place for a relaxing family holiday.

There is a serious ants problem. Ants circulate almost everywhere: in kitchen cabinets on the counter in the bathroom, and even in bedrooms. Problems in the sewage pipes. Water in the shower does not descend and cause flooding. The kitchen sink is barely clogged with water. The landlord tried to fix the problem but it did not help much. He asked us not to spill coffee into the sink. Also the toilet paper after use is forbidden to throw into the trash. Hot water is not in sequence. It takes about 2 minutes until hot water comes out and then they continue to flow for a minute until they return to be cold and back again. A rickety dirt road of 1 km from the main road to the house. There are no garbage bins for evacuation outside the house. You have to drive 2 kilometers from home get rid of the garbage. Tumble dryer - not dryer. The owner says laundry can be hung on the line. Close to the house locate doghouse. Sometimes they bark in the middle of the night and wake you up from sleep.

We have only just come back and have already booked to return next year! On arrival we were met by Juan who showed us around the villa and also told us where to go for our weekly shop - The local supermarket is about a 5 min drive which has everything we needed and more. The villas itself is nice and clean, we stayed there for 7 days and it had everything we needed - plenty of space, lovely pool and good facilities. Juan was on hand to offer advice if required through Whatsapp and was happy to assist when we asked. We would highly recommend this to anyone - we are a young family and had a great time staying here.

Die Villa haben wir wie beschrieben vorgefunden. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber verlief sehr gut. Sobald etwas kaputt war, hat er sich schnellstmöglich darum gekümmert. Die Villa war größtenteils so wie im Inserat beschrieben. Man könnte mal neue Fotos von der Villa fertigen, da sich einzelne Bereiche leicht verändert haben. Ein Mietwagen ist aufgrund der Lage unverzichtbar. Bis zum Meer dauerte es leider ca. 30 Minuten mit dem Auto, jedenfalls wenn man keinen Schleichweg kennt. Auch Supermärkte und Tankstellen sind zu Fuß eher schwierig zu erreichen. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt und würden die Villa weiterempfehlen.

A environ 30 min en voiture de Malaga, à l’écart dans les montagnes mais facilement accessible en voiture. La maison offre une très belle vue sans vis à vis direct. Juan répond très rapidement sur WhatsApp et à su répondre très vite à ma demande lorsque je lui ai demandé un lit pour bébé. Le coin piscine avec sa cuisine d’extérieur sont très bien exposés. Proche d’un petit centre ville à 5 min en voiture pour faire les courses, resto, tabac etc. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour. Merci !

We hebben een fijne vakantie gehad. Goede communicatie met Juan. Echter wat er ook in de voorgaande recensies te lezen valt zijn er nog genoeg punten van verbetering. Ik lees meerdere keren probleem is verholpen of opgelost maar feitelijk zijn alle problemen zoals eerder in andere recencies omschreven nog steeds aanwezig en voor verbetering vatbaar. Hoop dat Juan deze alsnog beetpakt. Ondanks deze dingen hebben wijzelf een fantastische vakantie gehad. Voor herhaling vatbaar. Juan erg veel dank voor het huren van de woning.

Prima verblijf ongeveer 30 min van Malaga in de bergen. Het verblijf voldoet aan alle vereiste, maar kan hier en daar wel wat bijgeschaafd worden (bijvoorbeeld de temperatuur van het water in de douche schiet er soms uit). Het koppel dat de woning managed spreekt geen Engels, maar zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Villa Ana was the perfect vacation home for us!

The house is located very private and has the most amazing views! The children and my husband and I enjoyed most of the ones that were outside by the pool with amazing scenery. The decoration and furniture are well maintained. This really made the experience complete! Also, everything was only a few minutes away by car and, when we wanted to have a drink, the taxi trips could easily be ordered. Thanks to Juan, we knew where to find the best restaurants and they were all very good and very close. The welcome was warm and the operation of the house was explained in detail in English and in a very friendly manner. Also during our stay, Juan and his team remained attentive and professional for all our questions and wishes. We hope to return here again in the future!

The house is clean and has 3 bathrooms (one outside next to the pool). The view is spectacular from both the patio and the swimmingpool area. We loved the place near the swimmingpool with outside kitchen and BBQ. The house is clean and includes all necessary kitchen equipment. As the house is situated in the countryside, roosters and dogs can make some noise at night and ants will find their way to any food laying around, so make sure to clean tables etc. after breakfast, lunch or dinner! Juan is very helpful whenever guests might need any help or support. I recommend this house to everyone!

Nous avons passé deux semaines dans cette villa (3 adultes, 2 enfants) et nous n'en retenons que du positif. La propriété a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un agréable séjour. Très bien équipée (y compris tout ce qu'il faut pour un bébé) et très bien entretenue, on a vraiment apprécié le confort que la villa offrait. Les fenêtres équipées de moustiquaires nous ont permis de laisser entrer l'air et de rester à l'abri des moustiques durant tout notre séjour. Les salles de bains et cuisines sont fonctionnelles et présentent tout le nécessaire. Et bien sûr, la piscine... nous avons adoré ! La localisation est parfaite pour découvrir la région tout en étant au calme. Le village, avec tout type de commerces, est tout proche. La plage est très accessible, tout comme les villes, villages et attractions touristiques aux alentours. De plus, le propriétaire, Juan, a mis tout en œuvre pour que nous passions un séjour parfait ! Très sympathique, disponible, à l'écoute et très arrangeant, il a sans aucun doute contribué à la réussite de nos vacances ! Merci encore, Juan !! Bref, une super expérience ! Nous recommandons cette propriété et espérons pouvoir y retourner un jour.

