A lovely cottage.

Loved the peace and quiet this property offered. Had a great nights sleep every night. No street lighting shining in the windows. Comfortable beds and a good shower. Nice to have the bath too. The views of the surrounding area and sea were great, especially at night. Garden table and 6 chairs provided. Felt as though we were in the countryside, but, it was only a few mins drive into Prestatyn which has plenty of shops, cafes etc and is central for sightseeing around the area and for walks. Lovely beach a few mins drive away.The cottage was well appointed and having the washing machine was great for a longer stay. The carport and the steps to the house are well lit at night(on motion sensors) The host also offered an earlier checkin which we took advantage of. Would stay again.

The parking area is a little tricky for a bigger car, which the host did point out. We have a Volvo XC 60 which fitted under it fine. We just took it slowly and parked into the carport at an angle. Reversing out the carport and driving along the road a little bit, you are able to turn and then drive back out to the road again. (The turn is into another property but the owner is accommodating.) Once you get used to it, its fine. The 3 steps to the upper level of the garden to the front door could be tricky for some as there is no handrail. The dining table is sticky, and even after cleaning remains so. Think it needs sanding and revarnishing. None of this spoilt our stay though, as we all thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

Lovely presented and positioned property with sea views.

The cottage is in a lovely position, with a great view overlooking Prestatyn. 3 large bedrooms with quality bedding. Having bath and shower is great, especially with young children. Free WiFi is very useful. The sunset of an evening sat outside is stunning, table and chairs are provided. The kitchen is well equip if you wish to cook, however there is plenty of takeaways nearby. Having the use of the washing machine was also great. Close to Rhyl and other areas to explore.

The lane to access the property is narrow and manoeuvring into the parking space under the property would be tricky if you had a large car/SUV so bare in mine when booking - worth it for the view though! A couple of blankets for sitting outside of an evening would have been nice.

Hillside Cottage

At Hillside's cottage, the views are spectacular, looking out to sea sitting on the patio area of an evening.. Inside you can still see out to sea from the living room, dining room and the two bedrooms upstairs. The bedrooms were very spacpuis and the beds were very comfortable. It did go a little cold one one of the evenings, so we did have to put the heating on which was controlled by ourselves and not on a timer.

I received an email from the owner to state that there will not be any tea, coffee, or milk provided at the property due to allergies, which in all properties i have rented do supply at least milk. I feel that the cottage could have been cleaned better as there were spiders and webbs in every the dining room table was sticky and dirty. I did want to cook dinner, but only 2 saucepans were provided, which I feel that more saucepans would benefit, especially when there are four people

A perfect place for beaches, ramblers and shoppers.

The views are truly amazing, it's worth the price alone. The place is spotlessly clean, everything is at hand, perfect for a family or three couples, unfortunately it was still a bit chilly in the evening but I can imagine long summer evenings drinking in the ever changing view and chatting with friends over a nice beverage. Big thanks to our hosts, we will be back.

Perhaps the only item I'd bring attention to is the drop from the patio to the garden area, maybe a balustrade could be fixed along the edge? Also a handrail from the upper section to the garage would be helpful. We knew the area and it's available on Google maps so we headed strait there but it can be a little difficult to find as there are three grit boxes and the one by the lane is obscured by a car parking there, use what 3 words, notifying.boot.rewarded.

All 6 of us agreed beds were comfy.. View is amazing Grandson loved front garden If you want a pint the fox crosses pub 10 mins down the hill is a really friendly pub. Hillside cottage had everything we needed for a short break, it was very clean and comfortable, warm and cosy! The views were absolutely stunning, overlooking the sea. It was a perfect base for us to visit family and friends in the area. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. We will be back!

The property was lovely, cosy and clean. Comfy beds, and an exceptional view - perfect to look out on with a morning coffee!

Some throws/blankets, and plumper cushions on the sofas would have added that extra edge of comfort for in the evenings. Parking - not the easiest to manoeuvre into, and maybe 2 cars would have been a stretch - but private and well lit parking is always an added bonus

Lovely cottage with stunning views

Lovely cottage in a quiet hillside area with superb views across prestatyn and the north wales coast. Close to beautiful walks & beaches (we loved Talacre beach & dunes just 10 mins away). Everything we needed for a short winter break! Nice and warm, cosy and great facilities. Good communication from the owners who were awesome enough to let us check in early. Overall, an amazing & stress free short break in a beautiful place. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing we didn't like, however the parking is tight, so take it easy on the small access lane leading to the cottage (and watch the pot holes!) If I was very picky, the sofa's in the living room were a bit uncomfortable with a very low back and there are a few areas that could do with a fresh touch up of paint, but that is being very picky - in no way did it detract from our overall enjoyment of our break

Superb

The property was absolutely perfect for a short break away while attending the nearby Open Championship in Hoylake. The views and location of the property are stunning, and the area is very peaceful. The property has all the necessary facilities, and the rooms are clean and comfy. Access was super easy, and communication with the host was excellent. Wifi was provided free of charge and was ample for our trip needs.

The living room sofas were okay but not necessarily comfy for long periods of time. My father is over 70, and he found them a little uncomfortable. Also, there is only one toilet located upstairs, which means that when staying with others, you have to time toilet breaks and limit bathroom activity. There were also not many obvious places to put down drinks and or food when sitting in the living room. A small coffee table would have made a great addition. Finally, the access hill is steep and windy (albeit breathtaking too) and the parking room is good but quite tight for a larger vehicle. We managed with one Volvo XC90 but anything larger than that or multiple cars much bigger than a Ford Focus would struggle I think. The property do mention this but it's well worth being aware of prior to your arrival.

A good and honest review - lovely stay

Loved the outside area, but didn't get to enjoy it much because of the rain. It was spacious enough for 2 small families, a group of 7.

The parking was tight, but thats understandable considering the location. Also getting there was a bit scary, and the automatic stair lights not working didnt help, but Ian did say he would come and have a look at it, but we didn't want to bother.
