I cant wait to return. A rare gem !

Wonderful bed and breakfast, super clean, very convenient location, minutes to mont saint michel, central to Brittany and very near to Normandy too. Will for certain stay here again when in the area. Owner called and made us reservations at a super, local chef ran restaurant about 2 minutes away. Got curry in town the next day that was great. 2 minutes from Rua de Stuart main street, 22 minutes to very scenic and medieval DINAN. Family style and great conversation with them. We used to own/run a BNB, and my wife and I agree that this is a model of what a BNB should be. I really didnt want to leave, but we pushed on to Carnac and checked that curiosity box. Next time I remain in Dol De Bretagne for more days.

Owner even helped us get luggage to room. There is nothing bad here - people are great and the home is great.

Perfect stay in a charming home decorated in a typical French style

Lovely room in the family home which is a modern detached villa in the outsirts of the town (10 walk to bars & restuarants). Free secure parking on site. The hosts were lovely, and although they didn't speak English, and our French is a bit limited we managed to communicate okay with the help of their grandaughter!! Lovely room with ensuite, clean nice towels etc. Breakfast was excellent, juice, fruit, breads, croissants, cheese, very nice. We would stay there again, can't say better than that. We had a fabulous evening meal in the local hotel, Hotel de Bretagne in the town square, don't go anywhere else, pork cheeks were unbelievable, as were the oysters, and pudding, yum.

Amazing stay

Our hosts were wonderful. They are fantastic people. We felt very welcomed in their home. What a pretty home! We stayed in the triple room, which is a very private corner with own shower and toilet. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of personal touches and home made treats that makes it memorable. I highly recommend it.

Chez Marie et Jean François was a beautiful & authentic bed & breakfast. The hosts were very friendly & the breakfast they served us in the morning was delicious, featuring some amazing local jams & butters & breads. I would highly recommend this location to anyone traveling to the region, especially if you are going to Mont Saint Michel.

Marie and Jean Francois were excellent hosts. Our room was beautifully clean and had the benefit of air conditioning. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Our French is pretty basic and our hosts spoke only a few words of English however we were able to enjoy interesting conversations. They seemed genuinely interested in us and that we enjoyed our stay. We would thoroughly recommend Chez Marie et Jean Francois for a short break or stop over. The small town of Dol de Bretagne was a good base for visiting the coast east of St. Malo.

Fab stay at this great B&B

We had a great couple of nights with Marie and Jean François. The room is comfortable and very clean. We booked it for our ferry home but it was a great location for visiting the coast and local towns. We had a great day exploring. It is only a 20 min walk to Dol de Bretagne for something to eat. We were given a really early breakfast so we had plenty of time to catch our ferry. Thank you both for your kindness. We would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Marie and Jean went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. The room was very pretty and spotlessly clean. We would certainly return and would recommend a stay here to any one.

very impressive room for breakfast, comfortable sleeping arrangements with private bath / shower /WC, easy parking with, because we had bikes on the car, permission to park overnight on their drive. Helpful and friendly owners.

The property is a fair way outside Dol de Bretagne, if on foot. Parking can be difficult in the town. The spiral staircase up to the room may be an issue with folk of limited mobility. It was not a problem for us.

The good things outweigh the negative ones. The hosts were very friendly. Bedroom had a fan which is always welcome. The breakfast was nice.

A delay in getting into the property, waiting outside is never fun. It isn't clear on the website that if the accomodation is full the room we stayed in would have been sharing a bathroom.

E' stato un soggiorno alternativo. Noi ci aspettavamo un hotel e forse non avevamo capito bene che la soluzione era presso una casa. E' comunque stato tutto piacevole

La scala per accedere alle camere è una scala a chiocciola. Per noi è risultata un po' scomoda anche se Marie e Jean ci hanno aiutato con la valigia.

Come essere a casa!

Non manca nulla e c'è anche il posto auto, posizione strategica per raggiungere i luoghi vicini, ma un giretto nella stessa Dol bisogna farlo: molto carina e con una cattedrale bellissima! Marie e Jean François sono persone splendide e preparano una buonissima colazione (solo dolce), lo avevo letto nelle recensioni e sono contenta di averci creduto! Le marmellate di Marie sono fantastiche!

Wir waren auf dem Zöllnerweg als Wanderer unterwegs, diese Unterkunft lag sehr günstig für uns und hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen: so freundlich, charmant und ein wunderbares Frühstück gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen im Wohnraum von Marie und Jean - einfach großartig!

Leider sind unser Französisch- Kenntnisse zu gering - so konnten wir leider nur einen Bruchteil verstehen, aber wir sind trotzdem bestens zusammengekommen :-)
