B&B Martina

The hostess Martina and the way she treated us - it felt like family, if not more. The property itself is brilliant with a sea view to die for. Room prices are very reasonable too. But what makes it exceptional is Martina and her team - super warm is an understatement. Breakfast is freshly cooked by Martina and is more than adequate. She arranged day trips to Mt Etna and other places we were interested in with some of the finest tour companies at a very reasonable price and great guides/drivers. Last but not least, we gathered on the terrace overlooking the sea, every evening, with other guests from different countries along with Martina, sharing a drink and a laugh. How cool is that! If we ever return to Taormina, this is the place we’ll stay again for sure.

If you have mobility issues, this might not be the right place for you as the property is on the 3rd floor and there are no lifts. It’s a 20 minutes uphill walk to the town, and there aren’t any other nearby place for dinner - but Martina kindly drove us to the town every evening. Amazingly kind. But then on the way back from town you have to either take a relatively easy walk back by the side of a carriageway with speedy cars (with potentially dangerous crossings) or take a cab back for 15 euros. This doesn’t by any means reflect negatively on the property but is something to be aware of if you have mobility issues or small kids. This potential downside is more than compensated by every other positive aspect I mentioned before.

We had a fabulous 6-night stay at B&B Martina in Taormina. Martina is an amazing host who made us feel more like family than guests from the moment we arrived. The breakfast each morning was beautiful, and the views from the property were simply incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return again one day.

Plus, it’s conveniently within walking distance to the town, making it easy to explore local attractions and amenities. Overall, I highly recommend B&B Martina for anyone looking for a charming and relaxing getaway. The combination of a caring host, delicious food, stunning views, and a peaceful atmosphere makes it a standout choice
