Dugdales Cottage

Small but great accomodation. All a couple need for a comfortable stay in Settle. The town has a number of pubs and restaurants (I recommend Matteos) and within beautiful Limestone countryside. Must see: Malham Tarn and Malam Cove, Ribblehead Viaduct and the village of Dent.

Nothing really.

We made our own breakfast and ate out for every other meal therefore did not use any of the facilities in the cottage for cooking The only thing we used was the toaster

Because of the position of the cottage the parking outside was extremely restricted in fact we were never able to park outside the cottage even though there were 3 available spaces which were always occupied by the same 3 vehicles whatever time of day you returned to the cottage We used the pay and display carpark which is just around the corner therefore over the 4 days we spent around £25 on parking fees --not ideal

The location

Needed total refurbishment. Carpet split from bedroom door , trip hazard. The pans in kitchen were awful all the non stick coating was all peeling off. Some kitchen cupboards filthy. Freezer was full of ice so couldn’t get anything in it. Just not clean!!
