Off the western tourist beaten path and a feel of true Japanese hospitality. The food was good and the serenity of the location was appreciated. It was autumn and the trees were changing and you could hear the elk bungling from the forest.
The onsen was nice but not spectacular.

Suburb location on the lake. A little out of the way but worth it as nestled on the lake with amazing views. Room was comfortable but a little overheated for us and due to insects we couldn’t open windows. The cruise around the lake is worth it to get a sense of the size ( no English translation). Good onsen and food was delicious. Staff welcoming.

It's a beautiful location. Mr. Chiba at the front desk is most helpful. Lovely lake view.
Food only okay. You had to make up your own futon bed.

Great Lake view and very helpful staff and great food.
the rooms are a bit old and everything is a bit outdated. I booked it for seeing the igloo but unfortunately when we arrived the festival haven’t started :(