We' ve booked this house for 1 weeks from feb 4th to 11th. It is a very nice and really quiet place with everything you need spending a great vacation. The landlord where we ' ve booked were very nice and helpful. We were allowed to reap fruits from the yard. It was great. Grocery stores like mercadona, Aldi and Lidl were to be reached in about 10 minutes by car. It is a great starting point for activities and to go to all directions of Andalucia. We've had a wonderful time. Thank you very much!

Overpriced and over-rated

When you pay this amount for a holiday rental, you expect everything to be perfect. Especially in the light of the 38 five-stars ratings from previous guests. But this was not the case. 1. According to the website, the owner is “fluent in english”. This is clearly NOT true. This was a major source of misunderstandings, that only made things worse, whenever a problem popped up. 2. On our arrival day, we were told that we should not throw used toilet papers in the toilets, but in a garbage bag that then was to be disposed, in a garbage can that is in the village 2 km away. This was kind of shocking to us. We never heard of anything like that. It was not advertised on the website nor on the contract neither in the 38 five-stars ratings, which sounds weird. We finally found in the local supermarket some tissues claimed to be WC compatible, that we used. To this day, we still do not understand why the owner did not simply advertised for this solution... 3. There were zillions of ants that appeared in the house as soon as a small bit of anything edible was left. 4. The neighborhood was not that nice. There were many houses around including one in construction just in front of us and lot of dogs in those houses, barking day and night. To access the property, you have to drive slowly for more than 5 minutes on a dirt, bumpy road that is even not recognized as a road by the GPS. 5. A couple of things were not working properly, for example the freezer in the kitchen that was at -8°C instead of -20°C, or one of the showers that was kind of clogged. 6. There was a timer that cut the air conditioning after a very small amount of time, which we were not made aware of. 7. External contractors intervened on the property three times a week. Per contact, we should have been informed upfront of their presence in the house, which was not the case. 8. The day we left, the owner showed at 8h30 pm, and started cleaning around with noisy apparatus while per contract we had to leave at 10 pm. He refused to do a final walk through to make sure everything was in order. So we had to leave without knowing if we could get our deposit back (which in the end we did). 9. In the end, the house was big, much was working, and the pool was cool. For half the price it would have been worth the 38 five-stars ratings from previous guests.

Great villa exactly as described, fantastic amenities and lots for the kids to do. Would definitely recommend hiring a car as the Villa is a good 5 mins drive from the bars and restaurants. Juan was a godsend and there to assist with any queries we had. The villa catered for all ages but was especially great for kids with all the little additional touches, plastic cutlery, glasses and plates etc. A good DVD range and board games meant there was always something to do even on the one cloudy day we had. The kitchen had all the modcons meaning that mealtimes were super easy even for 10 of us! Fantastic holiday all round will definitely book again.

Skønt hus liggende 20 min fra Malaga lufthavn. Huset har en fantastisk beliggenhed på en bjergtop, så der er ingen forstyrrelser fra naboer og udsigten er bjergtagende hele dagen. Logistikken fungerede godt fra første færd, men vil anbefale at man bliver hentet på Repsol tanken som tilbudt. Det fungerede godt. Der er 3 soveværelser og 3 badeværelser. Alt tænkeligt udstyr i huset og en super lækker terrasse med forskellige bordopstillinger til dagens måltider. Kan varmt anbefales.

Not our first time at this villa, but each time we revisit, it gets better and better. A stunning piece of architecture is continually being enhanced by the maturing gardens, which also provide shade, tranquility and a moving backdrop to the uninterrupted views from every angle. Location, location, location ........... The villas itself never disappoints; comfy beds, sparkling bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, terraces and indoor spaces to suit family gatherings or romantic encounters. Wi-if keeps you informed or amused and impressively is pretty reliable. If you contact the owners directly they will invariably offer you the best deal as well as personalise your stay, and welcome you to the Soñana family. It puts a big smile on yer face :))

Net terug van een weekverblijf met 3 jonge kinderen. Huis heeft veel buitenruimte en de pingpongtafel werden afgewisseld met een duik in het zwembad. Het bed voor de ouders had qua lengte wat langer gemogen, onze voeten staken nu uit. Ook een gebruiksaanwijzing van gebruiken zou handig zijn zoals het wegbrengen van de vuilnis. Veder is het strand te adviseren net als een bezoek aan mijas en de kids vonden aqualand ook super. Een heerlijke en mooie omgeving en in het dorpje nog echt de Spaanse sfeer te proeven.

Twee weken verbleven we in deze villa in de meivakantie. Hele fijne tijd gehad!Mooie tuin, veranda, zwembad ( middels poort af te sluiten) buitenkeuken, prachtig uitzicht, rustig gelegen maar centraal tov snelwegen en AirPort en diverse steden. Toegangsweg naar huis is onverhard en met wat kuilen maar huis is goed bereikbaar. Geen overlast van deze weg gehad. Nauwelijks verkeer, alleen bestemmingsverkeer. Veel voorzieningen in huis aanwezig. Douche op gasfles die dezelfde dag wordt vervangen als hij leeg is. Even wennen: toiletpapier mag niet door wc. Verder: snelle en heldere communicatie met eigenaar! Een aanrader en komen er graag nog een keer want genoeg te zien in prachtig Andalusie!
