The location is amazing. 2 min from the Metro station. In close proximity you have a bakery, so many restaurants. The area is lively at 9 am and at 10pm. The room was perfect for people who are looking for a place to get a shower, rest and then get moving again.
It did get noisy from the other rooms in the mornings but in a city like Paris when tourists are everywhere any time of the day it was not a big deal. We went to bed early so the noise didn`t bother us.

Nice quiet location, good little kitchen. Own fridge and microwave. Come and go as please and 24 reception. Good showers
The toilets could of been topped up more regularly & cleaned but it was not a game changer

The friendliness of the reception staff. We had to move floors from the 5th to 2nd due to wifi not connecting. The lady at the front desk, assisted my wife with carrying the luggage down.
The genteleman Farouk/ Faeez? was the best I have dealt with in a while. Always willing to assist and very friendly..
the only thing was the cleaning staff and the noise she made when cleaning. she would scream loudly from the 2nd floor to reception and have loud conversations.
1 specific day, we decided to stay in, she didnt respect the guests and proceeded to speak loudly and scream to the 2nd floor, which disturbed our rest.

Affordable and very convenient in its location, and good that reception was open all night.

Location is truly only good thing about this place
Bed bugs in every room. We asked to change rooms and all rooms had bed bugs. We told staff and they didn’t seen fazed by it. Told me to email manager. Manager ignored my email. Sinks don’t empty either. Over all the place was dirty. They continue to give the rooms to other guests even when there is bed bugs. They do nothing to stop it.

I loved the location and the staff was incredibly friendly
I got bit by some kind of bug, presumably in my sleep, all over my left hand/arm, and right ankle. I noticed it the next day, and I got an allergic reaction to the bug and had to go to the ER when I returned home.

Honestly the staff was SO nice, everything was very clear, there are 5 showers in the building (with toilettes in each, and 4ish separate toilets) and we stayed at peak tourist time and never had to wait to use anything. Everything was clean and some soap was provided. I was SUPER worried about bed bugs bc I saw some reviews on google made 4 months before our stay but we were totally fine! They also let us keep our suitcases there after checkout so we could wander around!! Overall great value for your money and location!!
Our sink didn’t drain but we chose to stay in the room even when offered a new one because it didn’t bother!

I really liked the was I was treated while I was there. Neighborhood is very safe and very close to metro station. The room was super clean and private.
It lacks an elevator, but that´s comprehensible since it´s an old building. Staff are very helpful.

Excellent location, great to be near Bastille market. Excellent price. Great to have a fridge, a microwave and a fan in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and welcoming. I love the authentic Parisian window rail and the view from my window (room 13)
The stair carpet is disgusting. The whole place needs sprucing up everywhere. The floor of my room wasn’t clean.

Cheap, really great value for money . I liked the authentic Parisienne window banisters. My room had a full sized fridge, a microwave, a fan and its own sink.
Men wandering around In their underpants to use the shared toilets. Smell of weed. Could hear the guy next door shouting at his partner.

Good location an easy walk from Opera Bastille and Gare du Lyon, and a pleasant if longer stroll along the Seine to Notre Dame. Pretty cheap for a room in central Paris. OK for a one-night stay.
A bit shabby and unkempt. Staircase to upper floors is uneven and has frayed carpets, which verges on the dangerous; it would be very easy to trip over on it. Bed not amazingly comfortable. Only two tiny sachets of shampoo / body wash provided in the room - not enough for a decent shower - and no soap at the basins. Area to leave luggage was a room next to check-in so wasn't under surveillance.

This hotel was easy to find. We were nervous after the review about noise and bedbugs, but can very happily say that we experienced neither. The room was a good size, clean, the beds were two singles but comfortable and there was plenty of shelf and cupboard space. We hit Paris in the June heatwave and had brought a fan with us, which i think made sleep possible as there's no aircon. We didn't ask for a fan, they may have been able to provide, I don't know. We were checked in by very kind and smiling concierges, and we were in room #1 which has an en-suite bathroom and strangely verly little noise. Great value for a stop over night, we would do that again as it's great value for money in comparison to competitors.
Oh the TV was confusing to use, would only select one channel.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of a lot of Paris landmarks and neighbourhoods. The staff are friendly. Overall the hotel is very very basic , but good if you are a low-maintenance type person staying for a night or two, at most.
The facilities are lacking. There is no soap in any of the bathrooms, and some have no toilet paper. The showers are not cleaned regularly. The towel I was given had dried chewing gum stuck to it.

Very basic, good place to sleep and put your stuff. great location, very close to Voltaire station.
Climbing all the stairs, shared toilets. Needed a little more storage, such as a cupboard or shelf.

The hotel was only a few minutes walking from the Voltaire stop of line 9. Just follow the metro exit for Rue Sedaine. This is a very basic one star hotel that has definitely seen better days but the staff was nice and the shared bathrooms were clean. I stayed on floor 6 which was the top floor. My room had a mini fridge, a microwave, a sink and cable TV. The mattress and pillows looked new and that might be why I didn't wake up with any bug bites.
The shared bathrooms were on the 2nd, 4th and 5th floors. The stairs were a bit steep and worn and there was no elevator like most old hotels in Paris. The city also has a bad bed bug problem and this can happen at even 5 star hotels but is more likely a problem at lower rated establishments because they have less resources to deal with replacing room furnishings.
To Orly airport i took Line 9 to Oberkampf and changed to Line 5 to Place d' Italie and then changed to Line 7 to Villejuif Louis Aragon. That took 45 mins and cost only one metro ticket or 2.15 Euro. Once you exit the metro you take Tram 7 to Orly Terminal 4. That took 30 mins and required another 2.15 Euro ticket. From The Tram it took me 10 mins to walk and use the free airport sky Tram to Terminal 1. Terminals 2 and 3 are another 5 and 8 minutes walking respectively.

The name of the hotel and that a mad man headbutted the front entrance door so no need to open it with a key
There is no lift and everyday I had to walk up and down 5 flights of steps to get to my room . Thanks for the unwanted cardio. Shared toilet has no toilet seat. Only provide 3 shampoo packets on first day (i was there 5 days). And its not possible to request unless you wait for cleaner to enter room at 12pm.

Bookked this on price alone but was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very accommodating - so that made it easy. The room was simple and uncluttered but had everything essential. As a cheap place to stay in Paris this was successful. So much so that a few days later when I needed a new place for a night I happily went back.

Affordable, pleasant staff
Overall like staying in a room of someone’s house. Soundproofing was not good and our room was on the top floor (6 flights of stairs up).

The wall are so thin you can hear everything from the near rooms and the corridors.
The Wi-Fi didn’t work.
The toilet in the first floor was dirty.
Zero control during the night, on Saturday night a group of guys were partying in their rooms and the corridors shouting and slamming the doors.
