Poggio Mirteto: Mansion - Poggio mirteto House with character

Our family had an amazing stay at this beautiful property in June. Everything was absolutely perfect—the house itself, the stunning views, and the peaceful surroundings. The house has everything you could possibly need and is very well-ventilated, so it felt fresh and comfortable even during the hot days.Giorgio, the owner, was an exceptional host. He was incredibly helpful and quick to respond if we needed anything, and he gave us fantastic recommendations for local spots and food. It was a truly unique experience to stay here. We highly recommend this place 100%!Warm greetings from Iceland!

We had a wonderful stay. The house, the view, and the surroundings are beautiful. The only downside was that the pool was chlorinated and not saltwater, as described in the listing.A stay here is highly recommended.

Beautiful traditional family house. Amazing views. Lovely pool. I swam most days. Peaceful setting that we did not want to leave. Stayed for a month!. Giorgio and his sister were very helpful. Well stocked kitchen. We fell in love with Poggio Mirteto town. We had lovely walks, visited hill towns . Enjoyed Marmore falls and Narni in particular.. Easy access to train station in 20 minutes. Umberto on hand next door if there is a problem. Bliss....

We've had an all around great time in this beautiful property. It was clean, had everything we needed and was situated in a beautiful location. The pool was great to cool off on the hot days, as well as the shady area right next to it. There are 3 full bedrooms and one sleeping couch on the sitting area upstairs. We had hoped for 4 full bedrooms, but could manage with just the three. The patios outside are placed in a way that one of them is always in the shade, while one is sunny. Very nice for some breakfast outside without getting too hot. There is always a nice breeze and there are fans all over the house if you need them. The shops are very close by and there are lots of little towns near by that you can visit and look at. Rome is just an hour away and a perfect day trip. When one of the windows broke during a big thunder storm Livia helped us right away and organised for a glass maker to fix it for us. One thing we could suggest is, that if you're travelling by car, you follow the coordinates provided by the host, as it is quite difficult for non-natives of Italy to find the house just by adress or directions. But other than that it is quite easy to find with a navigation system, the road there are, while a bit pot-holey, quite nice and offer a great view of the hills. All in all a great stay and we will definitely try to come back one day! Thank you to Livia and her family for making our stay go as smoothly as it did!
