Adorable ducks!

The location was quiet and peaceful. There were several (free) activities on offer.; kayaking, fish feeding etc. I especially loved the ducks and the early morning egg collection. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Yah and Ya. Definitely recommended.

The restaurant menu was not varied enough, it needed more favouriteThai options. More sun loungers around the pool.

Piece of Paradise

What a fantastic piece of paradise. We had the best time of our vacation in Blu Monkey. The whole complex is a marvellous sanctuary in the middle of the jungle. The room was nice, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Loved the event they organised during our stay.

Secure the steps next to the pool as they can get slippery. That’s all.

An ideal place to stay and enjoyed the natural green surroundings.

Everything was lovely. Especially the natural surroundings and kayaking. Pool table and table tennis were great to have. Our chalet was beautiful. Highly recommended, was a local Thai lady’s garden where she invites visitors for free to browse and sample her fruits. Her home was about a 5 minute taxi ride away. Being located outside of the surrounding towns makes it a lot camer. Easy (15-20 mins) access to all main points of interest in the area.

Great apartment comfy bed and lovely jungle feel.Pool really good to swim lengths.good wifi Great that we could play pool and table tennis and the place was quiet.

Didn't allow us to take bicycles out of the complex.no grab ot taxis although Ya took us to 7 eleven and a look out point for free and was lovely.the mart was a clothes and nic nac shop, no groceries sold.

Lots of activities to do. Most of the activities were free like pool, games, ping-pong, kayaking, towels etc. Really nice outdoor spaces and good overall vibe. Bedroom and bathroom were new and modern.

It's not just a hotel, it's a very special experience.

It's not just a hotel, it's a very special experience. Starting with an overly comfortable bed and an impressive blanket, and ending with a river where you can skate like you're a child. The design is great and the place is so wild! Delight. A lot of excitement.

Amazing zen place!

Amazing accomodation, with great breakfast. The smell of fresh flowers and trees, the wonderful nature all around us, the curious monkey at our door, the pool, the clean alleys, everything made our stay delightful. A zen place that is more quiet than I had expected in the middle of nature. No noisy birds or cars at nights like we had in accomodations that we thought would be quiet. We would definetely come back.

They tried (they insisted quite a lot) to make us pay 1200 TBH for extra sheets, although we had reserved an apartment villa for 3 already.

Great facilities, in a natural reserve.

Great facilities and amazing staff, thank you Ya and Yah, very attentive and friendly great with the kids too. The little kittens and ducks were a great touch just what the kids needed, a reset with nature. Collected duck eggs and fried them for breakfast.

Beautiful unique paradise away from the hustle and bustle

Secluded paradise in a gorgeous lush green setting. Wonderful freshwater creek to paddle in, great pool, the grounds are large and stunning to walk around with lots of seating placed in different areas for relaxing. It's cooler too and protected from the sun but still perfectly warm. Amazing surroundings and they keep the grounds very well maintained. Restaurant/ cafe makes excellent food. We loved our 1 bedroom villa which was a suite, the "kitchen" though was outdoors so we didn't use it, and there's only a fridge and kettle not a microwave so a bit limited. There's so much humidity everywhere it's hard for the showers and bathrooms to be pristine which we understand but they could be updated or regrouted. Nice small outdoor playset for young kids. Great community outdoor room with pool table, table tennis, water cooler, etc. Very fun to feed the fish and ducks.

The very kind and friendly staff speak very little english so it's hard to communicate, though there was an event during our stay so I think the better english-speaking members were off site. It's remote which is great but you have to call for taxis well in advance as the grab app won't pick up from this location, but it's easy from town to get one back to hotel. They have a nice cafe with a great menu and do room service but very limited options if you're vegetarian - same goes for the breakfast (and if vegan you would really struggle). However the food is excellent and very well presented. There's a 7-11 about 5 mins drive but you'll need the staff to take you, or you can ride the bikes they have which my husband did but I wouldn't feel safe doing. If you want a lot of food options buy them in the town, the 7-11 and nearby market is limited. We never got the Netflix on the TV to work but I'm sure it does, it's the kind of place for a digital detox anyhow.

Different kind of accommodation, nice views.

Amazing scenery, loved the free use of the kayak’s, pool table & table tennis. Free pool towels, you could also do painting/colouring near reception which was a cool feature (not free). Staff were friendly enough. Little bit out of the way, we knew this & rented a moped so wasn’t an issue.

