About this villa rental

Situated in an ideal location with a breathtaking view, over one of the most picturesque glacial lakes of Central Northern Italy, Villa La Briciola was re-built on the site of a medieval Hunting Pavilion at 500m (approx.) above sea level.

Large outdoor space with private pool and play area. Fast WiFi is included.

The property is located at 12 Km (10 miles) from the Franciacorta Golf Club, and the Strada del Vino - Wine Tasting Route.

We had a brilliant time at this beautiful spot! The location was great - Sulzano is a lovely little town and we enjoyed getting ferries over to the island and the various villages around. Really handy having the train station nearby too, with easy access for day trips to Verona and Milan. Steep climb back up to the villa from Sulzano, but only a 20-25 minute walk and you can jump in the pool straight after! Other reviewers mentioned the traffic noise but we really didn’t notice it after the first day - it didn’t affect our stay at all. The kitchen is quite small, but well equipped and we chose to do all our cooking and food prep outside so it wasn’t an issue for us. The BBQ was brilliant and the balcony and garden were lovely to spend time in and there are stunning views of the lake below - sunsets were incredible! Great communication from both the host and the local contact. Would recommend!

Wonderful old villa with fantastic views up and down Lake Iseo. Easy to ask questions before and during our stay with excellent recommendations for local restaurants. Pool is well maintained and very welcome in the August heat.

Fabulous views

Fabulous views

Amazing views in a fabulous setting. Other reviewers noted traffic noise, which we really did not notice at all. Garden is huge and so is the swimming pool. Three places to sit and eat which was lovely. Yes the kitchen is small, however it has everything you need, and as we were outside most the time, it did not cause any problems. Licia and Barbara were extremely helpful and quick to respond to all my questions. Fabulous week had by all with some amazing lightening storms in the evening.

We had a wonderful week at Villa la Briciola. The grounds are beautiful and we all enjoyed the pool and table tennis. The only downfall of the property was that the road below the villa was rather noisy. Licia and Barbara were both really helpful. Overall, a great time had.

Nice house with a beautiful view of the lake. Garden and swimming pool is excellent. The villa is clean and comfortable. The owner is very helpful and quick to respond to questions. The villa is in a great location for exploring the lake and the nearby monte isola. The only small issue we had was during a couple of very hot evenings we slept with the bedroom windows open and the nearby main road was very noisy. Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend this villa.

Enchanting villa get away! Just as described in the listing. We were there to see the Christo Exhibit - which meant that there were 10's of thousands of people arriving each day making the usually quiet town of Sulvano extremely busy and often chaotic with the bustle of visitors. However, we felt buffered from the crowds in our wonderful centrally located villa. Each day we appreciated our accommodations more! The view was unbelievable - with mountains and lake visible across our front terrace. Also - Licia was available and helpful throughout our stay via email and phone. The housekeeper checked in with us regularly and provided help with any questions we had about navigating the area. We would stay here again. Thank you Licia for sharing your family home!

Very nice stay. Clean house with a nice garden. The terrace with beautiful view over the lake was perfect for nice meals. The kitchen is small but well equipped so perfect for home made cooking. The house keeper helped us a lot. Take time for a boat trip to Monte Isola.

Villa Briciola is located above the town of Sulzano and has stunning views over Lago D'Iseo. The town is quiet and unspoiled by tourism. It has bars and convenience stores. A regular ferry service connects Sulzano to Monte Isola, which has a range of excellent cafes and restaurants. The island has many walks on paved roads and is suitable for cycling (bikes can be hired). The area is spectacularly beautiful and has a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The villa is well equipped - and comfortable. The garden is wonderfully laid out with an excellent pool and several areas for outdoor eating and socializing. I never repeat a holiday experience, but Villa Briciola is tempting me.

we just needed a break!! Briciola was the right place for the right moment . whatever one's want to see it , this helped us to recover , relax and enjoy the atmosphere and...yes, ....: talk to each other. Everything was perfectly there, clean , well maintained..a great BBQ place in the garden..next to the pool I could have had invited quite a few friends of mine.the whole location transpires a sense of familiarity. Strategicaly located..it was easy for us to enjoy day trips to the Alps, Switzerland or shopping downtown Milan. Would suggest to do your grocery at Esselunga ..good value for money.. suggested restaurants: Il Cacciatore, (Laury and Leo are a fantastic couple that run this "trattoria"..good food and wine and may be ..if they are willing and not too busy ..play some sort of karaoke and sing for you too.. ha ha) ..don't go to La Pernice (lousy)..although the view from its terrace is breathtaking. overall nice vacation..Licia , friendly owner just one phone call away, did all her best to make ourselves at " home". Would certainly recommend La Briciola to my friends and relatives..may be next time will manage to come together with my sister's family.

Smukkeste udsigt over søen, dejlig have og mange hyggelige terasser. Traditionelt hus med meget historie. Både Barbara og Licia var fantastisk hjælpsomme. Eneste minus var støj fra trafikken på vejen foran

This house has an amazing view. Too bad that the noise from the road was so laud. Barbara the housekeeper was very nice and helped if we had any questions. The house had everything that you needed. Too bad that the kitchen was so small and old. It barely had room for 2 people to cook together. But overall we enjoyed staying in this house. Amazing garden and big pool.

Wir (4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder) haben einen schönen und entspannten Urlaub in Sulzano verbracht. Speziell der Pool hatte es den Kleinen angetan, für die Großen war es der Ausblick von der Terasse und das Gefühl, nicht in einem Standard-Ferienhaus gelandet zu sein. Die individuelle Ausstattung und das tolle, gut gepflegte Grundstück vermitteln schnell das Gefühl des Ankommens und fördern die Entspannung. Die Orte am Iseosee sind nicht touristisch überlaufen wie am Nachbar Gardasee, hübsch, aber nicht so funktionell. Hat uns gut gefallen. In Sulzano kommt die Möglichkeit des schnellen Übersetzens zur Monte Isola positiv hinzu. Das einzige Manko ist sicherlich die recht laute Umgehungsstraße unterhalb der Villa Briciola, aber dafür kommt man auch recht schnell zu den anderen Orten. Wir können ein Urlaub dort nur empfehlen, für uns war es genau das richtige.

Perfect villa for a holiday with 3 generations :-) The view from the villa over Lago d’ Iseo was amazing. Perfect backup from Lecia and Barbara. Thank you :-) The only “problem” was more noise than expected from the main road. Henning and family
