Hakuna Matata

The staff was wonderful, helpful and kind. The dorm and bathroom were very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything I needed, to include cubbies for each person's individual storage space. And it was just a 2 minute walk to the beach and tram. The price is good too.

The property still seems to be a work in progress with its landscaping. It has a high potential for being super beautiful, but some of the plants are neglected and need a lot more care. I offered to come back and help them with the plants, which they accepted. Also, there's a few mosquitos, so be aware (late June 2026).

Lo que más me gustó es que tiene piscina, también que el lugar está al iré libre, la cama era cómoda y el buen ambiente entre la gente allí. También me gustó que está muy cerca la parada del tram y que se puede llegar caminando a la playa.

Todo me gustó.

For Alicante, the price is reasonable. Low number of beds in hostel so cannot get crowded. Cotton sheets and pillowcases provided, use of personal bedding not allowed (which I totally support, as it is the quickest way of spreading bedbugs between hostels). It is right next to a tram stop, with trams running into town every 15 minutes, journey time about 25 minutes. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach. The owner/manager is very friendly and pleasant.

It is basic, old and very tired, although rooms and kitchen is kept clean. The pool was only half full and the water did not look inviting for a swim. Everywhere other than rooms is a smoking area - there was even a full ashtray on the kitchen table one day. For those looking for the social experience that hostels often provide, this is not the place. It is in a quiet area with very little 'action' nearby. There were only four other people while I was there. It has more of a 'residential' than hostel vibe. There are young children that reside on site, which didn't suit me.