Bathroom is not laid out realistically, when you have a shower as the shower screen isn’t big enough the whole of bathroom floor gets wet - extremely annoying. TV also didn’t have any English channels, after a long day, it’s nice to relax & watch the TV. No outdoor furniture at our property but the same type of property next door did? Toilet kept getting blocked, even when it was only waste & no toilet paper - annoying.

Great place! clean, beautiful, fun. The river on the property was amazing. they give you kayaks and tubes which is so fun. we saw squirrels, monkeys and birds. food was great! the jungle was breathtaking. the attention to details was special.

the place was pet friendly, but the staff was afraid of our dogs which made us a bit uncomfortable. also, they didn't give us free toiletries like toothbrush, which was a bit weird. but still an amazing place.

Got poisoned in the restaurant. Ordered BBQ set, at first they brought raw meat, after I asked to cook it, they cooked seemed in a microwave or something like that. As a result we got poisoned after eating that meat. Also as a minus: the bathrooms definitely need a renovation.

we had a great experience during our stay at the blue monkey pooltara. from the first moment we felt a good spirit from the exceptionell great staff from the hotel. we had a very clean and perfect equipped bungalow, clean fresh air , beautiful nature and a great location to relax. Breakfast was also very very good, the staff was always alround to offer a great service and help you out and fullfill special wishes. Nice place to stay

The hotel is in the nature surrounded by big trees and has many facilities.The staffs are friendly and helpful. They let me early checkin and suggested the hospital for me since I had high fever during the stay. Also, I requested to order congee which is not in the menu but they made for me. In the morning, the staff followed up with my fever whether I had recovered or not or whether I needed anything else. Such a nice place with great service-mind staffs. I also love their breakfast that arranged in vintage style. I will come back here for my next trip in Krabi.

The property is in the middle of a lush, green small tropical forest. We stayed in two nice cottages, decorated with taste. Good quality beds, air conditioning and nice terrace. Diverse breakfast, lots of choices. Helpful, kind personnel.

Perfect

All of it , we loved the atmosphere, the pools and cafe. It felt like luxury , and so green and tropical.

We loved all , we hired a car so the location worked well, you can see the dramatic landscape from the resort, and only 15 mins from the coast, driving was very easy, roads were empty ( it’s august so I am not sure if this changes in high season)

Wonderful place with a fresh water emerald pool.

The location. The freshwater stream that runs through the property. I booked this place specifically for that. You can swim and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The rooms were good and comfortable and the grounds/gardens are spacious. You can walk around the property and admire the nature around. We saw a very very interesting pink small snake. As wildlife enthusiasts we love this kind of sightings. Anyone who comes here needs to remember and understand that nature is bigger than all humans and we should respect it and leave it untouched and not destroyed. The little cafe on site is also nice.

Everything was good. The only thing I didn't like is having kayaks in the water for other guests to use. The problem here is people tend to injure and harm nature/eco systems. A Chinese family went kayaking in this beautiful stream muddying the water, hanging on the lianas and causing damage to the under water rock formations and ecology. I would rather promote kayaking tours to Ao Thalane pier (which is absolutely amazing) and only have the stream for people to swim and enjoy. The distance to kayak in this beautiful stream is a maximum 150m which is not worth the damage. Therefore conservation efforts can be improved to protect this emerald pool-like stream. And I hope future guests will opt out to kayak but rather enjoy swimming and relaxing.

Beautiful!

Amazing bungalows in a beautiful, green and quiet place. The river next to the pool is a beauty. Refreshing and good for a short trip on the kayak. The stuff was also amazing. And if you are looking for a good coffee just go to their own cute little coffee right next to the river. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The calmness comes with a bad flexibility if you dont have a car or scooter.

Book a week here, we wish we did. Great swimming and eating without going anywhere. Super relaxing.

Loved the traditional Thai breakfast, really a highlight of our trip, beautiful curries, kebabs, roti, salads, Thai deserts, we felt so spoiled. The bird life was fabulous and spying a water monitor was a treat, the surrounds of lime stone cliffs, stunning gardens and a natural spring make this location super special. This place is a little out of your way but highly recommend making the effort, the swimming spot alone is worth the trip. Kae looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed. The on-site cafe with incredible cakes and coffee was an unexpected bonus.

A couple of doors could have shut a little tighter. Otherwise our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer.
