the hotel itself was very nice!!! except for bed bugs which ruined my weekend!!

the location and staff, they have a billiard downstairs which is really good

The bed had bed bugs. I developed a severe allergic reaction and woke up on Saturday morning covered in bites. When I reported this, the staff said they had not found any bugs. However, I went to a dermatologist who confirmed that this was 100 percent a reaction to bed-bug bites and prescribed medication. the hotel tried to blame it on me and asked if I had travelled somewhere before, but of course this was very recent for the severe allergic reaction i could tell it was from the night before that i slept there- To their credit, the hotel changed my room to a single room the second night, but I am now required to take cortisone, antihistamines, and other medication for an entire month due to the severity of the reaction!!! my friends didn't get any bites though so maybe you are lucky! or i was unlucky! I attach a pic the second one is on the hotel room they gave me the second day, the first one is when i came back home, this really ruined my weekends as i could not ski bc of this issue, and had to go home for treatment!

The dormitory didn’t have enough ventilation and it felt too hot and stuffy to sleep in the room with 6 others. So better ventilation would be the answer.

Simple hostel , great location and great views.

The hostel is in a great location, between tri-cable gondola station and mountain railway going up to Eiger Gletscher (then to Jungfraujoch). The hostel rooms are clean and simple with shared showers and toilets. There is a bar / grill bar next door for sausage and fries. It worked well for our visit to see the Eiger and would be great for ski trips. It’s a 7 min walk from the rail station up from interlaken.

Location was great, staff was amazing. There’s a mobile bar that’s located by bus station that’s open in the afternoon!

Clean, close to bus station. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Toilets were on same floor, hair dryer was available in shower rooms for use.

The breakfast could’ve had a little more of a selection and our beds were not made not sure if it’s bc it’s suppose to be a hostel or maybe I missed the memo however trash was taken out every day. No smart tv. We were not able to connect our phones to tv :( So We were stuck watching German shows. We do not speak it. For the cost of the room you would think tv would be updated. But if that’s not a deal breaker for you. Book the room!

An awesome place to stay!

The staff was super helpful, the rooms were comfortable, there was a fantastic indoor and outdoor lounge, game room and bar. And the included breakfast was unbelievable! Fabulous!

The showers were a little bit dark and could use some freshening up.

Overall, it was a good stay.

The place is easily accessible. The train station and the cable car station is close-by which made traveling to places pretty easy. Especially, if you are traveling alone and you want to save your money for the adventures in Grindelwald, Eiger lodge is a good option to choose.

I stayed in a shared room with 5 other people. The toilets available was just 1 for like 20 people in that floor. So, that was a bit annoying. Could have kept at least two in a single row.

One shared kitchen was packed at dinner time. Because only have a microwave and an electronic kettle. Shared shower rooms are located in the downstairs. Except for it, everything was fine.

Excellent place with exceptional staff, that provide more than the basics

Very friendly, helpful staff. Easy going facility. Great showers with body wash provided. Secure luggage storage area. Coffee provided for guests. Secure storage lockers in rooms. Easy walking distance to Grindelwald station.

Great location, wonderful staff, and a beautiful, spacious stay at the apartments.

Breakfast was very good but could use a little more variety.

Pillows a little flat. More choices with firmness. We did not like that the kitchen didnt have basic condiments like salt and pepper.

Good option to enjoy The Top of Europe.

Very close to a rope way station to The Top Of Europe, nice location for this purpose. Breakfast is good and well-organized. Surrounded by beautiful nature (Just foothill of Aiger).

A bit far from village center. (Possible to use train or bus.) Room is a bit tight. (No big problem because the purpose is outside.)

Amazing buffet breakfast in soso doormitory

For a hostel, an amazing buffet breakfast! Fresh ingedrients and much choice. Staff were very helpful and kind.

I can only tell from the room I was in, but the doormitory was not that great. Hardly any ventilation with smelly hiking shoes and sweat being prevalent. The top bed had no protection barrier from falling and was almost against the ceiling.

I really enjoyed my time here great view of Eiger, near the terminal, clean, good value for money and great outdoor seating.

even though I enjoyed my stay here there are some things that would have made it easier - fridge / hob - plugs at every bed - better/ spare pillows - the bar / grill being open more often

Disappointing

the location is somehow far from view points in Grindelwald - breakfast was really good and also they will give you a ticket to have a good access to city center

the guys who was shared the room with, were so noisy during night and we couldn't sleep comfort , i think Eiger Lodge must have some strict laws in shared rooms to control the noises.

Best lodge except laundry machine.

Breakfast was very good. Staff was very kind. location is best .

One laundry machine isn’t enough to use for every guests within 6hours. I couldn’t use laundry machine because many girls (one group)was keeping to washing & dry from 16:00 to 22:00 . It takes 50min. per person.So they did not finish until 22:00

The location was great, it's only a walking distance to the terminal and gondola. I stayed in a private room which was pretty big and the bathrooms were always clean. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Grindewald.

a well maintained place to stay with friendly staff.

the staff was super nice and helpful. great location. we liked the outdoor seating and ping pong table. also that the showers and toilets were cleaned often. the refrigerator was kept cleaned out as well.

it said there was a kitchen area but should have mentioned they didn’t have a stove, cutting board or pots.

Spacious common area with plenty of seating, and free (shabby) pool table. Clean rooms and plenty of toilets/showers, all of which were pretty much spotless. Excellent transport links and a supermarket nearby in the terminal. The breakfast is phenomenal too

The top bunks in the rooms are difficult to climb up/down as they have very little head-room. Would also be good to add a little shelf and charging port for the top bunks. I think they should take some of the head-room from the bottom bunks to improve the situation a bit, I appreciate space is limited

First of all, the location is great. It's easy to get to everywhere, and the staff is very nice and friendly. I'm goona 100% re-visit this!

A lot kids running and screaming.

Close to train station to Jungfrau.

I didn't get the idea of this hostel. Looks like is a school on the side, and the 2 days I stayed there was a bunch of kids running around and yelling inside the hostel. They even put a sign in the breakfast room in some tables saying that the space is reserved to the school. What is the point? Even late night was a lot of kids running and doing loud noise, loud conversation. Also don't expect to have electric power outlets in side of your bed because they don't have.

Perfect location next to the Ski lift. Good breakfast. Right next to the Terminal Apres Ski

Easy Rooms part a bit too old. Signs for indications a bit poor, difficult to find showers and toilets.
