Location, lLocation, Location! Also, the room was dated but well equipped.

The fact that the microwave and refrigerator were located in the lobby; If they added just a refrigerator to each room that would be awesome. Also, being a Black American, the lobby decor is a bit off putting considering the nature of the art. They might want to consider providing some context for displaying subservience in that manner. There is a long history of colonialism that continues to affect people in a myriad a ways. No need to offend guest unnecessarily!

Excellent staff, lovely room, the best area

Location: Just a few steps from Voltaire Metro Station. Public transportation in Paris is extensive and efficient, so you can reach virtually any destination with ease. Room: It’s a small apartment with a very compact bathroom.

Communication: I sent four emails with a question before my arrival—they never replied. Staff/language: If there is one thing I always expect from hotel staff, it’s courtesy. At Hotel Paris Voltaire, the experience was a mixed bag. The men were always very polite and kind. However, the two women (who couldn’t speak a single word of English) were incredibly rude and arrogant—though, of course, they sprinkled their attitude with plenty of “bonjours.” We started our vacation at check-in, unfortunately, with one of the women. To make us understand her French (again, they don’t speak any English!), she began raising her voice, which I found completely inappropriate.
