The location is the best possible for Ortigia. The managers were immediately responsive when we had a problem with the air conditioning. The apartment is great for a few days. An extremely welcoming supply of coffee, tea, snacks, milk, even grapes in the fridge. The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable, three separate bathrooms!
A few quirky things, no electric kettle so you need to boil water on the gas, the water flow in the taps is erratic, stops and starts but gets there in the end. In the corridor between the rooms there's a timer on the lights so you need to press it again every few minutes. No common sitting area except for this corridor so that's a problem. The flat is a bit dark, no light from the windows gets in, feels a bit like a cellar.
