The staff was wonderful and helpful. I was worried as a vegetarian about meal options, and the food was incredible, far exceeded expectations. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to a national park, and it was perfect since I did not have a car. I loved being able to dip in the onsen between meals and after hikes. Beautiful view from the room.
This hotel will more than provide your needs, but it does look a bit dated.

Gorgeous setting right on the lake. Meals were fantastic, dinner was a pre-set menu and staff kept bringing us dishes all of which were delicious although I couldn't say what they were with my limited Japanese. Check-in staff spoke good English and we loved the gift shop. Excellent onsen and generously sized rooms.
The futons were very thin but we still slept well.

Friendly and great staff. Hotel and onsen were very clean and well maintained. Food variety was great and exceeded expectations. Great location to drive out to see stars around the hotel. Great outdoor onsen to enjoy the lake view.

Great Lake view and very helpful staff and great food.
the rooms are a bit old and everything is a bit outdated. I booked it for seeing the igloo but unfortunately when we arrived the festival haven’t started :(
