Hotel Duette Paris

We recently stayed at Hotel Duette and overall had a pleasant experience, particularly because of its fantastic location. The street the hotel is located on is absolutely wonderful — lined with charming cafés, boutiques, bakeries, and local shops. It felt very authentic and was one of our favourite areas to explore. At the end of the street, you’ll find the most delicious moussaka we’ve ever tasted. At around €8–9 a slice, it was incredible and honestly better than some of the moussaka we’ve had in Greece! The room itself was quite basic but comfortable and very clean. We stayed on the third floor and appreciated the small window, which allowed plenty of fresh air into the room. The street was also very quiet at night, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. We always felt safe in the neighbourhood. One thing to note is that the rooms are quite small. There was barely enough room for one large suitcase and one smaller bag, and anything more would have felt very cramped. For the price we paid, we would have expected a few additional amenities. Complimentary bottled water each day would have been appreciated, especially given how hot Europe is during summer. There is also no refrigerator in the room, which would have been very useful for keeping water and drinks cold. Thankfully, the lovely kitchen staff kindly helped us refill our water bottles each morning when we were feeling quite parched. The check-in staff were courteous and professional, although they didn’t provide any maps, recommendations, or suggestions on what to see and do in the area. We ended up doing all of our own research. We were grateful that the hotel provided a clothes steamer when requested, which was a nice touch. The only real downside was the hotel entrance being locked after 10–11pm for security. While we appreciated the safety aspect, each evening we had to wait a few minutes for the staff member on duty to open the door, which became a little frustrating after several nights.

The accomodation is situated in a busy commercial street but once indoors there was nothing disturbing our sleep. A lot of shops and Bistros nearby made life easier. Although we arrived amidst a dreadful heatwave, the aircondition was workig perfectly. Breakfast was good and varied. Our room was kept cleaned and tidy daily. Top marks should be awarded to the personnel barr none, who are polite, helpful and punctual.

The room was rather tiny and the fact that the bed was too large left less space to move around. There were only some coathangers but not a proper wardrobe.

Second time staying at Hotel Duette the position is perfect.

Rooms are on the small side.

No on site bar/ drinks available. My room was on level five and the shower in my room was porky situated meaning I had to hold the shower head to wash
